I am writing to enlist the help of the CIPFG to search for my relative, Song Ping.

Ms. Song Ping was in her thirties and unmarried when she was "illegally imprisoned"; currently, she is 40 years old. Before the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20, 1999 she was once the director of the Falun Gong Assistance Center in Futian District, Shenzhen. In 1999, Falun Gong fell victim to the persecution initiated by Jiang's gang. In order to demand the restoration of Falun Gong's good name, practitioner Song Ping went to Tiananmen Square many times to hold banners and appeal for Falun Gong. She was detained by the police and unjustifiably sentenced to one and a half years in prison. She was released on April 25, 2001.

In June 2001, Song Ping was distributing printed materials about Falun Gong in Nanjing when government agents arrested her again and sentenced her to five years in prison. She was imprisoned in the women's prison in 63 Haodong road, Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. In the prison, she firmly held on to her belief in Falun Gong and resisted forced "transformation", for which she suffered severe persecution.

In 2001, agents from Nantong prison dispatched someone to Song Ping's home in an attempt to get her family to collaborate with the government and try to "reform" her, but her relatives did not cooperate. Song Ping's parents are already dead and she only has an older brother. Subsequently, the older brother's family mailed money and supplies to the address provided by the person from the prison, but received no response. They also called the telephone number provided and wrote letters but received no reply. The prison authorities told them that Song Ping must agree to be "reformed" or her family members would not be allowed to visit her or know her whereabouts. Some of Song Ping's friends from Shenzhen also tried everything to find out where she was being detained.

To this date, Song's older brother does not know where his sister is. Her family members have been extremely worried for five long years. They have become especially anxious after hearing the news about the atrocious organ harvesting from live Falun Gong practitioners. We hope that the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China will help us search for Falun Gong practitioner Song Ping.

 While being abused under the persecution at a forced labor camp hospital I upheld my belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."

The head of the labor camp once told me,

"I have a death quota here; thus it's quite normal for a few people to die here. No one can see what goes on in this forced labor camp! So, after your death, I could make prisoners give false testimony, saying that you committed suicide. It's very easy to do! As long as I reward them with a little bit of a favor, they will jump at it, like dogs. I could even choose a special day like your Master's birthday to do it. Afterwards, we could invite TV reporters to come, telling them how a young college student became fanatical and sacrificed his life for his Master, with the hope to go to heaven by committing suicide. There was someone in the past (the main character in the staged "Self Immolation Incident"), and now there is this guy. In the meantime, we will show how sad that makes us..."

The long-term force-feeding under this persecution was bad enough - after a while the long tube made a few circles and formed a knot in my stomach. The abusers usually left it in me ten days or more. It was not properly secured, causing abrasion while I was breathing. As a result I vomited a lot of blood. Sometimes, the tube was removed and re-inserted by prisoners who found pleasure in torturing practitioners. One of them said once, "While we were doing it, we felt as happy as if we were cleaning a sewage system..."

A camp doctor once said, "I could almost imagine how he might respond to electric shock in his mouth. I really wanted to stick the electronic baton into his mouth and shock him. What a pity that he could not take it now." (I was too weak at that time and the doctor was afraid to take the responsibility if I died.)

Some other camp medical staff told me, "We don't insert the stomach force-feeding tube because we want to extend your life. We just make it squirm a little bit when your digestive system shows severe atrophy and complete loss of function. What we really want is to make you feel hungry."

Many people participating in these abuses receive immediate retribution such as festers on the body, swollen and distorted faces, ulcerated organs, demotions or lowered salary, and more. Some even had horrible dreams all day long and requested to leave.

Because I resisted the persecution by refusing to do forced labor, recite prison regulations or wear a prisons uniform, the guards hit me with a wooden plank several centimeters thick.

To prevent me from calling out the truth of Falun Gong they soaked a dirty towel in filthy sewage and gagged me with it. Then they wrapped my whole head with packaging tape and inserted tubes into my nose. I was almost choked to death and had several near-death experiences. They also tortured me with the death bed and "death bench" for more than 40 days. The excessive tightening broke several pieces of cowhide straps/cuffs that were used to immobilize my body. Later they switched to a "soft cuff" made of thick canvas and hard synthetic plastic bands for packaging. They cinched those even tighter! Although no external injuries were visible, my whole body showed dark purple-color and edema.

I no longer had any physical sensations and my body's existence became a burden. In extreme circumstances, my body felt so light that it was like floating in the air. I regained physical sensations approximately one year later.

Having observed the actual situation, one of the medical staff told a guard privately, "Had I arrived one second later, this person would be totally disabled." They also deprived me of sleep and of access to the toilet, apart from humiliating me in various other ways.

The guards told the prisoners torturing me many times, "As long as he is alive, you are free to apply any cruel methods on him. If anything happens, we will take care of it, because this is an order from upper management."

After several months of a fierce battle between good and evil, many prisoners, police and medical staff learned the truth and became respectful toward Falun Gong. Many people who had participated in the persecution asked for forgiveness. Some guards even wanted to read the book and learn the exercises. The evil has exhausted all its methods. Once, after a thorough physical exam the labor camp head came to talk to me, "We plan to set you free and send you home. We are working on the issue and need your cooperation; for instance, after you are out, don't mention my name... We plan to send you to a secret and completely isolated place outside the forced labor camp. No one knows about the place except you, as it has no relationship with us. You will rest there for a while. And after your recovery, you will go home..."

The only thing I knew was that I should not cooperate with any arrangement of the evildoers and must request an unconditional release. In the end I left the forced labor camp openly and with dignity.

Soon, we heard the news that several Falun Gong practitioners had died from being persecuted in the labor camp. Many of their relatives were not even permitted to see the bodies.

