Learning that Yang Jianpo, a Falun Gong practitioner from Langfang City, was illegally locked up in the Baoding Prison, his family took action. Agents from the Guangyang District Regime and from the 610 Office in Langfang had imprisoned their family member, practitioner Yang Jianpo in the Baoding Prison in Hebei Province. They went there on May 23. They gave the entrance guard details of Mr. Yang's plight, who reported the information by telephone to Zhao Dongliang, chief of the Prison Politics Section (office phone 86-312-5923058). They told Zhao that three hospitals in Langfang already issued critically ill notices for Yang Jianpo and refused to accept him. Mr. Yang suffered from systemic shock and was dying. They also told Zhao that Cao Baoyu, a practitioner once locked up at the same place, had already died as a result of the persecution. They didn't want another tragedy to happen. They expressed that they hoped to meet with Mr. Yang.
Persecutor Zhao Dongliang had initially said, "Let me assure you his situation is not as serious as you said. The hospital here is treating him. If something happens to him, we will notice his family. You hang up first. I will ask for instructions from the higher authorities to see if they permit you to meet him. I will tell you later." When he called back he stated there was no Yang Jianpo at his facility. No matter what Mr. Yang's families reasoned, he just didn't admit his presence there. His attitude was also very rude. Then he simply hung up. The chief of the prison politics section, Zhao Dongliang's words and actions were completely different. What was he hiding?
The Guangyang District Regime authorities and those from the 610 Office in Langfang City evaded responsibility and said, "He (Mr. Yang) has been sentenced and is imprisoned in the Baoding Prison." Mr. Yang's family, while staying in Baoding called an official surnamed Liu from the Guangyang District Regime (13503162571). When he heard that it was Mr. Yang's family who was calling he immediately hung up and no longer responded when Mr. Yang's family called again.
A few days before Liu once arbitrarily said to Mr. Yang's family, "He was sent to wherever he should go." He also intimidated them by saying, "You be careful! Don't go here and there. I'm not threatening you. Be watchful!"
Mr. Yang's family now urgently appeals to international human rights organizations and to the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong and all righteous people around the world to pay attention to Mr. Yang's predicament and take all actions to stop this outrage so the tragedy that happened to Mr. Cao Baoyu might not repeat itself and happen to Mr. Yang.
On March 16, 2006, Falun Gong practitioner Wang Hai, who is imprisoned in the 2nd Group of Mudanjiang Prison in Heilongjiang Province was locked in the No. 8 solitary confinement room by the Prison Law Enforcement Team and was brutally persecuted.
The prison police stripped Wang Hai and allowed him to wear only underwear. They pushed him down to a very cold board, stretched his body and fixed his hands and feet. Usually the solitary confinement room is extremely cold and people feel very cold even when they wear a cotton jacket. Right now it is the chilly early spring and Wang Hai was stripped. Moreover, the prison police led by Song Junlin and criminals Liu Lijun, Lin Xiaoding and others, brutally tortured Wang Hai at least twice every day. Policeman Song Junlin used batons, fists and feet to pound Wang Hai, and caused him serious incontinence of the feces and urine, along with mental trauma. Wang Hai also could not stand or walk. Even so, the abuse never stopped.
According to documents from the Chinese Ministry of Justice, solitary confinement cannot exceed fifteen days. But Wang Hai has already been locked in the solitary confinement room for six months, and the prison still has not released him. They are afraid that the crimes of the evil party and their accomplices will be exposed and they are afraid that the brutal persecution of Wang Hai will cause objection and anger in the prisoners and in the prison police who still have a sense of justice.
In the Mudanjiang Prison at Heilongjiang Province, more than twenty Falun Gong practitioners were brutally persecuted. Each time, policeman Song Junlin is the first volunteer. He brutally and insanely tortures Falun Gong practitioners but he does not receive any punishment. More ridiculously, he was rewarded as "top performer" by the CCP's prison system.
