Case 1: Practitioner Mr. Xia Anjun from Beijing City
Practitioner Mr. Xia Anjun was born in 1963 and used to be a staff member at the Beijing Forestry University. During the time that he was illegally detained for practicing Falun Gong, the persecutors sent messages to his family members, claiming that Mr. Xia had run away during a recess on April 18, 2001. However, Mr. Xia did not return home and his family members still do not know whether he is still alive.
Case 2: Practitioner Mr. Wang Wei from Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous RegionPractitioner Mr. Wang Wei was illegally held for three months in the Kuerle City Detention Center, beginning at the end of 2000, after the authorities at the Kuerle City Train Station in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region conducted a search and found that he was carrying Falun Gong books. For three days and three nights, seven police officers from Shihezi City continuously tortured Mr. Wang. The inmates from the same room said that every day, they could see signs of beating on Wang Wei when he returned to the room. In February 2001, Mr. Wang was taken away by police and his whereabouts have since been unclear.
Case 3 and Case 4: Practitioners Ms. Liu Chunxia and Ms. Xu Menglan from Dalian City
Practitioner Ms. Liu Chunxia is in her twenties and lived in the Wafangdian District of Dalian City. She had an assumed name, Li Zhihui. On April 20, 2002, Ms. Liu and an older practitioner, Ms. Xu Menglan, were both arrested by police in the Fengtai District of Beijing City. Since then, her whereabouts have been unknown.
Practitioner Ms. Xu Menglan is in her fifties. She was arrested along with Ms. Liu Chunxia in the Fengtai District of Beijing City in 2002, but was released and returned to Dalian City. Recently, Ms. Xu suddenly disappeared in Dalian City. For the past several months, those who had been in contact with her have all been unable to contact her, including her husband and son.
Ms. Gao Yumei was a 73-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Qishui Town, Qishui County, Shandong Province. In order to avoid long-term harassment, having her home ransacked, and arrest, she was forced to become homeless. She passed away on February 20, 2006.
Gao Yumei used to have very severe diabetes and could not take care of herself. After she began the practice of Falun Gong in 1996, her diabetes disappeared and she became a healthy person. She often went to rural areas to promote Falun Gong using her own experience.
After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, Gao Yumei clarified the truth to people. She went to Beijing several times to appeal for Falun Gong. As a result, her home was ransacked, and she was arrested and fined many times. She was forced to leave home several times. In February 2000, along with two dozen fellow practitioners, she was arrested and sent to Qishui Town police station. The chief persecutors there were Li Hongwei, Qishui Town Comprehensive Administration Office Director, and He Fajiang, Qishui Town Political and Legal Committee Secretary.
In October 2000, 23 practitioners, including Gao Yumei were illegally detained in Gezhuang Middle School and forced to undergo brainwashing. Gao Yumei was brutally beaten by Li Hongwei and could not eat anything afterwards. She became extremely weak. Li Hongwei and his accomplices did not want to take any responsibility so they released her. However, about 10 days later she was sent back to the brainwashing class to be tortured some more. The thugs each held a tree branch in their hands and whipped practitioners hard with them. No one knows how many tree branches were broken during the beatings. The thugs also forced practitioners to run laps or do other types of strenuous exercises every day. Each time they would beat the last two practitioners who fell behind with tree branches. Practitioners Liu Minghai and Tian Fukui intentionally fell behind every time to protect other practitioners. The two of them were beaten numerous times by Ruan Bo and Song Dewang.
Later, Gao Yumei's house was demolished by the authorities and the local street committee did not give her any shelter. She had to live with her son. However, they still frequently went to her son's home to harass the whole family. She then moved to her cousin's home but her cousin's family was harassed as well. Even their neighbors were harassed.
In order not to bring trouble to her family, Gao Yumei began her long-term homeless life in 2002. She often did not have enough to eat or a good place to live. Her body was severely damaged. Pus and blood came out of her body. In the end she could not even walk or take in anything. On February 20, 2006, she passed away. She never wavered in her belief in Falun Gong.