After exposure of the horrifying news that organs from living Falun Gong practitioners are being harvested in the CCP's forced labor camps, prisons, secret concentration camps and hospitals, I suspect that at that time I was chosen as a candidate for live organ removal.

 Falun Gong practitioner Rao Chaoyuan from Guangdong Province, 40 years old, is the older brother of practitioner Rao Zhuoyuan who died as a result of persecution. After being detained by the evildoers for over one year, he was illegally sentenced to an eight-year prison term in January 2003. Now he is incarcerated in Sihui Prison in Guangdong Province, with one of his legs disabled from torture. With one son having died from gross abuse and another disabled, Rao Chaoyuan's parents are going through enormous misery and mental pressure.

On December 14, 2000, the police followed and arrested Mr. Rao Chaoyuan, Mr. Huang Jinhua and six other practitioners and locked them up in the Tianhe District Detention Center.

On December 12, 2001, the First Courthouse of Tianhe District held an illegal trial of the eight Falun Gong practitioners. Failing to achieve any verdict for Mr. Rao Chaoyuan, they afterwards put him back into the Tianhe Detention Center and illegally detained him without permitting his family members to visit him at all.

On January 14, 2003, the authorities decided on the unlawful sentence of eight years' imprisonment for Mr. Rao Chaoyuan, and transferred him directly to the First Section of the Tenth Ward, Sihui Prison. He has been illegally detained there ever since. His family members have never received any "judgment" from the court, except for the "Notification" of the eight-year prison term at the Sihui Prison.

On July 18, 2004 the family members of Mr. Rao Chaoyuan went to see him. They found him disabled in one leg from being forced to wear shackles. He walks laboriously and is lame in that leg. Mr. Rao Chaoyuan is still being exposed to excruciating abuse even now.

Mr. Rao Zhuoyuan, the younger, 33-year-old brother of Mr. Rao Chaoyuan, was re-arrested and taken to the Chini No. 1 Labor Camp in Huadu by policemen from the Guangzhou 610 Office, the Tianhe District 610 Office, Zhuhai District 610 Office and the No. 1 Labor Camp in Guangzhou. Insisting in his belief and refusing the so-called "reform," Mr. Rao Zhuoyuan suffered from the labor camp guards' assault and beating, being handcuffed to a basketball frame, exposed to daily baking in the sun and left out in the drenching rain. Two weeks of torture resulted in a neck bone fracture. Rao Zhuoyuan passed away on August 5, 2002, being unable to speak and only able to shed tears before his death. He had two bruised swellings on top of his head, his neck was bruised and swollen, and his hands and legs showed injuries from being struck with heavy objects. With one son having died from torture and another disabled and living on the brink of death, Rao Chaoyuan's parents find no place to appeal their grievance. They live under severe mental pressure and daily misery. Furthermore, they have to endure threats and menace from the Guangzhou 610 Office.

From the beginning of April to the end of May, Chengde City National Security Bureau and Chengde City Police Department in Hebei Province conducted a so-called "Spring Storm" action to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Every unit received an order to investigate local practitioners. The city police department sent policemen to every county to follow practitioners and tap their cellphones. Some practitioners have been harassed and illegally arrested.

Officers from the Chengde City National Security Bureau went to big cities to install wiretapping systems. The system is used to monitor Langfang City's practitioners' cell phones. They also pose as Falun Gong practitioners. They impressed practitioners with computer skills, knowledge of Falun Gong practice, etc. As result, several "truth-clarification" materials production sites in other big cities were damaged. Those people often go to Hong Kong. They use their informants to contact practitioners in Mainland China and then arrest them.

April 18, 2006, 3:30a.m., practitioner Ms. Li Shulan from Chengde City Jingshouying Mine was arrested by the local police. Also, a copy machine and some truth clarification materials were taken away. Several days later, Ms Li was sent to Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp in Hebei Province. She was sent to an unknown place in Chengde after the labor camp refused to take her.

In the evening on March 27, practitioner Mr. Zhang Aiming was arrested by policeman Xiang Cong and Liu Mingchen from the Natinal Security Group of  Chengde City Police Department while he was working. His home was illegally searched. A copy machine, truth clarification material, and some Falun Gong books were taken away. Mr. Zhang is being illegally detained in Chengde City's Xiaolaohu Detention Center.

On March 4 at 3:43 a.m., practitioner Mr. Zhou Qingtao from Guoshan Community Chengdue Iron and Steel (group) Ltd. was distributing truth clarification flyers inthe subdivision. He was discovered by company security patrol officer Yu Chunsheng from the company security department and security guard Zhao Hang. They called Officer Xiao Chunlei from the company security department, and Team Leader Wang Xiangdong from the Guoshang Team, to corner Mr. Zhou. Mr. Zhou is now detained in Chengde City Police Department Gangcheng Sub-department.

Practitioner Ms. Liu Xiaorong was forced to leave home to avoid persecution. On March 18 on her way back home from Beijing to Longhua, she was "illegally arrested" while she was clarifying the truth of Falun Gong on the train. She is being detained in the Longhua Huiyaogou Dentition Center. She is on a hunger strike to protest the persecution and is on the verge of the death.

Falun Gong practitioner, Mr. Zhao Weidong from Tai'an City in Shandong Province was illegally arrested and detained by the 8^th Team of 11^th District in the Shandong Province First Prison. He was persecuted and deprived of sleep for 26 consecutive days. He has been in a trance and is still suffering from the torture.

The authorities attempted to "transform" him by means of a "sudden attack." At first, a group of instructors sat in circle on stools and insulted Falun Gong. No sleep or little sleep was allowed. Over time, when Mr. Zhao persisted in practicing Falun Gong, they completely deprived him of sleep. He was forced to squat down, and a few new prisoners watched him. Whenever Mr. Zhao closed his eyes, they poked him, kicked him, and pulled his hair and ears.

