In Benxi Forced Labor Camp in Benxi City, Liaoning Province, Mr. Liang Runcheng, a practitioner from Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province, was severely tortured for more than 20 days. Mr. Liu Chengguo started a hunger strike from the day of his arrest and now has been without food for 41 days. He is very weak.

Mr. Liang, 38, a college graduate, works at the Fengcheng City Water Resource Bureau. Mr. Liang used to work as a teacher in the Fengcheng Professional School. Later, he passed the government employee exam and became an employee of the Fengcheng City People's Court. After the persecution of Falun Gong started in July 1999, Mr. Liang was transferred to the Water Resource Bureau since he persisted in his belief of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. He was a kind person in his workplace and in society. He worked diligently and never complained. All his coworkers knew that he practiced Falun Gong. The police frequently came to his place of work to harass him, but he was still honored as a "model worker" every year.

On January 3, 2006, when Mr. Liang distributed Falun Gong truth clarification material in Kuandian County, he was beaten up by four policemen from the Kuandian Police Bureau and lost consciousness. Later, he was detained in Kuandain Police Bureau. The police beat him with a baton and forced him to sit on the cement floor with both handcuffs and shackles. During his detention, he went on a hunger strike to protest. The police did not tell his family about this and did not allow his family to visit him, either.

Mr. Liang was sentenced to two years of forced labor and is currently being persecuted in Benxi City Labor Camp.

On March 13, 2006, while practitioner Mr. Liu Chengguo was practicing the Falun Gong exercises at him home with his wife and six other local practitioners, the police came and arrested him and several other practitioners. That same day, local policemen Yu Hongxi punched Mr. Liu's face and head more than 50 times. To protest the inhumane treatment, he started a hunger strike, which has lasted for 41 days. Mr. Liu is very weak. He is "skin and bones" in appearance when he used to be a strong man of over 160 pounds.

Mr. Liu was sentenced to two years of forced labor after being detained in the Fengcheng City Detention for over 33 days. The officials of Fengcheng Detention Center were afraid that Mr. Liu's life was in danger and quickly transferred him to Benxi City Forced Labor Camp. The seven other practitioners were sentenced to between half a year and a year of forced labor.

Mr. Liang Runcheng and Mr. Liu Chengguo have suffered severe persecution and their lives are in danger. We call for help from overseas practitioners to rescue and stop the persecution.

Police at Daqing Detention Center use various methods to persecute determined Falun Gong practitioners. Some of them die as a result. Ms. Yang Yuhua is one of them.

Ms. Yang Yuhua started a hunger strike to protest the persecution after she was detained there. She shouted "Falun Dafa is good" every day. Police are very afraid of that. They used many methods to torture her, including torture chairs, force-feeding, cursing and beating. During the force-feeding, the prison doctor, Qi Hong hit her face and put the force-feeding tube through her nose several times to torture her. She endured great pain. She bit and broke seven feeding tubes that were inserted into her stomach. The director of the detention center threatened to use a metal feeding tube to force feed her. However, she died before that happened. She was tied up on a torture chair day and night during the force-feeding period.

During the last force-feeding, she was very weak and had no strength to resist. Her voice was usually very loud when she shouted, "Falun Dafa is good." That day only a subdued voice could be heard. It still took police and four or five inmates the entire morning to force-feed her. When she was taken back to the prison cell, her life was in danger. Her eyes did not close, and people in the same prison cell called for help right away. She had already passed away when the police arrived. When the prosecutor came to investigate, the police lied by saying that she died in the hospital. Actually, she was never in a hospital. She died as a result of the brutal force-feeding.

There is a special room for interrogations at the detention center, which is solely used to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioner Shi Jing was forced to sit on the torture chair for seven days without any food or water. She could not sit down after she was taken off the torture chair. She was sent to a labor camp for further persecution. It was very cold that day, and since she could not sit any longer, she had to lie on the floor of the vehicles. There was nothing to cover her. With her there were also several other practitioners. With their righteous thoughts and actions however, these practitioners were sent back the same day. Several days later they were released.

Qingdao City Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Ou Yunjie is imprisoned in Dashan Detention Center of Qingdao City. Her life is in danger due to persecution.