On February 17, 2006, the Mudanjiang Prison at Heilongjiang Province started to brutally torture the Falun Gong practitioners imprisoned in Group 8. Huang Guodong was locked in the solitary confinement room. On February 22, prison policeman Wu Xuejun beat practitioner Xu Xiangdong. On February 24, practitioners Guan Wenlong, Liu Jun, Zhang Shijiang and others were beaten by police guards using four electric batons. Guan Wenlong's shoulder and back were swollen. Policeman Wu Xuejun used an awl to stab Guan Wenlong. On February 25, four prison policemen, including Wu Xuejun, Song Junpiao, Yan Jiang and Bai Zhiqiang beat Huang Wenlong very badly. On February 26, they again started to torture practitioner Xu Xiangdong.
1. The following is a list of some of the Falun Gong practitioners who were tortured in recent years.
Zhao Yuhong: Since July 20, 1999, she has spent almost all of that time in prison. She has been arrested numerous times and tortured by the 610 Office. She was sentenced to three years in the Shandong Province Women's Forced Labor Camp, which is located in Jinan City. Meanwhile, because of her strong persistence in her beliefs, the guards had her tortured. After her sentence was completed, she returned home and continued to clarify the truth. For that reason she was once again arrested by the Zhaoyuan City 610 Office. The staff members there interrogated her using brutal torture. All of the persecution caused long-term memory loss and the inability to speak. Her thumbs were disabled, and she couldn't take care of her daily needs without assistance. Even under these circumstances, she was still illegally sentenced to four years and confined in the Shandong Province Women's Prison. On March 18 of this year, her term was over. Because she refused to be "transformed," perpetrators delivered her directly from the Shandong Province Women's Prison to the Zhaoyuan City Brainwashing Center, where she was illegally detained. Her 75-year-old mother went to the center numerous times asking for her daughter's release, but to no avail.
Yang Wenjie: The Zhaoyuan City Police Department and local 610 Office arrested, detained, and tortured her many times. She is now detained at the 2nd Women's Forced Labor Camp of Shandong Province, located in Wang Village, Zibo City. Because she refused to be transformed, she was kept in solitary confinement for a long time. Once, she was handcuffed in the guards' restroom for four months. The skin on her wrists peeled off and the flesh gaped open. The wound has now healed, but left a purple scar. In 2005, at the end of her term, she still hadn't been "transformed," so the 610 Office sent her directly to a local brainwashing center, where she was still persistent in her faith. The head of the center Sun Qiquan ordered several thugs to beat her. They used clubs, ropes, belts, and leather shoes. Ms. Yang's hands were cuffed behind her back and then she was suspended in the air. They also hired drunks to beat her to near death. She was unable to get out of bed for several days and couldn't move a muscle. In order to force her to stop the practice, perpetrators deprived her of food and water for five days. She stayed at the brainwashing center for several months but remained steadfast. They illegally sentenced her to a labor camp for two years. She is now detained at the 2nd Women's Forced Labor Camp of Shandong Province.
The Zhaoyuan City "610 Office" arrested Kao Fuquan and tortured him for seven consecutive days and nights. Later, he was sent to a labor camp for three years. His term has been completed and he is home now.
Guo Yuqing was detained in a labor camp for three years. During that time, he refused to give up practicing Falun Gong. The guards kept him from sleeping for more than twenty days and no water was given to him. His term is over and he is home now.
Liu Yaohua was arrested several times and sent to a brainwashing center. Led by the center staff members Song Shuqin and Sun Qiquan, Liu Yujiu and Liu Cuihua of the brainwashing center brutally tortured Liu Yaohua many times. She lost consciousness and nearly died.