From late October to early December 2005, for more than 600 hours over 26 days, Mr. Zhao was not allowed to sleep at all. Five or six new prisoners took shifts to watch him around the clock. They beat him whenever he closed his eyes. He had to keep his eyes open. When he could no longer maintain the squatting position and sat on the ground, they beat him, pulled him up, and forced him to squat. He was beaten and kicked countless times every day.

After the intense sleep deprivation and merciless beating over such a long time, Mr. Zhao became absent-minded. When the prisoners helped him to go to the bathroom, he would often lose his way. He was unable to straighten his back. His forehead was covered with lumps. Some came from falling on the floor. Some came from other prisoner's beating him with fists and knocking him with their finger joints. He fell to the ground (both forward and backward) dozens and even hundreds of times every day, especially in the evenings.

Once a prisoner counted with his watch and said, "Zhao fell seven times in one minute." He said, "Zhao's head hit the ground so hard that he almost broke the floor." However, Mr. Zhao was unconscious and had no idea what was happening. When he became conscious in the daytime, he kept repeating, "My head hurts so much."

One day, four or five prisoners beat Mr. Zhao mercilessly. They kicked both sides of his chest and hit his ribs hard with their knees. They covered his mouth with their hands and didn't let go until Mr. Zhao shook his head and mustered all of his strength to shout out, "I am suffocating. I can't breathe!"

Because Mr. Zhao couldn't sleep for such a long time, he was mentally disordered and acted strangely most of the time. He often acted as if he was washing his hands on the floor. People asked him what he was doing when he was conscious. He said he saw a layer of water on the floor, so he was washing his hands. He got worse in the evenings.

Even so, they tortured him even more. The instructor constantly gathered prisoners and thugs to discuss how to torture him. Once Mr. Zhao was beaten so hard that he lay on the floor and couldn't move. The instructor felt the situation was serious and told the thugs, "If anything happens to him [meaning if he was beaten to death], just say that he committed suicide." The instructors often said, "If you don't "transform," you are a dead man."

After that, Mr. Zhao lay on the bed and could hardly turn. His whole body ached and he couldn't turn sideways for a few months. His ribs hurt so much that he could hardly bear the pain. For over two months after his ear was injured in a beating, it hurt like it was packed solid. He was not allowed to go to the restroom. He was forced to restrain himself for ten and more hours and ended up soiling himself a few times.

These persecution facts are only the tip of the iceberg. It's only one case among countless brutal persecution cases in the 8^th Team in 11^th District in Shandong Province First Prison.

We hope the "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution" will come to the prisons in Shandong Province in China to investigate the persecution of practitioners.

Ms. Qu Shumei and her family

Practitioner Ms. Qu Shumei is 44 years old and lives in the Shahekou area of Dalian City. She has been "illegally detained" and had her property confiscated many times for practicing Falun Gong. She is being persecuted in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

On May 2000, because she posted truth clarifying materials in public, she was detained in a labor camp for three years. In the Dalian Re-education Center, she suffered from all kinds of grave tortures and her life was in danger. On May 1 she was released on bail for medical treatment.

In July 2002, she was illegally arrested by a group of police and sent directly to the Dalian Re-education Center where she was tortured in solitary confinement with the "Big Hang Up." Being confined in "solitary" means that the victim is put into a small one-person cell that contains a basin and a pair of handcuffs. One wrist is handcuffed to the door railing. The handcuffs can be fastened to the door railing at three different heights. In the highest position, the detainee has to extend his/her arm upward. The middle position is at waist level. In the lowest position, the detainee can sit on the ground. The " Big Hang Up" can be done in two ways: (1) Handcuffed behind the back and with only toes touching the ground, the victim is hung by a rope from a metal window frame or (2) One hand is cuffed to one bunk bed and the other hand to another bed. The two beds are pulled in opposite directions. It is extremely painful as the body is pulled apart. Ms. Qu was tortured for three whole days and nights. Blow her waist and on her torso she was covered in bruises from being beaten. She was unable to walk for many days.

In April 2004, once again she was arrested in her house, and sentenced to two and a half years of forced labor. In the Dalian Re-education Center she was confined in a solitary compartment for 22 days, and she was tied to a bed composed of three pieces of wood called a Death Bed, where the four limbs of the practitioner are stretched out and tied to the four corners of an icy-cold metal bed. The practitioner cannot move at all. Neither is he allowed to get up, eat, drink, or go to the bathroom. This treatment lasts from several hours up to more than a dozen days. This type of cruel torture causes severe damage to the practitioner both mentally and physically. On October 2004, they moved Ms. Qu to the Masanjia Women's Forced Labor Camp 2^nd Division to continue the persecution. Because she refused to cooperate, on April 2005, she was moved to the Women's 1^st Division. She was closely watched by criminals as her personal cangues. At the end of that year, when her relatives went to visit her, they saw that her whole body was covered in bruises from being beaten. The Chinese Communist Party authorities had confiscated possessions from her house many times, taking money, assets, and materials worth more than 100,000 yuan.

Her husband, Zhu Changbin, has also been arrested many times. In 2004 he was sentenced to 12 years in prison. He is now in Dabei Jail. At home their only child, a teenager, is left with a grandmother. Mr. Zhu's father has been worrying and missing his son for years, causing his health to become very critical. His life is in danger and he hopes to see his son soon.

The persecution of practitioners Ms. Wang Guixiang and her husband from Wafangdian

Because they insisted on upholding their belief, practitioners Wang Guixiang and her husband, Li Wanjiang, were persecuted many times. Ms. Wang was sent to a labor camp, and Mr. Li became homeless.

Ms. Wang Guixiang, 50 years old, lives in Paoya County, Wafangdian, Dalian City. Before they started to practice Falun Gong, this couple was very sick. After they both practiced, their sicknesses all disappeared. The nearby village people all witnessed these miracles, and many of them started to practice Falun Gong.