Ms. Ou Yunjie has been "illegally imprisoned" in Dashan Detention Center of Qingdao City since the police arrested her in September 2005. On January 25, 2006, officials from the South District Court in Qingdao City opened a secret court session in a small room inside Dashan Detention Center, where they attempted to do harm to Ms. Ou and her mother, Liu Zhirong. Ms. Ou's father, Ou Zhaolin, entered a plea of "innocent' for his family members. Afterwards the South District Court of Qingdao City clearly violated legal procedure, which states that the court has only one and half months to pronounce judgment on a lawsuit. They neither came to a decision in the case nor did they release the people involved. It has now been nearly eight months since they imprisoned Ou Yunjie beyond her original term in the detention center.

Recently it has been learned that Ms. Ou has been physically brutalized and is coughing up blood continuously. She cannot get out of bed and her life is in danger. The detention center is actively covering up the facts.

Daqing City Falun Gong practitioner Ms. He Lihua has suffered persecution since she was arrested and held at the Women's Prison in Harbin City, Helongjiang Province. She is in critical condition, extremely weak, and has been sent to the hospital.

Ms. He Lihua has been arrested repeatedly the past few years. She was sent to Daqing City Detention Center and Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Center several times. In both places she suffered extremely cruel treatment. About three or four years ago, when she was imprisoned, her little daughter missed her very much. Her daughter drew a picture of a child with big eyes that were filled with scarlet tears. The neighbors who saw the picture all felt very sad and urged their family members to find a way to help He Lihua come home.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhou Feiyan from Changsha City worked at the Inspection Section of the West Changsha Bus Station. She has benefited physically and mentally from Falun Gong after she started to practice in 1997. She disciplined her words and actions according to Truth, Compassion, Tolerance. She was awarded the title "Advanced Worker" every year.

In January 2001 Ms. Zhou was arrested and detained for persisting in her belief. She held a hunger strike for seven days and was then unconditionally released.

In 2004 she was held at the Laodaohe Brainwashing Center in Changsha City for three months during which time she went on a hunger strike for six days.

In November 2005 Ms. Zhou was again arrested, this time from her place of employment. Officials from the West Station Police Station and the Changsha City Police Department carried out the arrest. Her home was ransacked. One month later she again regained her freedom.

On March 6, 2006, during the Two Party Meetings, Ms. Zhou Feiyan was again taken away from work by officers from Changsha City Police Department.

Mr. Li Tiejun, 42, was a farmer in Kaoshan Town, Nongan County, Jilin Province. He used to suffer from various kinds of illnesses, but became healthy and strong enough to do farm work after he began practicing Falun Gong in 1996.

A group of people broke into a practitioner's home at 10:00 p.m. on May 31, 2004. They were led by Director Pan Hengxing and Deputy Director Li Shuxiang from Kaoshan Town Police Station, along with Yu Hongquan, the political security section chief of the Nongan County Police Department. They arrested 11 practitioners including Li Tiejun and his wife. An elderly practitioner passed out, but Yu Hongquan just cursed at that him, saying nobody would care if he died.

Li Tiejun was sentenced to one year of forced laborhis elderly mother, his ailing father who had had a stroke and a 16-year-old child at home. Since the family did not have money, the child had to drop out of school, which was a heavy blow to Li Tiejun.

While in detention, Li Tiejun was forced to wear the dirtiest labor camp uniform and eat bread that smelled like pesticide. Every day he was forced to sit on a bench in a fixed position for up to 14 hours. He was also often cursed. Later he was forced to do hard labor with designated people monitoring him all the time. He had to report to these monitors even if he only wanted to say something. Otherwise, he would be beaten or cursed.

Due to the torment, Li Tiejun was devastated both mentally and physically. He became extremely weak. The authorities were afraid of being held responsible should he die in the labor camp so they told his family to pick him up. After returning home, Li never recovered. He passed away on March 17, 2006.