According to inside sources, around May 15, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Yang Jianpo was unlawfully detained in Baoding City Prison. Responsible are agents from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Guangyang District and from the 610 Office in Langfang City. Further details are unknown.
Police from the National Security Group of Guangyang District Police Department, illegally arrested Yang Jianpo on February 5, 2006. He has been on hunger strike since that time to protest the persecution and has become extremely weak. The vicious police said that Yang Jianpo was too weak to even be force-fed and was at his last gasp.
Yang Jianpo's family members telephoned Guangyang District office head Liu, (Cell phone No. 86-13503162571) to enquire of Yang Jianpo's whereabouts. Liu told them rudely, "He has been sent to where he should go," and intimidated them by saying, "Behave yourself and do not run around here and there [trying to find Yang Jianpo]. I mean it. You'd better be careful!"
Yang Jianpo has been on a hunger strike for over three months to protest the illegal detention, and his life is currently in great danger. The 610 Office officials in Langfang City refuse to release him, saying that they cannot release him without the approval from the provincial or central government.
To cover up their illegal persecution, the 610 Office persecutors in Langfang City have transferred Yang Jianpo from one place to another, denying any family visits and refusing to tell his family his whereabouts. We appeal to international human rights organizations, to the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong and people who uphold justice to pay close attention to Yang Jianpo's plight.
Yang Jianpo has suffered from repeated persecution over the last few years. On March 30, 2003, he was unlawfully arrested and detained in Section 1 of the Fengrun Police Department in Tangshan City. Policeman Gao Wei and the Section Head chained him to a metal chair and repeatedly shocked him with a direct-current, 110-volt hand crank phone. He was deprived of sleep 24 hours a day. Even today, Mr. Yang still suffers symptoms such as tightness in the chest, gasping for air, dizziness and occasional convulsions. On February 20, 2004, Yang Jianpo was again arrested by police from the Guangyang Police Department in Langfang City. They sent him to the Kaiping Labor Camp in Tangshan City on February 25 for further persecution. Yang's body weight dropped sharply, from over 90 kilos (approximately 190 lbs) to less than 50 kilos (approximately 110 lbs) as a result of the persecution. At the time of his release on June 8, 2004, he only weighed about 40 kilos (approximately 85 lbs). Yang Jianpo, Cao Baoyu and a few other practitioners were arrested again during the 2006 Spring Festival while they were clarifying the truth to regime officials. After they were abused until they were close to death, personnel from the Guangyang District 610 Office transferred the practitioners to Guangyang District People's Hospital for further persecution.
Practitioner Mr. Cao Baoyu died the evening of April 27. Practitioner Mr. Yang Jianpo's life is currently in danger.
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yu Yingzhu, incarcerated at the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City, has been forbidden to have family visitations because she told of her persecution experiences at the camp during a family visit.
Ms. Yu Yingzhu, 32 years old, used to be held at a detention center and detained at a mental hospital because she firmly believed in Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. She has served a three-year term at the Baimalong Labor Camp already. She was tortured and lost consciousness twice. The camp released her ten days after she completed her three-year term. On June 8, 2004 the police broke into her home, arrested her and incarcerated her at Baimalong again. Ms. Yu Yingzhu was locked in small cell for eight days, forced to stand, and not permitted to sleep or eat. These tortures made her weak, dizzy and develop whole body edema, from which she still suffers symptoms.
On May 1, 2006, Yu's mother went to the camp to visit her. Yu Yingzhu told her mother that the camp authorities had incited several drug addicts to push her to the floor and forced her to sign a Repentance Statement. A guard nearby interrupted the women's conversation. The guard took her away, thus terminating the visit.
On May 3 a family member attempted to visit Ms. Yu, but was refused by the camp after the family pleaded with the camp officials for the whole morning. During the negotiations, Yu's mother listed all the incidents of persecution that happened to her daughter, such as standing in a small cell for eight days and nights, resulting in body edema with more severe symptoms in the hands and feet; withholding her clothes for no reason so that Ms. Yu could only wear a thin shirt in the winter. However, the 7th Group's leader who was personally involved in the persecution of practitioners denied any wrong-doing.