Even after the Chinese Communist Party started the bloody persecution, both of them persisted in practicing Falun Gong, therefore, both of them have been illegally arrested, had possessions confiscated, and have endured great suffering from serious persecution. The authorities from the county government and the police department intruded into their home to harass and threaten them over and over again. Also, the CCP arrested them many times. On April 2005, the police once again arrested Ms. Wang from home and sentenced her to two years in of forced labor. Now she is suffering from persecution in the Masanjia Re-education Center, Women's 2^nd Division. Her husband was forced to become homeless. His parents are both close to 80 years old. Out of concern but with difficulty they are watching their son's home, even though the police still come to harass them and question them closely about Mr. Li's whereabouts.

 Mr. Liu Zhirong was a teacher at Tuanjie Elementary School in Xifeng District, Qingyang City, Gansu Province. He was persecuted to death on January 10, 2006 by the guards in Section 1 of the No. 3 Prison in Tianshui City, Gansu Province. The prison guards cremated Mr. Liu Zhirong's body without his family's permission on January 14, 2006, in Tianshui Cremation Facility, and his ashes were sent back to the Qingyang Cremation Facility. His wife held a simple memorial service for him on May 8, 2006.

In order to cooperate with the "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China," I prepared this additional information regarding the death of Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Zhirong, hoping that I could identify the main perpetrators. In the meantime I also believed it would warn those who continue to persecute Falun Gong practitioners: Evil begets retribution, stop the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners.

Detailed information

1. On January 14, 2006, when Mr. Liu Zhirong's body was shown to his family members, the guards stated that Mr. Liu committed suicide. But there was no blood either on his body or on the quilt.

2. The corner of Mr. Liu's eye was festered. When his family member asked the cause, the guard replied, "That was caused by a mouse bite."

3. There are different versions of Mr. Liu's death. One witness (an inmate) stated, "The guards beat him to death. They carried Mr. Liu Zhirong out of the room with only one shoe on his foot and they took him straight to the hospital." Another witness said, "Mr. Liu died after the guard fiercely kicked him at the root of his ear." One guard claimed, "He committed suicide with a knife." Another guard said, "He committed suicide with a piece of a broken thermos bottle." A third guard said, "He committed suicide with a broken beer bottle."

4. One week after Mr. Liu passed away, his wife received a letter from him, asking her to send him a pair of shoes, and some food and articles for daily use.

We strongly appeal to people from all walks of life to please support and join the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China! Help stop the persecution!

 Falun Gong practitioners Kang Aimin and Kang Aiqin from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province were once again arrested and detained. Their father Kang Fengtang witnessed his daughters being repeatedly persecuted during the seven-year persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party. He passed away unjustly on April 9, 2006.

Mr. Kang Fengtang was 74 years old and came from Jiamusi City. Falun Gong brought happiness and health to his family. However, after July 20, 1999, when Jiang's regime launched the persecution of Falun Gong, his daughters were arrested and detained many times. They were sentenced to labor camps and were subjected to inhuman humiliation and torture. His daughter Kang Aimin passed out from being shocked with high-voltage electric batons. She was whipped with hard rubber clubs and tortured in the "big hang up" (1) position in Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp.

The older gentleman witnessed his daughters being brutally arrested many times during the last seven years. His spirit was gravely pained and traumatized.

On March 28, 2006, his two daughters, Kang Aimin and Kang Aiqin were clarifying the truth about Falun Gong and asking people to quit the three Communist organizations and to distance themselves from the evil deeds in Haweisi Commercial Square of Qiaonan District, Jiamusi City. They were reported to the authorities and arrested by the security staff and the police from the Shunhe Street Police Station, Qianjin District. After learning this sad news, their father was intensely traumatized, became gravely ill and passed away unjustly on April 9, 2006.

Their family members went to the detention center and the 610 Office many times to see their father for the last time. However, the police officers demanded the family's money without any conscience. The sisters were prohibited from visiting their ill father without paying a bribe. Thus, the two daughters were unable to see their father from the time he became gravely ill to his death.

Note:

1. "Big hang up" - There are two forms in this torture: (1) With both hands cuffed behind the back and only the toes touching the ground, one is hung by a rope that is tied to the metal window frames. (2) One hand of a practitioner is cuffed to one bunk bed and the other hand to another bed, and the two beds are pulled in the opposite directions. One feels extreme pain as the body is pulled.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Ruiqiu from Lixia District, Jinan City, Shandong province is a retired staff worker of the Jinan City Semiconductor Research Institute, and she is 59 years old. She lived at Shenggongxiaoshe Dormitory on Heping Road.

At around noon on May 15, 2006, someone reported Ms. Liu to the authorities because she clarified the truth while she was buying vegetables at the Dongbaliwa Market. As a result, policeman Wang Decheng and others from the Shunyulu Local Police Station in Shizhong District arrested her and took her to the police station. Later, they, along with eight or nine other policemen from the Keyuanlu Local Police Station, took Ms. Liu to her home and began to illegally search it. They confiscated all of her Falun Gong books, Teacher's picture, an MP3 player, a checkbook and other items after they were finished taking photos of her home. The area where Ms. Liu lived is under the Keyuanlu Local Police Station's jurisdiction.

Ms. Liu is now imprisoned at the Jinan City Detention Center.

2. [Baoding, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhi Zanmin and Three Other Practitioners Sentenced to Lengthy Prison Terms

Four practitioners from Baoding have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms. Both Mr. Zhi Zanmin and Mr. Zhang Rongjie were sentenced to 12 years imprisonment, while Mr. Liu Yongwang was sentenced to eight years and Mr. Wei Haiwu four years. The verdicts were handed down by the Hebei Provincial People's High Court, which is controlled by the Hebei Provincial Political and Judiciary Committee. Luo Gan, who is head of the notorious 610 Office and in charge of the Chinese Communist Party's legal and security apparatus, personally oversaw the practitioners' case.