Mr. Yu Guolu, 61, was an engineer working at the Baoding City Broadcasting Station in Hebei Province. On July 20, 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal against the persecution of Falun Gong. After he returned, he was detained by his company for over ten days. In February 2002, he was sent to the Fengzhuang Brainwashing Center where he was detained for a month, during which time he developed high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes. Only after these health problems developed did they release him. In November 2003, people from the Beishi District 610 Office, Hepingli Police Station and Xinhuacun residents' committee broke into his home and took him to the Nanma Brainwashing Center. While detained there, he was brutally tortured. He was once tied up for a week, and the staff pried open his mouth and force fed him with unknown drugs. As a result, his teeth were knocked out and his jaw broken. He wasn't allowed home until April 2004 when he was on the verge of death. During detention, the police forced his family to pay 1,500 yuan every month for his meals. He was given only some rotten vegetable soup and a small bun for each meal. After he returned home, the residents' committee and the police still kept harassing him. His company also came to harass him. As a result, he suffered under huge pressure and lived his life in fear. In November 2005, the local police station, along with Liu Guiran and Xu Jinghui from the residents' committee, once again broke into his home to harass him, causing him to come close to mental collapse. Since March 2002, his company has been withholding 500 yuan from his monthly salary and suspended his job. Due to the long-term persecution, he became very weak. On January 19, 2006, he suddenly passed away.

Ms. Zhou Limei, 49, was a villager from Chaoyang Village, Wulubutie Town, Hulunbeier, Inner Mongolia. She started practicing Falun Gong in 1997. She went to Beijing to appeal against the persecution shortly after it began in 1999. After being arrested, she was sent back and detained for over forty days. In July 2000, she went to Beijing again, and was arrested and sent back a second time. She was then sentenced to three years of forced "re-education" through labor. In spring 2003, she was released. However, in the fall of that year, she was illegally arrested and sent to a brainwashing class. Under pressure, she wrote a "guarantee letter" against her will. She was devastated, and felt that she had let down Teacher's compassionate salvation. For a long period of time, she could not forgive herself for what she did. The local authorities often went to harass her, causing great damage to her mind and body. In February 2006 she felt uncomfortable and then passed away.

Ms. Qi Guanying, 73, was from Binzhou City, Shandong Province. After taking up the practice of Falun Gong in 1996, she experienced dramatic changes to her body and mind. In 2001, she was arrested together with her husband for telling people the facts about the persecution. She was then thrown into a brainwashing center to be persecuted. In 2005, her daughter Sun Dongxia was arrested and sentenced to five years for practicing Falun Gong, which caused great damage to her mind and body. She passed away on January 25, 2006.

1. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Baoding Court Attempting to illegally Try Falun Gong Practitioners

In the morning of May 11, 2006, Xinshi District Court in Baoding City, Hebei Province convened to hold a second illegal trial against Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Zhi Zhanmin, Mr. Zhang Rongjie, Mr. Liu Yongwang, and Mr. Wei Haiwu, on the fourth floor of Xinshi District Court. Right now, Zhang Rongjie and Liu Yongwang are in poor health.

2. [Jilin Province] Deceased Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Wang Jianguo's Family Continues to Appeal to Jilin City Government

After Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Jianguo was tortured to death in the 1st Detention Center in Jilin City the morning of May 8, his family went back to the Jilin City government and appealed for justice for him. After Mr. Wang died, his family set up a shrine in his memory. Around 5:00 a.m. on April 30, the head of the Changyi Police Department in Jilin City led about 50 police officers in 13 vehicles to Yang Jianguo's home at Group 4 of Hongyuan Village, the Hongyuan Economic Development Zone in the Changyi District, Jilin City. The police set up barricades up and down the street in front of Wang Jianguo's home. They broke inside the home and took down the shrine when no one was home. They took everything, except Wang Jianguo's picture.

On April 30, four members of Wang Jianguo's family went to Jilin City government and Jilin City People's Congress. Agents from both of these government agencies shirked responsibility and didn't give any explanation for Wang Jianguo's death.

On May 8, Wang Jianguo's family again went to the Jilin City government and demanded justice. They asked for the persecutors and abusers on various levels responsible for Wang Jianguo's abuse to be brought to justice.

3. [Shandong Province] Laizhou Police Arrest Falun Gong Practitioners Before World Falun Dafa Day

On May 5 and May 6, 2006, Laizhou 610 Office agents and police officers from county and town police departments went to Falun Gong practitioners' homes. They followed the practitioners, waited outside the practitioners' homes, and used deception in order to illegally arrest them. They sponsored a brainwashing class in Dianzi Village, Wenchang Street Office in Laizhou City. The officials nabbed Falun Gong practitioners and sent them to the brainwashing class. The following four Falun Gong practitioners have been unlawfully arrested: Mr. Pan Yujun, Ms. Lu Meifang, Ms. Sun Shouyu and Mr. Wu Xueyu.

4. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Liu Yuying Sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

On March 28, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Yuying from Yingkou City, Liaoning Province was arrested and illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor. She was sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province.

5. [Heilongjiang Province] More than 20 Falun Gong Practitioners Secretly Transferred out of the Harbin Women's Prison

In April, more than 20 Falun Gong practitioners were secretly transferred out of the Harbin Women's Prison. No one has heard from them, and their families have not been notified.

6. [Fuyu County, Jilin Province] Mu Guiling Arrested and Sent to the Heizuizi Women's Labor Camp in Changchun City

On April 17, 2006, police arrested Ms. Mu Guiling from Caijiagou Town, Fuyu County, Jilin Province and sent her to the Heizuizi Women's Labor Camp in Changchun City.

7. [Jinchang, Gansu Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Lei Zhanxiang Illegally Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lei Zhanxiang was sentenced to seven years in prison at Yongchang County Court in Jinchang City, Gansu Province. She has been sent to the Gansu Province Women's Prison in Lanzhou City.

8. [Beijing] Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Zhang Quanhai Disappeared around April 25

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Quanhai from Xiji Township, the Tongzhou District in Beijing, suddenly disappeared around April 25, 2006. His current whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Hebei Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Jiao Meishan Still being Held in the 2nd Detention Center in Shijiazhuang City

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Jiao Meishan was arrested on March 3, 2006 and has been held in the 2nd Detention Center in Shijiazhuang City. She has been transferred to the Xinhua District Procuratorate. Police officer Luo Wanqun is in charge of this case: 86-311-87874164 ext. 9013 / 9012

10. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Zhang Zhihua Still Detained

On March 7, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Zhihua from Luancheng, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province was arrested when visiting her family in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. She is still being illegally detained. Because her family was deceived by the Chinese Communist Party's lies, they never understood Zhang Zhihua's belief in Falun Gong, especially her husband Nie Ergang, who has deep misunderstandings of Falun Gong.

11. [Chongqing] Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Xiang Youwei Illegally Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Xiang Youwei, a student at Chongqing Three Gorges University in the Wanzhou District, Chongqing City was pursued by Wanzhou District National Security Group agents in July 2004. Xiang Youwei opted to go into exile to avoid arrest.

In the afternoon of September 28, 2005, Xiang Youwei was arrested at a rented home in the Yubei District, Chongqing City. He was detained, tortured and interrogated for seven days and six nights and was held in the Yubei Detention Center on October 5, 2005. On December 22, 2005, the Yubei District Court secretly tried him for two hours and then announced a recess. In the afternoon of March 23, 2006, Xiang Youwei received a verdict from the Yubei District Court, announcing a four-year prison term. Mr. Xiang immediately appealed the verdict.

12. [Zhangqiu, Shandong Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Liu Liyuan Arrested from Home

On May 4, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Liu Liyuan from Zhangqiu was arrested from home. His current whereabouts are unknown.

13. [Wendeng, Shandong Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Liu Changjun Secretly Sent to a Labor Camp

Mr. Liu Changjun was a worker at the Wendeng City Electric Machine Factory who lived in Yangjia Village in Houjia Town. In July 2004 someone reported him, and Wendeng City "610 Office" agents arrested him. Mr. Liu escaped and lived away from home to avoid being arrested again. His home and his parents' home were ransacked.

On February 23, 2006, Liu Changjun was again reported and was arrested by Wendeng National Security Group officials. He was sentenced to two years of forced labor and was persecuted at the Wangcun Labor Camp. This information was not exposed until now, due to the information blockade by the police.

14. [Laizhou, Shandong Province] Five Falun Gong Practitioners Including Song Zhaozhou Arrested

On May 8, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Song Zhaozhou, Mr. Chi Wanfu, Ms. Wu, Ms. Liu and another older woman Falun Gong practitioner went to the marketplace at Dianzi Village, Wenchang Street Office, Laizhou. When they passed the Dianzi Brainwashing Class, nearly 20 police officers suddenly came out of nowhere and arrested all five practitioners, who were riding on a tricycle, and sent them to a brainwashing class. They even took the tricycle and subsequently ransacked the practitioners' homes. The officers sent Song Zhaozhou and Chi Wanfu to the Laizhou Detention Center. The two women practitioners Ms. Wu and Ms. Liu were held at the Dianzi Brainwashing Class, and the older woman practitioner whose name is unknown broke free later the same day.

