On May 30, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners from Australia held a rally in front of Congress Hall in Canberra to call for Australian MPs' attention to the CCP's (Chinese Communist Party) atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners hope that the MPs will support and participate in the investigation committee's work in order to stop this inhuman crime. Australian MP Chris Bowen attended the rally and gave a speech.
Australian MP Chris Bowen calls for an investigation of the CCP's atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.
Mr. Bowen said that the Australian government should put more pressure on the CCP and ask it to answer inquiries about its human rights violations.
In his speech, Mr. Bowen said that recently, people heard horrible and shocking news from China, where Falun Gong practitioners are being persecuted and their organs are being harvested. Bowen said that it is necessary to launch an independent investigation of the CCP's atrocities.
Mr. Bowen commended the Falun Gong practitioners for their courage to expose the persecution and their persistent efforts to uphold their belief. He said that he was willing to give Falun Gong practitioners support and help, and it was his honor to do so. He said that Falun Gong practitioners should have the right to practice their belief anywhere in the world, and called for more investigations into the persecution.
Mr. Bowen said that he knows that a former MP from Canada is investigating this issue and he is waiting for the results. He said that the investigation could help Falun Gong practitioners in China to obtain more freedom and rights.
Mr. Bowen pointed out that Falun Gong practitioners follow the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and thus he doesn't understand how anyone could be against such a belief. He said that the efforts to promote this belief are worthwhile and that violating the rights of civilians such as practitioners and individuals like himself is violating the rights of all people.
Finally, Mr. Bowen said that he would try hard to improve the human
rights
situation in China, and that he was honored to stand together with
Falun Gong
practitioners. He said that he had attended the practitioners' rally
before and
would attend more in the future. However, he knows that one day he
won't have to
come because on that day, Falun Gong practitioners would have already
been given
freedom of belief all over the world.

Practicing the exercises and sending forth righteous thoughts in front of the Palace and State Theater
In front of the Palace and State Theater, the practitioners demonstrated the exercises and performed a reenactment of torture and live organ removal to clarify the truth.
People sign the petition to stop the CCP's atrocities
In March of this year, live organ removals in the CCP's secret concentration camp in Sujiatun were exposed. A veteran medical doctor in Shenyang pointed out that there are 36 similar concentration camps across the country. Some witness said that the organ removal started in 2000 and reached its peak in 2001 and 2003. These crimes continue in China's prisons and labor camps. After the exposure, CCP hastened to eliminate evidence and witnesses.
People were shocked after learning the facts. They signed the petition to condemn the CCP's atrocities. The people signing the petition included ones from Germany, South Korea, Taiwan, Afghanistan, Austria and Romania. An older couple from Taiwan signed their names and said to a practitioner, "You have worked hard." Two young people from Romania said to a practitioner, "You don't need to explain more. We know very well what the Communist Party is capable of." A young man from South Korea said after reading the truth-clarification materials, "Too inconceivable. Too horrible." Mr. Barler from Berlin told a reporter, " I oppose the CCP's barbarity. How can human beings tolerate such atrocities of live organ removal?"
Ms. Dohmen, a nurse from Germany, said, "I have been a nurse for my
whole life. We also conducted organ transplantation, but the organs
were
harvested from dead people and required approval beforehand. I think
that
everyone visiting China, especially people like Prime Minister Ms.
Merkel,
should stand up to speak to the Chinese government about this."
