Around May 14, 2006, seven to eight State Security Agents from Helong City Police Department in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province arrested Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Jin Yingshi and ransacked her home, taking away her Falun Gong books and truth clarifying materials. In order to protest the persecution, Ms. Jin Yingshi went on a hunger strike for seven days, and doctors have now found liver and severe brain problems.
Ms. Jin Yingshi, 59, of Korean descent, had been sent to a forced labor camp in 2002. She used to be very sick before the practice, and could not even hold a bowl of water. She fully recovered after the practice, and could do chores in her home and was very energetic.
Since Ms. Jin Yingshi was arrested, her 80 year old mother and her husband who had a stroke are left to fend for themselves in her home. Her mother has to take care of her husband, and every day she goes to the Police Department to request to have her daughter released. Once Officer Cui (gender unknown) took her in the office and had several officers verbally abuse her, and slander Ms. Jin Yingshi.
Three years ago, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Song Yonghua was detained in Helong City Detention Center, and was sentenced to ten years in prison. She went on a hunger strike to protest, but developed many illnesses. Her family requested medical parole but was refused, and Ms. Song Yonghua was tortured to death in the Detention Center.
Falun Gong practitioner Wang Jianhui is the host of a morning news program on the Economics and Life Channel of Tangshan People's Broadcasting Station. He has been recognized as a "First Class Broadcaster," yet for telling people about the beauty of "Truth, Compassion, and Forbearance" of Falun Gong, has suffered numerous tribulations. To this day, he is still being held in illegal detention.
In 1998, Wang Jianhui started practicing Falun Gong. He has been holding himself to the standards of "Truth, Compassion, and Forbearance" ever since. Through practicing Falun Gong, his chronic illnesses were healed, and he got rid of his ill temper, becoming an easygoing person, which harmonized his family life.
When the persecution of Falun Gong started, Wang went to Beijing to appeal to the government, and he was abducted to Tangshan City No.1 Detention Center for one year of illegal detention. At the end of 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal to the government, after he came back, he ended up being detained at his workplace. Later he was detained in the No.4 cell in No.2 Detention Center in Tangshan City, where he continued studying the Fa and doing the exercises, along with other practitioners resisting the persecution. Later he was transferred to No.12 cell, where he went on hunger strike for 29 consecutive days. He was force-fed many times.
Wang was detained for several months after his sentence was up. Between July and August 2001, Sun Shiji, the President of Tangshan City Broadcasting Bureau (who is also the current President of the Culture Bureau) joined up with the 610 Office, and transferred him to the notorious Tangshan City Hehuakeng Forced Labor Camp for detention and further persecution. It was at that time, during the peak of persecution, that authorities set up a special place where many instruments of torture and other violent means were used to brainwash practitioners. Many other biased and evil theories were used to try and force Falun Gong practitioners to give up the practice. As a result, many Falun Gong practitioners were shocked with electric batons, tied up with the "Killer Rope" (1) technique, beaten while being hung up, beaten by groups of people, and deprived of sleep. Wang was taken to the boiler room and beaten by a group of people. He was tied up with the "Killer Rope" technique. Usually the four limbs are tied so tightly with a rope that it cuts into the flesh and after only five minutes the victims' limbs are injured. It took almost a whole year for the marks left on Wang shoulders to disappear.
Wang also suffered from being shocked with electric batons, was deprived of sleep and suffered other tortures. Later he was transferred from the No.1 Class of No.6 Team and No.3 Team. At that time, there were six teams in Hehuakeng Forced Labor Camp, of which No.6 Team was responsible for a special class that every practitioner had to go through. At that time, the team leader of No.6 Team was Li Weiping. The political instructor was Gang Yongjing (this police officer was transferred to another workplace to continue being in charge of persecuting Falun Gong). There was also police officer Wang Yulin; later Wang Ying, and Li Xiaozhong were also transferred to No.6 team. All these police officers have committed huge sins in their persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. At No.3 team, there were mainly practitioners there who got out of the special class. They were forced into hard labor and were continuously forced to express their thoughts and listen to material and watch videotapes defaming Falun Gong. In the summer of 2002, Wang went on a hunger strike to resist the persecution. Wardens sent him to No.6 team and punished him with the "Stretching Bed." The "Stretching Bed" is a torture instrument in which a person is tied spread-eagle to a bed. This is a cruel punishment, the person who suffers from it not allowed to get off the bed to use the bathroom. Not being able to move ones body for long periods of time causes great unendurable pain even if one were not on a hunger strike.