3. [Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Ms. Zhang Hongyi Arrested for the Fifth Time

Practitioner Ms. Zhang Hongyi, over 60 years old, lived in the dormitory building of the Xi'an District Party School, Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province. On May 11, 2006, she was illegally arrested for the fifth time.

4. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Practitioner Ms. Song Weijuan Persecuted at Nanjing Women's Prison and Is Now in Critical Condition

Practitioner Ms. Song Weijuan is being held at Nanjing Women's Prison. She is currently in critical condition. The prison has unlawfully withheld the letters written from her family.

5. [Gansu Province] Information on the Persecution of Practitioners at Jiuquan Prison

As a form of torture, Jiuquan Prison officials persecute practitioners who remain steadfast and refuse to compromise by detaining them in underground facilities where they cannot see sunlight for a long time. As a result, the practitioners become extremely thin, their reactions slow, and their complexion pale. When their families visit them, they are not given any privacy. Each practitioner is strictly monitored by three cangues and two prison guards that accompany the family members. Therefore, practitioners cannot expose the persecution they are experiencing, and can only tell the family members that they may never see them again.

6. [Qingyuan County, Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Mr. Sun Hongchang's Leg Crippled As a Result of Beating by the Police

After practitioner Mr. Sun Hongchang from Qingyuan County, Fushun City, Liaoning Province, was arrested by the police from the First Division of the Fushun City Police Department and the Qingyuan County National Security Group, they physically assaulted him while in custody in the National Security Group of the County Police Department. As a result, one of Mr. Sun's legs became injured and he was unable to take care of himself. He is currently in the Dashagou Detention Center in Qingyuan County.

Owing to the severe tortures, Mr. Sun Hongchang is now extremely weak. His family has requested that he be sent to a hospital for treatment, but the authorities turned down their request. Instead, the police department told Mr. Sun's family to pay 1000 yuan before they would give him medical treatment. Mr. Sun's family insisted that they see him before paying the money, but bureau officlas refused permission.

Wang Xinchuan, the Chief of the National Security Group of the county police department asked Mr. Sun's mother to sign a document, which she refused to do. Because she did not cooperate with them, the police even wanted to arrest her. Mr. Sun's wife, Wang Xiuxia, and his son have already been murdered.

7. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Mr. Liu Hanchun Abducted by the Police

Some time after 10:00 p.m. on May 9, 2006, 61-year-old practitioner Mr. Liu Hanchun from Xincun Village, Nanshu Township, Laixi City in Qingdao, was arrested by a police officer from the Township Police Sub-station. Then the police went to his home and ransacked it. They confiscated Falun Gong books and truth-clarification materials. Mr. Liu is being held in the Laixi City Detention Center and is being tortured.

8. [Tianjin City] Mr. Wei Tongyun And Four Other Practitioners Abducted

On March 7, 2006, five practitioners were "illegally arrested" while they were clarifying the truth in Sidangkou Village, Wuqing County, Tianjin City. They are: Mr. Wei Tongyun, Mr. Xu Fengyi, Mr. Qu Shuqin, Mr. Zheng Dianrong and Mr. Ren Dongsheng.

On May 4, 2006, while clarifying the truth at the Jinan Science and Technology Market, practitioner Ms. Wu Yanhua, who is over 50 years old, was arrested by the Jinan police. The police were acting panicky because Jiang Zemin, the main culprit in the persecution of Falun Gong, had arrived. Recently, Ms. Wu Yanhua was transferred to the Jinan Detention Center.

11. [Nanzheng County, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Zheng Keming Sentenced to Prison and Sent to Xi'an City

Towards the end of 2005, while Mr. Zheng Keming from Nanzheng County was clarifying the truth, he was reported to the authorities. As a result, he was arrested by the National Security Sections of Nanzheng and Hanzhong Counties. He has been sentenced and sent to Xi'an.

Mr. Zheng Keming lived in the dormitory of the Nanzheng County Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Deparatment and was repeatedly persecuted by the CCP because of his belief. This included being fined, forced to give his code to his bank deposits by use of torture, and robbed of his personal belongings. The CCP's slandering propaganda against Falun Gong has caused his family and coworkers who do not know the truth of the persecution to misunderstand and have negative feelings toward him. Now they do not even care about his whereabouts.

12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] More Than 30 Practitioners Have Been Detained in Tangxunhu Brainwashing Center

More than 30 practitioners have been detained in the Tangxunhu Brainwashing Center in Wuhan City, Hubei Province. Those from the Qingshan District include 64-year-old practitioner Mr. Chen Zhongyi. He is a retired worker of the Qingshan Petrochemical Plant. On Monday, April 10, 2006, he was arrested by the police and his home was ransacked. Mr. Yan Simin, over 40 years old, from Yingcheng, Hubei Province, was also taken to the brainwashing center with Mr. Chen Zhongyi.

Ms. Cao Ping, 35 years old, was an employee of the Energy Plant of the Wuhan Iron and Steel Complex. One of her colleagues asked for truth-clarification material, but after she received it, she reported Ms. Cao to the authorities. On March 6, 2006, Ms. Cao was arrested at work by the police from the Qingshan Steel Plant Police Station and taken to the Wuhan City Detention Center. After 15 days of detention, Ms. Cao was not released, but she was instead sent directly to the Tijiao Brainwashing Center of Wuhan City. She is still "illegally detained" at the center. Her work unit, the Wuhan Iron and Steel Complex, voluntarily paid 6,000 yuan to keep her in the brainwashing center.