During the discussion, police officer Liu, ID 4329075, told Ms. Yu's family in a malicious tone, "Hey, no one died yet!" and another one, ID 4329150 shouted "Don't come if you do not cooperate with us!" The police officer on duty with ID 4329175 attempted to deceive the family by saying, "We don't do Falun Gong "transformation" anymore." When the family asked for the immediate release of Ms. Yu, he responded with a vicious laugh. Wu Hongyi, production division head, responded to accusations of persecution of the Falun Gong practitioners in the camp by saying, "There is no such thing. No one dies at our camp!"
The Zhuzhou City's Baimalong Forced Labor Camp is one of the camps where Falun Gong practitioners are severely persecuted. It was not long ago that a letter was sent to United Nations human rights commission signed by over a thousand family members of illegally detained practitioners at the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp to appeal for an investigation into that camp's extremely cruel crimes.
After his arrest on September 23, 2005, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Yequan from Daqing City went on hunger strike that has lasted more than seven months. There are many reports on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website about the persecution of Mr. Li Yequan. According to insiders, during the time he was held at the Daqing Forced Labor Camp, doctor Jiang Shijun and some inmates stepped on his shoulders and brutally force-fed him for more than four hours. The skin on his shoulders became abraded during the process. Later, he was transferred to the Suihua Forced Labor Camp. Doctor Jiang Shijun was awarded several thousand yuan because Mr. Li didn't die at the Daqing Labor Camp.
After Mr. Li was transferred to the Suihua Forced Labor Camp, his family went to visit him. Because his family understood and supported him, the labor camp officials refused to let them meet with him. According to insiders, Mr. Li has been holding a hunger strike at the Suihua Labor Camp.
In the afternoon on March 28, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Sun Hongchang from Qingyuan County, Fushun City, was working in a building when officers from the 1st Division of the Fushun City Police Department and from Qingyuan County illegally arrested and took him to the Tianqiao Police Department. In the evening, officers from the 1st Division of Fushun City Police Department savagely tortured Mr. Sun and continued for three days. Many people living close to the police department heard his screams the whole time.
The guards at the 1st Division forced Mr. Sun to spread his legs wide apart. They hammered bamboo sticks into his fingers and employed other methods they usually use to torture practitioners. When Mr. Sun was on the brink of death they sent him to Dashagou Detention Center in Qingyuan County. The detention center authorities saw that he was disabled and could die at any time, so they refused to accept him. These agents bribed the detention center officials, treating them to restaurant meals, and also pressured them. The center officials eventually accepted Mr. Sun.
On May 9, officials from the Qingyuan Detention Center phoned Sun Hongchang's family and told them to bring 1,000 yuan for his medical treatment. It was heard that the county hospital could not help him. The family learned that he was on the brink of death, so they went to the Tianqiao Police Department and asked for him. Wang Xingchuan, head of the National Security Group, not only refused to release Mr. Sun but also said that no one would be held responsible if a Falun Gong practitioner was beaten to death. He said, "It would be a lot better if we just beat Sun Hongchang to death."
After July 20, 1999, Mr. Sun and his three family members left home
to avoid
persecution and lived in exile. His wife, Wang Xiuxia, 47 years old,
was
persecuted several times. On May 29, 2003, officers from the 1st
Division and
from the
local police department arrested and tortured her. She died from
torture 16 days
later. Their younger son, Sun Feng, was only about eight years of age.
He missed
his mother and didn't have any money. He fell ill and died in 2005. Mr.
Sun's
older son is a university student.
The means employed to persecute Falun Gong practitioners in the Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp are both brutal and despicable, especially in the 1st Group. Heizuizi is located in Changchun, in China's northeast.
To achieve the target "transformation" rate and thereby earn themselves bonuses, the guards in the 1st Group put their full efforts into persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. A guard from the No. 3 group, Wang Lei (female), forced practitioners to write "transformation" statements. If a practitioner refused, Wang Lei would shock the practitioner with an electric baton. It was quite common to hear the sizzling sound of electric batons or to smell burnt flesh. This began five years ago, in 2001.