15. [Chongqing] Falun Gong Practitioner Zhao Rongjun Arrested

On May 6, Falun Gong practitioner Zhao Rongjun from the No. 4 Small Nanping District was arrested in Shapingba when clarifying the truth.

16. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Four Falun Gong Practitioners Including Mei Yuhui Returned Home

On May 5, four Falun Gong practitioners, Ms. Mei Yuhui, Ms. Liu Tianzhen, Ms. He Xianzhen and a practitioner surnamed Zeng, who were arrested by officers from Madao Railroad Police Department in Xichang City, returned home with the rescue efforts of all Falun Gong practitioners in the area.

Falun Gong practitioner Li Bangsheng was arrested and held at Madao Detention Center in March 2006.

17. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Four Falun Gong Practitioners Including Xiong Hanlian Arrested

On March 24, 2006, police arrested four Falun Gong practitioners including Ms. Xiong Hanlian from Yangyuan, the Wuchang District, Wuhan City while distributing truth clarification materials in Yangyuan, the Wuchang District.

Right now, Ms. Zhang Chunmei and another practitioner surnamed Zhang were arrested and sent to the Yujiatou Brainwashing Class. Zhang Chunmei lives in Xian City; officials from her work unit came to pick her up. Police officer Lu Shanhai who is in charge of persecution against Falun Gong demanded 6,500 yuan from her family.

Two other Falun Gong practitioners, Xong Hanlian and Zhang Qiong, are being held in the 1st Detention Center. The details of their persecution are unknown.

18. [Xinjin County, Sichuan Province] Elderly Falun Gong Practitioner Li Guangyan Arrested Twice Within One Month

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Guangyan, 69 years old, is a retired employee from the Xinjin County Grain Supply Center. Because she persisted in her belief in Falun Gong, in the past few years she continuously clarified the truth and distributed truth clarification materials. The Xinjin police detained her many times and sent her to labor camp(s); they ransacked her home and withheld her pension. The police even took her life savings of 9,000 yuan during the ransacking of her home and have never returned it.

In April 2006, Li Guangyan was twice arrested and detained. In mid-April 2006, officers from the Wujin Police Department in Xinjin arrested Li Guangyan without any evidence of a crime and without following any due legal procedure. They held her at the police department for 16 hours. They also ransacked her home and took Falun Gong materials. They later released her. On April 30, Xinjin police again took Li Guangyan from her home and have detained the practitioner since.

19. [Fuyang, Zhejiang Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Sun Xianglian Arrested

On April 30, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Sun Xianglian from Fuyang was arrested and her home was ransacked. Her daughter and husband were frightened and they left home to avoid arrest.

20. [Jiutai, Jilin Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Jiang Xiuyu, a Farmer, Arrested When Working in the Fields

On April 26, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Jiang Xiuyu, a farmer, was arrested when working in the fields.

21. [Guangan, Sichuan Province] Three Falun Gong Practitioners Including Chen Tianxiao Arrested

On April 25, officers from the National Security Group in Wusheng County, the Guangan Area arrested three Falun Gong practitioners including Chen Tianxiao and Duan Hua from the Wuzhong School. They were reported when clarifying the truth and distributing truth clarification materials. The practitioners are now being held and persecuted at the Wusheng County Detention Center.

22. [Zhuhai, Guangdong Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Lu Jianwen Held at the Guangdong Province Women's Prison

On April 20, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lu Jianwen from the Doumen District, Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province was sent to the Guangdong Province Women's Prison. Her family didn't know anything about it.

On February 21, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Zeng Qing was followed by plainclothes police officers and arrested. Zeng Qing didn't carry any Falun Gong materials with him at the time, but the police still searched him and have held him until now.

23. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Hu Yanhua Arrested

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Hu Yanhua, an employee from the No. 2 Print and Dye Factory in Wuhan City, was arrested. Her whereabouts are unknown.

24. [Benxi, Liaoning Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Lin Xiuqin Held beyond Term at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lin Xiuqin from Nanfen, Benxi City practiced Falun Gong with determination. She was held in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp beyond term and tortured until she was emaciated.

25. [Jilin Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Mu Guiling Held in Heizuizi Women's Labor Camp in Changchun

The police arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Mu Guiling on April 17, 2006. She is now held in the 2nd Group 2 of  Heizuizi Women's Labor Camp in Changchun City. The guards refused to let her family meet with her on May 9, 2006. They are probably torturing her.

26. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Niu Xibao Arrested

On May 6, 2006, officers from the Chengqu Police Department and the Licang Police Department arrested Falun Gong practitioner Niu Xibao from the Licang District, Qingdao City. His home was ransacked and he is now held in the 1st Detention Center in Qingdao City.

27. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Liu Yunbiao Arrested

Around April 20, the police arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Yunbiao, around 50 years of age, from Xinji City.

28. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Three Falun Gong Practitioners Including Liu Jiting Arrested

Officers from the Hongqi Police Department, the Qiaoxi District Police Department, recently arrested three Falun Gong practitioners. Two of them have returned home. Practitioner Liu Jiting is still held in the 2nd Detention Center in Shijiazhuang City.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wu Shihai, from Zhaojue County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, is currently detained in Deyang Prison. He was tortured until his life was in danger and he could no longer take care of himself. His parents are requesting to visit him and take him home.

2. [Xinxiang City, Henan Province] Officials Plan to Cremate Ms. Zhao Tingyun's Body

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhao Tingyun from Xinxiang City, Henan Province was tortured to death on January 15, 2006 while under police custody. Although the autopsy revealed severe injuries, the police would not explain the causes. We heard that the police are planning to have a second autopsy, then cremate her body.

3. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Jiao Shouting and Others Tortured at Fenjin Labor Camp

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Jiao Shouting from Yushu City was arrested in January 2006, and is currently detained at Fenjin Labor Camp in Changchun City, Jilin Province. Practitioner Mr. He Bo (from Jilin Agricultural University) is also currently detained in Fenjin Labor Camp, and practitioner Mr. Zhang Jieshan has been transferred from Chaoyanggou Labor Camp to Fenjin Labor Camp.

4. [Zhejiang Province] Jinhua City Court Plans to Put Ms. Tang Baozhi and Others on Trial

We heard that on May 16, 2006, the Wucheng District Court in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province plans to put Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Tang Baozhi, Ms. Chen Yao, and Ms. Ai Ju on trial.

Ms. Tang Baozhi is the mother of Ms. Chen Yao; each of them was arrested at their homes in Jinhua City and Shanghai City at the end of October 2005. They have been detained in the Jinhua City Detention Center since that time.

5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Follow-up Report on Ms. Ma Xueqing's Arrest

Ever since Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Ma Xueqing was arrested on July 28, 2005, she has been detained in Yaojia Detention Center, located in Dalian City. After the three-month time limit expired, the Zhongshan District Court sentenced Ms. Ma Xueqing to three years in prison without any legal cause. Ms. Ma is appealing her unfair sentencing.

6. [Shandong Province] Mr. Huang Min Sentenced to 18 Years in Prison

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Huang Min, in his 60s, is a teacher employed by a university in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province. He went to Beijing to appeal and was arrested, but escaped later. When he escaped, Li Lanqing (male, involved in persecution) and Luo Gan (male, one of the main culprits behind the persecution) personally chased after him. He was arrested again, and sentenced to 18 years in prison, and is currently detained in Shandong Province First Prison. He was carrying 46,000 yuan when arrested, which the police took from him though they deny it.

7. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Wang Ping and Others Sent to a Brainwashing Class

On May 8, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners Wang Ping (gender unknown) and Leng (first name unknown, gender unknown) went to the market located in Dianzi Village, Wenchang Neighborhood, Laizhou City. On their way home, they were both stopped and taken to the Dianzi Village Brainwashing Class. Their homes were both ransacked. The police took Wang Ping's notebook computer and a printer, etc. The police took thirty thousand yuan in cash, a copy machine and a computer, etc. from Leng's home.

On May 6, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Sun Shouyun was taken away and her home was ransacked. Police took her computer and two printers.

8. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Jiting Arrested

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Jiting was arrested at the beginning of March 2006, for clarifying the truth. He has been detained in the Shijiazhuang City Second Detention Center ever since. We heard that the police are trying to put him on trial, and sentence him to a lengthy term.

9. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Bangyun Arrested and Detained

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Bangyun from Aishanqian Village, Anti Town, Yinan County was arrested while clarifying the truth on April 16, 2006. He is currently detained in the Yinan County Detention Center.