13. [Beijing] Practitioner Ms. Gu Jinrong Taken Away

On April 25, 2006, Ms. Gu Jinrong was taken away and her home ransacked by the police from the Xinyuanli Police Station of Chaoyang District and the National Security Group of the Chaoyang Police Sub-bureau, and the Beijing members of the local neighborhood committee. The perpetrators confiscated Falun Gong books but failed to find what they called "evidence." They also video taped the whole process.

According to inside sources in the police department, around April 25, the National Security Group arrested 29 practitioners, who are still being held in a detention center in the Guanzhuang Area of the Chaoyang District.

14. [Gansu] Several More Practitioners from the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology Have Been Persecuted

Recently, more practitioners from the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology have been persecuted. Among them, practitioner Ms. Jia, a retiree, was sentenced to two years of forced labor. Several other practitioners, including Mr. Wan Qiang, Ms. Wang Shuyan and Mr. Xu, were taken to the brainwashing center.

Wang Qiang, about 40 years old, with a masters degree from Qinghua University, was a general manager of a company under the First Research Institute for Metrology & Measurement of the China Aviation Industry Corporation I. Wang Shuyan and Lao Xu were both retired employees of the research institute.

15. [Shanghai] Practitioners Ms. Wu Jingfang and Ms. Wu Meifang Arrested

Practitioners Ms. Wu Jingfang and Ms. Wu Meifang are sisters and both lived on the 8th Street in the Jinyang Neighborhood of the Pudong New District in Shanghai. On April 28, 2006, while they were leaving some truth-clarification materials at a supermarket on Mid-Yanggao Road, they were arrested by the police, who had been waiting nine days at the market to arrest them. Now both sisters are held in the Zhangjiang Detention Center in Pudong New District.

16. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Practitioner Ms. Shi Changying Has Suddenly Gone Missing

Practitioner Ms. Shi Changying, over 50 years old, was from Hefei City, Anhui Province. She was forced to leave home and become destitute in order to avoid arrest and further persecution. Around April 20, 2006, she suddenly went missing.

17. [Yichang, Hubei Province] Practitioners Mr. Peng Zexiu and Mr. Shen Lieying Arrested by the Police

On May 8, 2006, while practitioners Mr. Peng Zexiu and Mr. Shen Lieying from Yichang City, Hubei Province, were clarifying the truth about Falun Gong, they were arrested by the police and sent to a detention center.

18. [Beijing City] Ms. Wang Chenhua Illegally Detained in the Daxing Detention Center for Practicing Falun Gong

In May of 2004, former servicewoman Ms. Wang Chenghua from Nanyuan Airport, Beijing, was arrested by the police from Beijing City Police Department in collaboration with those from the Nanyuan Police Station because she practices Falun Gong. She has been transferred to the Daxing Detention Center in Beijing, where she is currently detained.

19. [Tianjin City] Additional Information on the Arrest of Practitioner Ms. Han Enzhi from Dawangguzhuang Township, Wuqing District

At around 11:00 a.m. on April 7, 2006, the police from the Dawangguzhuang Township Police Station, led by Zhang Jianguo, a villager from Shuihuopu Village, and Song Dehua, the Director of the local Public Security Committee, went to Ms. Han Enzhi's home and arrested her. On the following day, Ms. Han was detained in the Dawangguzhuang Police Station.

20. [Qingzhou City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners from Tanfang Township Arrested

At around 9:00 a.m. on May 11, 2006, the police and Zuo Hengfa from Qingzhou City, with the help of the Tanfang Township Police Station, arrested five practitioners from Tanfang Township. They are Ms. Liu Yongmei, Mr. Wang Yuqing, and Ms. Sun Aiying from Tanfang Village; Mr. Zheng Yushan from Lijizhuang Village; and Ms. Li Xiuqin from Sunjialou Village. All the police officers were in plainclothes when they carried out the arrests.

21. [Shahe City, Hebei Province] Some Information About Practitioner Mr. Fan Qingzhou

In 2005, practitioner Mr. Fan Qingzhou from Shahe City, Hebei Province, was sentenced to prison and is currently being held in the 3rd Squadron of the 4th Detachement, Luannan County, Tangshan City. His wife and young child are now in dire straits.

23. [Linqu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Fang And Other Practitioners Arrested

On May 10, 2006, practitioner Ms. Wang Fang from Tianshuijingzi Village, Yangshan Township, Linqu City, Shandong Province, was abducted. At the same time, practitioner Ms. Yin Hongqin from Zhifang Village, Zhifang Township, Linqu City, was also abducted by the Linqu National Security Group.

On May 13, 2006, practitioner Ms. Sun Aifeng's home in Maling Village, Zhifang Township, Linqu City, was surrounded by five to six policemen from the Linqu National Security Group. They attempted to arrest Ms. Sun. However, Ms. Sun Aifeng had already left home on May 10. When the policemen failed to find her, they climbed over the wall and ransacked her home. They stole more than 4,000 yuan in cash and three deposit certificates totaling more than 10,000 yuan.

24. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioners from Shihua in the Qingshan District Harassed

The home of practitioner Mr. Chen Zhongyi from Shihua in the Qingshan District of Wuhan City was ransacked on the evening of April 10, 2006. Another practitioner, Ms. Luo Mengqin, also from the Qingshan District, was forced to leave home and become homeless in order to avoid being arrested and persecuted.

25. [Tanghai County, Hebei Province] Practitioner Ms. Zheng Xiufang Arrested

At around 11:00 a.m. on April 24, 2006, the Tanghai County Government, the County Police Department and the Tanghai Township Police Station in Hebei Province collaborated arresting practitioner Ms. Zheng Xiufang, who is over 50. The thugs also ransacked the family's home-based truth-clarification materials site. Now Ms. Zheng Xiufang is in the Tanghai Brainwashing Center.