Su Guiying (female), a guard in the No. 1 group, applied even more despicable means to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. She forced the practitioners to take off their clothes, handcuffed their hands and poured a bucket of water over their bodies (to increase electrical conductivity). She then shocked them with an electric baton.
What is worse is that Su Guiying used an electric baton to shock the vaginal area and the vaginal tract of practitioners. Those who were tortured this way could not walk normally for a long period of time after.
Run Lifeng (male), the chief of the 1st Group, used an electric baton to torture practitioners, frequently causing them to lose control of urination and defecation.
Guard Ye Jiong (male) was specifically violent towards Falun Gong practitioners. Guards Li Ying (female), Su Guiying (female), Chen Ping (female) and others hold practitioners' heads underwater in a large water storage tank until they are close to drowning. After the practitioners wake up for a little while, they resume the torture.
All of the guards in the 1st Group changed their despicable means in order to achieve their goals. When some guards who still have consciences refused to collude with them, they use despicable means such as writing reports on these guards, accusing them of supporting Falun Gong, and finally pushing these guards to be transferred away.

Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Luo Laisong, Ms. Zhang Xinqi and Ms. Wang Xiaofan from Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province are being held at the Futian District Detention Center.
On April 5, 2006, police officers from the Shatou Station of Futian District arrested Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Luo Laisong. They ransacked his house and confiscated his computer and printer among other things. Practitioners Ms. Zhang Xinqi and Ms. Wang Xiaofan were arrested on the same day.
Mr. Luo Laisong, who is in his 30's, is a college graduate who majored in computer science. He had previously been arrested and detained for practicing Falun Gong. His wife works in Shenzhen and their child is only five years old.
Ms. Zhang Xinqi, a college graduate with an Associate degree, is a new practitioner. She started practicing Falun Gong only a year ago.
Ms. Wang Xiaofan works in the accounting area. She was arrested and detained six times, and was once held in Sanshui Forced Labor Camp. She has endured tremendous hardships. This is the seventh time that she has been arrested.
1. [Hubei Province] Mr. Zhou Jiangang Tortured at Qinduankou Prison; Life Status Unknown
Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhou Jiangang was in peril due to torture at the Qinduankou Prison. At 3:00 p.m. on April 25, 2006, he was sent to Wuhan City's Emergency Room for medical treatment. His present situation is unknown.
2. [Hubei Province] One More Practitioner Tortured to Death at Qinduankou Prison
According to reliable sources, a practitioner held in Qinduankou Prison in Hubei Province was tortured to death on April 25, 2006.
3. [Yanbian City, Jilin Province] Practitioners Ms. Wu Yingzi and Ms. Xu Jinshu Arrested
On April 25, 2006, policeman Guan Qingyou, the Wangqing County National Security Group chief, and 20 more officers from the Wangqing Town Police Department broke into practitioner Ms. Wu Yingzi's home and arrested six practitioners. They also ransacked her home. She and practitioner Ms. Xu Jinshu are presently being held at the county's Zhong'an Detention Center.
4. [Liaoning Province] Recent Information on Practitioners Persecuted at the Dalian City Forced Labor Camp
Wardens of the 8th Group in Dalian City Forced Labor Camp tortured "unlawfully detained" practitioners in a small compartment. When their supervisors come to inspect the prison they close the small compartment but reopen it afterwards.
In early September 2005, practitioner Mr. Gu Shuchun was tortured in the small compartment. During the daytime, wardens handcuffed him to two separated beds, with his arms extended in opposite directions. He was forced to sit on a low stool and could not make any movement. During the night, wardens handcuffed him to the two sides of his bed so that he could not turn over. The handcuffs cut into his flesh and caused excruciating pain. He suffered various tortures until another practitioner was put into the small compartment.
In the middle of October 2005, practitioners Mr. Yang Liguo and Mr. Han Qu were put into the small compartment. They suffered from the same torture as practitioner Gu Shuchun. Additionally, they were force-fed every day. The rubber tubes used for force-feeding were always left in, and the two practitioners consequently had difficulties breathing. They are still being tortured.