At the end of 2002, when his illegal sentence was up, his company took Wang back, but he wasn't allowed to go home. People from Tangshan Broadcasting Bureau intended to send him to the brainwashing center to continue being persecuted. Later they decided to illegally detain him at Tangshan Broadcasting TV Tower (Located at Dachengshan), and have someone watch him for a year. In order to try to force him to give up Falun Gong, the management in his workplace put a lot of pressure on him from every aspect. They even tried to destroy his marriage. In his wife's workplace, a secretary of the Party attempted to force her to divorce him. He even implied that if she agreed, she would be promoted. He shamelessly made remarks referring to her remarrying after a divorce. In addition, CCP officers deprived his brother-in-law of the opportunity to be admitted into the army.
In October 2003, people from Wang's company abducted him to the brainwashing center again (located at Tangshan City Textile University). Back then, the President of the Broadcasting Bureau was Li Qingshan, and the Vice-President was Xiong Guoxiang. In order to resist the persecution, he went on hunger strike. A few days later, Wang's family received notification saying that he had been sent to a brainwashing center in Shijiazhang. Police officers from the brainwashing center warned him saying, "If you don't say that you will stop practicing, I will give you a few injections, causing you to develop mental problems, and I will say that it is the result of your practicing Falun Gong. If that doesn't work, I will send you to a place where nobody, not even you, will know where you are!"
In early 2004, after Wang came back, it was arranged he should work in the office of the Economics and Life Channel of Tangshan People's Broadcasting Station, however no longer as a reporter.
On the evening of March 14, 2006, when Wang was handing out truth-clarification materials, he was abducted by people from Hebei Technology Institute, and was illegally detained at his workplace. On the afternoon of March 15, he was transferred to Tangshan City Lubei Police Bureau, where he was detained for one month. It was known that a police officer from Jianshelu Police Station in Lubei District of Tangshan City participated in this crime.
On April 13, 2006, Li Qingshan who is the President of Tangshan City Broadcasting Bureau, and Zhu Defa who is the Vice-President, ganged up with Chen Hong, who is the team leader of the National Security Team in Bei District of Tangshan Road, and sentenced Wang to the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp without notifying his family. Wang Jianhui is still under illegal detention, and his situation is unknown.
Under such persecution, Wang still said to his family, "The persecution of Falun Gong has been initiated by only a few high level members of the CCP. Many participants are not aware of the truth at all; they just assist in the horror. It's so pitiful! They are also victims. I want them to know the truth as well, so that they won't be deceived any more, and will stop persecuting us. I am only thinking of what's best for them."
For people who have committed crimes, have you heard Wang's voice?
Did you
know that when a crime is too big it can't be forgiven, and heavenly
punishment
will be visited upon you? Another media person named Wang Hongbin (a
host from
Tangshan TV station), who for the past few years participated in
programs
defaming Falun Gong, fabricating hate propaganda, and praising the CCP,
died of
a stroke on January 15, 2006. I hope people who don't believe in
retribution
remember this lesson.
(1) Killer Rope: The rope is first looped around the neck, and both ends are then tucked underneath the victim's armpits. The rope is then wrapped around the arms several times, and then the two ends are brought together in the back and tied off. Finally the knot is lifted straight up, causing excruciating pain in the wrists, arms, shoulders and neck.

Ms. Liu Liping is a Falun Gong practitioner in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province. On September 7, 2005, she was arrested by the Xiangyang Police Station in Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province. They unlawfully detained and tortured her for more than eight months at the Hegang First Detention Center.
Xiangyang Police station had two teams persecuting Ms. Liu day and night. The first team included police officers Wang He, Liu. and team leader Chang. The second team included officers Sun Changxi, Xu, and Captain Gao.
The policemen whipped Ms. Liu's feet with bamboo sticks. Her feet were severely swollen. The policemen interrogated her constantly for five days and nights, not letting her sleep. She lost consciousness many times, beaten from head to toe violently.
Chief Yang and police officer Zhang Shengjun of the Xiangyang Police Station, spent 2,500 yuan of Ms. Liu's money for their own entertainment. She asked them to return the money many times, but they refused, giving absurd reasons. They took away her personal belongings, a handset pack, an MP3 player, and electronic books.
At Hegang First Detention Center, simply because Ms. Liu refused to be monitored, the police put handcuffs on her and cuffed her feet like a death penalty prisoner. In the cold of winter they forced her to sit on the cement floor for five days and nights. Ms. Liu told others about her suffering. All the listeners were terrified and broke into tears.
In the meantime, Xiangyang District Court of Hegang City is prepared to sentence Ms. Liu. The Xiangyang police arrested her defense lawyer while he was walking by the hotel in Hegang City on May 29. Her defense lawyer said, "I am doing my duty according to the laws and I have a lawyer's license." The policemen responded, "What are the laws? We don't care about those at all." The police arrested the lawyer without giving a reason, showing any identification, or providing a warrant.
It took over an hour of long, tough negotiation to get the lawyer released.