10. [Ziyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Cai Huaying and Ms. Zhao Yuxia Detained

Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Cai Huaying and Ms. Zhao Yuxia are retired employees of Ziyang City 431 Factory. On April 20, 2006, they were both arrested by policemen from the Jianyang City and Ziyang City Departments whie passing out truth-clarifying materials in Dayan Village, Linjiang Town, Yanjiang District, Ziyang City. They have been detained separately in the Ziyang and Jainyang City Detention Centers ever since.

11. [Beijing City] Four Practitioners Arrested

At the end of April 2006, Falun Gong practitioners Zhang Xiaoping and others (four altogether) from Chengzi Area, Mentougou District, Beijing were arrested and their homes were ransacked. No one knows where they are detained.

12. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Many Arrested When Former Dictator Jiang Went to Qingdao City

Around 9:00 p.m., on May 5, 2006, directed by the Pingdu City 610 Office, CCP officials from the Guxian Town Political Judiciary Committee and policemen of Guxian Town Station arrested and harassed Falun Gong practitioners in Guxian Town. The arrested practitioners Ms. L Xiuyun from Zhaizi Village, and Mr. Jiang Xiquan and Mr. Jiang Yongqin from Jianggezhuang Village. They were forcibly held in a brainwashing class. The harassed practitioners include Mr. Dai Peiming from Zhumao Village, Mr. Guo Xuanfu, Mr Guo Xuanhe, and Mr. Zhong Youqing from Zhaizi Village, Mr. Liu Zhenhong, Ms. Wu Fengying, and Ms. Chen Junying from Houlongquan Village, etc.

14. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Brutal Persecution Facts about Wangcun Labor Camp

Falun Gong practitioners detained at Wangcun Labor Camp have been subjected to cruel torture since July 20, 1999. They do not have any personal freedom and are tortured inhumanely. They have to do heavy labor from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., 16 hours per day, and eat moldy food. They are not allowed to talk, have to sleep with the lights on and the doors open, and they do not even have the freedom to use the toilets. Whoever refuses to cooperate will be inhumanely tortured.

15. [Yunfu City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Ruan Guihuan and Ms. Ou Suhong Sentenced to Prison

On February 16, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Ruan Guihuan and Ms. Ou Suong were each sentenced to three years in prison by the Yuncheng District Court. Many policemen, National Security Agents, and plain-clothes officers were guarding the inside and outside of the court hall. They used video cameras, cameras, and walkie-talkies to closely monitor the whole area. They were not allowing Falun Gong practitioners' friends or families to sit in on the trial. Later, after their families protested ardently, they were allowed to sit in.

Ms. Ruan Guihuan did not agree with the court's sentencing, and appealed to the Middle Court, but the sentence remained the same.

16. [Yunfu City, Guangdong Province] Additional Information on Mr. Deng Jinrui, Detained in Sanshui Brainwashing Class

On the morning of March 30, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Deng Jinrui's employer turned him into the police and the 610 Office, who then forcibly took him to the Sanshui Brainwashing Class.

17. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wei Qiang Detained

On May 2, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wei Qiang from Lushunkou District, Dalian City was reported by Cong Ping while passing out truth-clarifying materials in Yanchangxincun Neighborhood, located in Longwangtang Town. He was arrested after being blocked by security guard Han Jixiang (male), and others. He is now on hunger strike while being detained in the Lushunkou District Detention Center.

Mr. Wei Qiang was sent to do forced labor twice in Dalian Labor Camp between 2001 and 2003. He was bailed out twice on medical parole after being tortured to near death. He has not fully recovered from previous tortures suffered at the forced labor camp.

18. [Xinjiang Uhgur Autonomous Region] Persecution Facts about Kashi Hongguang Farm

Since Jiang and his regime began persecuting Falun Gong in 1999, Falun Gong practitioners in Hongguang Farm, located in Maigaiti County, Kashi Prefecture, have been inhumanely tortured. Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Guo Jinhua, 38, was dismissed from her job as a Hongguang Farm School teacher, her salary was withheld, and she was forced to leave home for five years to avoid being arrested. During these five years, her child has been lacking her care, and the situation has severely damaged her family's mental and physical health. Mr. Ma Jixu (in his 50s) and Mr. Ma Hailong (in his 30s, both are Farm employees) were tortured until they were unable to lead normal lives. They have each been sentenced to prison; Mr. Ma Jixu for three years, and Mr. Ma Hailong for five years.