Virtually every newly arrested practitioner has been tortured in the small compartment. Policeman Han Wei is the person chiefly responsible for this torture.
In February 2005, practitioner Mr. Liu Jilian was arrested for the second time and sentenced to two years of forced labor there. His health has deteriorated because of torture. He has diseases in different organs. He had a stroke, urinates frequently and has difficulty walking from severely swollen feet. Even though he is struggling to live, he is still being unlawfully held.
5. [Wafangdian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Mr. Zhao Chenglin Tortured in Wafangdian Prison
We have recently heard that practitioner Mr. Zhao Chenglin, who is in Wafangdian City's Prison, went on a hunger strike. Because the prison has blocked all information about practitioners, this is the only message smuggled out.
6. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Ms. Liu Hongying Tortured at a Brainwashing Center
At 9:00 a.m. on April 30, 2006, practitioner Ms. Liu Hongying and her 13-year-old daughter from Xifan Village, Longrao County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, took the bus from Longrao County to Julu County. She clarified the truth to other passengers and distributed flyers on the bus, but someone reported her to the police. When the bus arrived at Julu County Station, policemen waiting there arrested them and took them to the county's police station. Ms. Liu is presently being held at Xingtai City's Brainwashing Center.
7. [Huangchuan County, Henan Province] Practitioner Ms. Wu Yan Facing Illegal Trial
Practitioner Ms. Wu Yan was born in January 1975 in Huangchuan County, Henan Province. She started to practice Falun Gong in 1997. Ms. Wu was nabbed many times for clarifying the truth of Falun Gong. She has been illegally sentenced to one and a half years of imprisonment.
During the afternoon of November 22, 2005, police arrested her again, this time at the Renmin University of China campus. They put her into the Haidian District's Qinghe Detention Center in Beijing for three months. Because she refused to tell police her name and address, they brutally beat her. On February 23, 2006 she was transferred to the Beijing Detention Center in the Chaoyang District. In mid-May, police submitted her case to the Haidian District Prosecutor's Department for sentencing.
8. [Yuzhou City, Henan Province] Officials from the Prosecutor's Department Attempt to Cite Practitioners Mr. Lu Wenxue and Mr. Wang Hongchang
The cases of practitioners Mr. Lu Wenxue and Mr. Wang Hongchang held at Yuzhou City's Detention Center have been transferred to the city's Prosecutor's Department, officers of which will cite the two practitioners. The practitioners' family members have clarified the truth and requested their release many times.
9. [Changge City, Henan Province] Practitioner Mr. Zhang Qingchen Has been Held Nearly Three Months
On January 9, 2006, the police from Changge City Police Department's Political Security Division arrested practitioner Mr. Zhang Qingchen. He has so far been held at the city's detention center for nearly three months.

[Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Duan Shengsheng and Ms. Sun Li SentencedPractitioner Mr. Duan Shengsheng was sentenced to three years and practitioner Ms. Sun Li to five and a half years of imprisonment by the Yuhua District's Court. They did not acknowledge the verdict and requested unconditional release.

Between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. on April 25, 2006, seven policemen headed by the Wenhua Road Police Station chief in the Haigang District, Qinhuangdao City, broke into and ransacked the houses of three practitioners in their 70s. The only reason was that they practice Falun Gong. Besides confiscating all Falun Gong books, they unreasonably fined each of them 200 yuan.
The three practitioners were Xiao, Zhang, and Sui. Xiao and Zhang lived alone. After practicing Falun Gong, they became healthy and are not a burden to their families at all.
14. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Practitioner Mr. Zhang Jinsheng Arrested
Personnel from the Nanzhai Police Station in the Jiancaoping Police Department in Taiyuan City arrested practitioner Mr. Zhang Jinsheng, who is being detained at the Jiancaoping Police Department Detention Center.
15. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] The Recent Situation of Practitioner Mr. Sha Jingye
After being arrested, practitioner Mr. Sha Jingye was sent to the Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Province Medical University because of his poor health. He is still under tight surveillance in that hospital. Some practitioners were recently arrested when they went to see him in the hospital.
16. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Hu Ao Facing Illegal Sentence
Practitioner Mr. Hu Ao, 27 years old, is a post-graduate student at the No.504 Institute of Astronautics Industry Corporation. Policemen from the Xi'an City Security Bureau arrested him in April 2006 for recording and distributing the Nine Commentaries.
17. [Yi County, Liaoning Province] Agents from the Dizang Temple Police Station Run After Two Practitioners
On May 1, 2006, two practitioners went to Dizang Temple to distribute truth-clarifying materials. Personnel of the Dizang Temple Police Station chased them in a mini-van and on motorcycles.
18. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Ailing's House Is Searched
On January 5, 2006, personnel from the Shouguang City Police Department broke into practitioner Ms. Li Ailing's house to search. They confiscated some Falun Gong books and tapes.
They often go to practitioners' homes to harass them.
1. [Liaoning Province] Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners in Liaoyang Huazi Jail
Shenyang practitioners, Mr. Wang Jiangning and Mr. Yu Jinquan, were arrested in November of 2005. They were detained and persecuted in Liaoyang Huazi Jail. In Liaoyang Huazi Jail, Wang Jiangning went on a long term hunger strike and suffered many inhumane tortures, such as being chained to a bed for long periods of time, violent force-feeding, being forced to sit on a little bench, etc.
Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Qu Lianxi (from Dalian), Mr. Tian Xiaofei, Mr. Ren Xiaowei (from Huru Island), Mr. Wang Baojin(from Yinkou), Mr. Wang Limin(from Diaobin Mountain), Tan Shiqiu(from Kaiyuan), Wang Jiangning (from Shenyang), Wang Xin(from Shenyang) etc. held a hunger strike in Liaoyang Huazi Jail to resist the persecution. They received severe, inhumane treatment.
Furthermore, Mr. Lianpin (from Dongang, in his 30's) and Mr. Fan Xuejun(from Shenyang, in his 30's) passed away in the jail in July 2004 and September 2004, respectively. Both of them died from falling, or possibly being pushed, from a cement wall over 20 meters tall.
2. [Daqin, Heilongjiang] Liu Shujie and Her Daughter Illegally Arrested by Hangzhou Police and Sentenced
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Shujie, 55 years old, and her daughter Huang Yu, 26 years old, were from Daqin City, Heilongjiang Province. They worked for Feilong Animation Production Company in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Because they were clarifying the truth, Hangzhou police arrested them on July 29, 2005. On February 23, 2006, Liu Shujie was illegally sentenced 6 years in prison, and Huang Yu received 3 years. On April 21, 2006, they were sent to the Zhejiang Province Women's Jail.
3. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Family Members of Zhao Hongli Visit Shenyang Jail City Hospital Seeking His Release
Chaoyang City Falun Gong practitioner Zhao Hongli is currently under persecution in Shenyang Jail City Hospital. His family members already went to Shenyang before May 4 to seek his immediate release. The following telephone numbers are for those involved in this case:

On April 25, because he distributed truth clarifying materials, Jilin practitioner Zhang Jun was arrested by policemen from the Xinanjie Police Station in Longtan district, Jilin City. This practitioner is currently detained at the Jilin City Detention Center.

Practitioner Mr. Zhao Chenglin is holding a hunger strike to protest the persecution he suffers Wafangdian Jail in Liaoning.
6. [Fushun, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Guan Shumei Detained at Xinbin Detention Center
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Guan Shumei is from Xinbin County, Fushun City, Liaoning. On April 25, 2006, she was arrested by policemen from the Xinbin Town Police Station. Currently, she is detained in Xinbin Detention Center.
7. [Fushun, Liaoning] Practitioner Zhang Xinzhong Has Not Been Heard from Since His Arrest
Around March 17-18, Mr. Zhang Xinzhong was arrested near the house he rented and has not been heard from since. Before this, Zhang Xinzhong had been wanted by Dandong Forced Labor Camp.