1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Dou Xinzhe Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor - Belated news

On the morning of December 20, 2005, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Dou Xinzhe from the Huanggu District and five other practitioners were arrested while they were reading Falun Gong teachings at a fellow practitioner's home. The head of the Huanggu District 610 Office, the Shouquan Police Station head and some policemen broke into the place, arrested them and took them to a police station. Some older practitioners were released later. Dou Xinzhe's home was ransacked, and his computer confiscated. Dou Xinzhe has been secretly sentenced to one year of forced labor.

2. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Zhao Yongcai Arrested

Falun Gong practitioner Zhao Yongcai was arrested on May 15, 2006. His ailing mother went to the Nanshan Detention Center in Shulan City, but detention center personnel would not let her visit her son. The elderly mother then went to National Security Group to demand them to release her son, but her demand was refused. The division head Li Jiazhe even threatened her.

3. [Lishu County, Jilin Province] Practitioner Gao Peng Recently Arrested at Home

It was learned that recently personnel from Wanfa Town Police Station arrested practitioner Mr. Gao Peng from Taiping Town at home and sent him to the Lishu County Detention Center. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, police constantly harassed Gao Peng. He opted to live away from home for several years to avoid persecution and had just returned home a few months prior, but was arrested again.

4. [Jianping County, Liaoning Province] Practitioners Li Wentao and Zhou Shulan Arrested

At around 10:00 a.m. on May 16, 2006, personnel from the National Security Group arrested practitioners Mr. Li Wentao and Ms. Zhou Shulan from Jianping County at their own homes for no reason and sent them to the Jianping County No. 2 Detention Center. The police confiscated their personal belongings including computers.

5. [Beijing] Practitioner Zhao Hui Arrested

Practitioner Zhao Hui, who lives in the No. 2 Building of the Tuanjie Community, Xizhimen, was arrested on May 7, 2006.

6. [Harbin, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Dou Zhaowu Arrested

Some time after 7:00 p.m. on May 12, 2006, two agents including Yang Hui from the Wanggang Police Station went to practitioner Mr. Dou Zhaowu's home, beat Mr. Dou and then took him away. Later, another four policemen confiscated Dou's TV set and DVD player. Dou Zhaowu was held unlawfully in the Wanggang Police Station for a night. He has been transferred to the Nangang Police Department Detention Center.

7. [Wulanhaote City, Inner Mongolia AR] Practitioner Li Guimei and Others Arrested

In late February 2006, personnel from the local 610 Office arrested three practitioners including Ms. Li Guimei from Wulanhaote City and Xing'an Meng from Inner Mongolia AR. Li Guimei went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution and he has not been released. The other two practitioners' situation is unknown.

8. [Yitong County, Jilin Province] Practitioner Sun Zhanjuan Arrested

During the evening of May 12, 2006, personnel from the National Security Group, the Gongzhuling City Police Department in Jilin Province arrested practitioner Ms. Sun Zhanjuan from Daqiao Village, Jingtai Town, Yitong County, Jilin Province. She is currently being held in a detention center in Gongzhuling City.

Three agents from the Jingtai Town Police Station ransacked Sun's home. Now, no one takes care of her 84-year-old father and 82-year-old mother. Her father became almost blind after he knew his daughter had been arrested. He lost the control of his bowels and bladder. He cried every day. Her mother, who had suffered from rheumatoid arthritis for years, could barely take care of herself.

9. [Chaoyang, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Wang Enying and Daughter Arrested

On May 11, 2006, personnel from the Beita Investigation Division, the Shuangta District Branch Police Department, Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province broke into practitioner Ms. Wang Enying's home. The raid was led by political head Gao, who was in charge of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. They took Wang Enying and her daughter Gao Yunhui (also a practitioner) away, then ransacked the practitioners' home and confiscated eight Falun Gong books and three exercise mats. The mother and daughter were released that afternoon.

10. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Yu Zhen Held in the Changliu Detention Center

Practitioner Ms. Yu Zhen was arrested on November 25, 2005 for distributing truth-clarifying materials and was locked up in the Changliu Detention Center in Tonghua City. Now six months have passed. Currently, Yu Zhen is in poor health. She often experienced unexpected attacks of by heart disease and then fainted. When that happened, prisoners would press her renzhong point (an acupuncture point) for a while to make her come round. This happened frequently.

11. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Practitioners Qi Xiang and Zhao Lingling Nabbed

During noon on May 16, 2006, personnel from Beita Police Department arrested practitioners Ms. Qi Xiang and then Ms. Zhao Lingling. The persecutors confiscated two PCs, a printer and all Falun Gong books.

12. [Hebei Province] Practitioner Guo Xingrong Being Held in the Fucheng County Detention Center

At around noon on May 12, 2006, practitioner Ms. Guo Xingrong from Jing Village, Matou Town, Fucheng County returned home from a farm chore. As soon as she arrived at home, personnel from the Fucheng County Police Department arrested her and put her into the Fucheng County Detention Center.

13. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Information About the Arrest of Three Practitioners from Chengyang District in Qingdao City

At 9:00 a.m. on May 12, 2006, someone reported practitioner Mr. Shao Chengluo when Shao was distributing truth-clarifying materials in Hong Island. Afterwards, personnel from the Chengyang District Police Department arrested him and searched his house. They confiscated his PC and materials.

Practitioners Ms. Yang Youfeng and Ms. Liu Xiuzhen are from Liutingnugu Village, the Chengyang District, Qingdao City. At 8:00 p.m. on May 12, a group of lawless local policemen went to their home, knocked them to the ground and brutally beat them. Eyewitnesses questioned the police as to why they were beating the two women practitioners, but the police totally ignored their questions. Furthermore, they then arrested the two practitioners and took them to a police station.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wu Shihai, has been illegally imprisoned in the Second Prison Section, Deyang Prison. He is being severely persecuted and is unable to take care of himself. Ms. Shi Zhangmei, a woman in her 50's, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Shiyan City, Hubei Province. On April 26, 2006, the National Security Group and the 610 Office from Zhangwan area in Shiyan City arrested her and illegally detained her in the Shiyan City First Detention Center. She is not allowed to see her family. The prison intends to ask the court to open an illegal session to try her. Ms. Shi has been on hunger strike to protest her imprisonment.

3. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Falun Gong Practitioners Zhang Xian, Wang Shaoqiu, and Others are on a Hunger Strike to Protest Illegal Imprisonment

Six to seven Falun Gong practitioners, including Mr. Zhang Xian and Ms. Wang Shaoqiu, were arrested during 2005-2006 and sent to the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp.

In early 2006, they were sent to Xianghe County Detention Center. Ms. Wang was illegally sentenced to four years in prison. They are on a hunger strike to protest the unlawful persecution.

4. [Hebei Province] Falun Gong Practitioners are Transferred to Xicheng Forced Labor Camp in Shijiazhuang City

Most of the Falun Gong practitioners in Hebei Province have been transferred to the Xicheng Forced Labor Camp in Shijiazhuang City. They are imprisoned in the Third Group (Special Guard Group) and are not allowed family visits. The Camp intends to reform them by force.

5. [Liaoning Province] Huang Sumei is Tortured and Persecuted in Masanjia Women's Forced Labor Camp

Masanjia Women's Forced Labor Camp has used vicious means to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Because she was unwilling to cooperate with the wicked people in the camp, Ms. Huang Sumai was handcuffed in a small "triangular" room for two days and a night. She was locked in an empty room for almost two weeks and then sent to a small confinement cell for over twenty days.

Department of Politics and Security arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Yuling, an elementary school teacher in Shengshui Township, Liuhe County, Jilin Province.

On the afternoon of May 13, 2006, police from Liuhe County arrested Ms. Wang Yuling. She is illegally detained in a county detention center.

On May 16, 2006, police arrested Falun Gong practitioner, Ms. Yu Fengchun, from Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province, when she was clarifying the truth in a shopping center. They searched her household and confiscated Teacher's photo and Falun Gong books. Ms. Yu is now being detained in the Shuangyashan City Detention Center

8. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Lan Runzhi is Illegally Arrested and Detained in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lan Runzhi, a woman over 50 years old, is a technician at Bohai Agrotechnical Station. In 2003, she was arrested and sentenced to three years of forced labor. She is now imprisoned in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Her family went to the camp to see her but were refused and returned home in dismay.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Chuanyu, 63, is imprisoned in Beijing Women's Prison and has become deaf as a result of being persecuted.

10. [Gucheng County, Hebei Province] Ye Shufeng and Two Other Falun Gong Practitioners are Arrested

On the afternoon of May 12, 2006, approximately six police officers from the Gucheng County 610 Office arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Ye Shufeng. They took her home and searched her house unlawfully. They forced her family to disclose the location of her oldest son's wife, Wei Xiubian. They then went to Wei's office and took her home. When the two practitioners Ms. Wei and Ms. Ye refused to cooperate with them, police contacted Zhengkou County Police Station. Cui Jian and two dozen police officers arrived in two separate vehicles and surrounded their home. At 4:00 p.m., they arrested Wei Xiubian and detained her in Gucheng County Detention Center. Police also took a copy of Zhuan Falun and other Falun Gong-related materials.

On their way to the detention center, the police saw another Falun Gong practitioner, Ms. Fan Xinzhi, who was selling vegetables at her vegetable stand. They got out of their vehicle and arrested her without reason and did not follow appropriate protocol when interacting with her. Police searched her home and confiscated some truth-clarifying materials.

On May 11, 2006, police arrested another Falun Gong practitioner, Xiao Qin, who runs a supermarket.

12. [Dezhou, Shandong Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Li Xiue is Arrested

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Ki Xiue, approximately 50 years old, lives in Chenzhuang, Xinhua Office, Decheng Section, Dezhou, Shandong Province. Early on the morning of May 16, 2006, police arrested her when she was distributed truth-clarifying materials. Police also searched her home illegally and detained her in Decheng Section Detention Center and did not allow family visits.

13. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Li Yan is Detained in Taiyuan City Women's Detention Center

On May 14, 2006, police from Sanqiao Police Station, Xinghualing Branch Bureau, and Taiyuan City Police Department arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Yan and imprisoned her in Taiyuan City Women's Detention Center.

14. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ye Yongfeng is Detained in Sanshui Forced Labor Camp

According to inside information obtained from Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Ye Yongfeng from Futian District, Shenzhen City, was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor. She was secretly imprisoned in Sanshui Women's Forced Labor Camp

15. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Luo Zhaolan is Imprisoned in Zizhong Nanmu Women's Forced Labor Camp

On February 14, 2006, the 610 Office from Guangyuan City arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Luo Zhaolan from Xindu Section, Chengdu City. She was illegally sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor. She is imprisoned in the Xizhong Nanmusi Women's Forced Labor Camp.

16. [Chongqing City] Falun Gong Practitioner Wang Qi is Imprisoned in Xishanping Forced Labor Camp

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Qi from Seven-Town District, Nanan Section, Chongqing City, was arrested in March 2006 and sentenced to two years of forced labor. He is imprisoned in Xiahanping Forced Labor Camp.

17. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Zhou Zhigao Imprisoned in Jinshi Prison

In August 2002, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhou Zhigao from Changsha City was arrested and sentenced to seven years in prison. He is imprisoned in Jinshi Prison, Huna Province. Refusing to cooperate with vicious people, he is thus cruelly persecuted.

18. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Lin from Highway Technical School is Arrested

On May 15, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lin, a teacher at Nanyang City Highway Technical School in Henan Province, was reportedly arrested while clarifying the truth at the chemical fertilizer market town, Xiezhuang Township.