8. [Tongchuan, Shaanxi Province] Practitioner Zhou Fengqin and Zhou Jinli Arrested
On April 1, 2006, Shaanxi practitioner Ms. Zhou Fengqin and Ms. Zhou Jinli were arrested by policemen from the Yintai District Police Station Prosecution Team in Tongchuan City. Currently they are being held in the New District Detention Center in Tongchuan City.
Zhou Fengqin worked for Tongchuang City Women and Children Shelter. Zhou Jinli is affiliated with Shaanxi Province Shipping Company.
9. [Fushun,, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Zhang Guocheng Arrested; Whereabouts Unknown
Fushun practitioner Mr. Zhang Guocheng, 46 years old, was arrested at the end of March 2006 and has not been heard from since.
10. [Weifang, Shandong Province] Practitioner Ms. Wang Qicai Disappeared in Late April, 2006
11. [Langfang City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Zhang Fengde Detained at Langfang Detention Center
On February 5, 2006, Langfang practitioner Ms. Zhang Fengde went to Xianghe County departments to clarify the truth. She was arrested by the National Security Team of the Guangyang District Police Station from Langfang City. Currently, she is detained at the Langfang Detention Center.
12. [Guangxi] Wutong National Security Team Attempts to Arrest Practitioner Lai Xiuyun
On April 24, 2006, around 7:30 - 8:00 p.m., Du Gaoyin from the Wutong National Security Team and He Hongzhi, who is in charge of legal services for Wutong Town, knocked at the door and tried to arrest practitioner Ms. Lai Xiuyun. Lai Xiuyun, with strong righteous thoughts, dashed to the window and shouted "Falun Dafa is Good!" The neighbors, after hearing her shout, came out to rebuke the persecutors. The latter realized the trouble and went back to the car in a hurry and fled.
13. [Lanzhou, Gansu Province]Practitioner Mr. Liu Xiupin Is Missing after Being Arrested
Practitioner Ms. Liu Xiupin was arrested in Haishiwan on April 30, 2006. She has not been heard from since then.
14. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Zhang Qinyuan Arrested
On April 4, 2006, around 8 a.m., practitioner Mr. Zhang Qinyuan, his mother and younger sister were on a bus to a memorial service. When the bus almost arrived at Tuoluokou, two policemen got on the bus and searched everyone's luggage. Because Zhang Qingyuan refused to be searched, the bus went to the Tuoluokou Checking Station and the policemen arrested Zhang Yuanqin.
On the afternoon of the same day, Zhang Yuanqin's mother and younger sister went to the Tuoluokou Checking Station to pick him up. However, they were told that he was detained at the Hongyang Wangjiafan Second Detention Center, which refused to allow the family to visit him.
15. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Xie Changxiu Arrested and Sentenced
On April 22, 2005, practitioner Ms. Xie Changxiu from Yongguang Village, Zhuwa Town, Pengzhou City in Sichuan Province, in her 50s, was arrested at her home by people from Menyang Police Station and the 610 Office. Her home was also ransacked.
Xie Changxiu was sent to the Pengzhou City Detention Center and illegally sentenced to 4 years in jail. Xie Changxiu did not accept this and is currently appealing for the case.
16 [Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province] Multiple Practitioners, Including Zhang Zhongli and Others, Detained
On the evening of May 1, 2006, two practitioners from Zhangjiakou City were arrested. The second day, another two practitioners were taken away from their homes, which were ransacked.
17. [Puning City, Guangdong Province] Four Practitioners, Including Ms. Li Minyu, Ms. Wu Chunmei and Others, Detained
18. [Linshou County, Hebei Province] A Practitioner from Ciyu Town Threatened and Her Home Ransacked
At West Wuhe Village, Ciyu Town, Linshou County, Hebei Province, a practitioner's daughter went to Zhaitou High School in the Town. After realizing the importance of quitting Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations, she tried to persuade other people to quit. Because of this, she was reported by the vice principal of this high school and was arrested by four people, including the vice mayor and vice secretary of Ciyu Town government. They also ransacked her home and seized Falun Gong books and exercise tapes. She was released after the police extorted 1100 yuan from her.