Zhang Shuxiang refused to be "transformed" when detained at the brainwashing center. Song Shuqin instructed thugs to beat her severely. As a result, she wasn't able to eat normally for about six weeks. Her vision was blurry for many days. In 2006, because of her persistence in practicing Falun Gong, Sun Qiquan and others handcuffed her and hung her up. Her body had symptoms of a severe illness. She couldn't walk without two people holding her up on each side. Nevertheless, she was still sentenced to jail for four years. Currently, she is being detained at the Shandong Province Women's Prison located in Jinan City.
Li Zhaoxia was arrested and detained illegally many times by the Zhaoyuan Police Department and the local 610 Office. She was once sent to a labor camp for three years. When her body showed symptoms of illness, she was given an early release. Because of the repeated long-term imprisonment, she is very weak. Her former employer fired her.
Shao Zhouxian was detained at the Zhaoyuan City Brainwashing Center. She refused to be "transformed" and was subjected to torture. The perpetrators also injected an unknown drug into her. She suffered great physical and psychological pain.
After the 610 Office police tortured Liu Fubin, he was sentenced to three years at the Wang Village Forced Labor Camp, Zibo City, Shandong Province. Mr. Liu's mental and physical health has suffered greatly.
Sun Guo was arrested in the years 2001 and 2002. Police of the 610 Office tortured him. Later, he was sentenced to eight years in prison. Currently, he is at the Shandong Province Prison. Because he refused to be transformed, he was subjected to severe torture, small-cell confinement, and strict supervision.
Wang Yanqing was arrested in the year 2002. After being tortured by police from the 610 Office, he was sentenced to six years in prison. Currently, he is being confined in Shandong Province Prison.
Wang Xueyong was also arrested in year 2002. After being tortured by police from the 610 Office, he was put in jail for six years. Now, he is in the Shandong Province Prison.
After the Zhaoyuan City 610 Office arrested Fu Xinli in year 2005, they tortured him and sentenced him to six years in prison. During this time, he fell from the fifth floor, causing several broken bones, a damaged spleen, and he was unconscious for a long time.
After being sentenced to six years in prison, Fu Yingxia is currently confined at the Shandong Province Women's Prison. She was tortured in the past by head of the Zhaoyuan City 610 Office Luan Deqing and his subordinates.
Yang Xiuying was nearly tortured to death by police from the Zhaoyuan 610 Office.
Li Meixin was arrested several times. People from the Daqinjia Town government and police station tortured her badly.
Sun Huanmei was arrested and tortured several times. Members of the 610 Office once kicked her repeatedly and broke her lower back.
Wang Meiqing was arrested, detained, and tortured many times.
Yang Meiyun was tortured by the 610 Office. She was sent to a labor camp for three years. Due to persecution, her body has exhibited severe symptoms of illness.
2. The following Falun Gong practitioners have been illegally sentenced or detained in labor camps and prison.
Confined in Shandong Province Prison: Chen Shihuan, Wang Songwu, Wang Hejiang, Sun Guo, Wang Yanqing, Wang Xueyong, and Yang Zhenlan.
Confined in Huaibei Prison in Weifang City: Wang Zhenfeng, and Peng Lekuan.
Confined in Shandong Province Women's Prison: Chen Shuhua, Zhang Shuxiang, Li Dezhen, Zang Shujie, Wen Keying, Fu Yingxia, Wang Shupei, and Mao Fulian.
Detained in Wang Village Forced Labor Camp, Zibo City: Yang Wenjie, Xia Meifen, Zhang Yucui, Wang Cuihua, Xu Qing, Su Yu, Liu Jinpeng, and Wen Yulin.
3. The following Falun Gong practitioners have become homeless for fear of being persecuted:
Zhang Shuchun, Wang Haohong, Teng Yingfen, Du Hongxia, Zhang Mingqing, Fu Caixia, Lin Kuimei, Zhang Zhikui, Liu Yaohua.
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Zhongzhen was from Huaining County, Anqing City of Anhui Province. On December 25, 2005, 610 Office agents from Anqing City, accompanied by those from the Huaining County Police Department, arrested her. After suffering from tortures for three days he became extremely weak. He passed away a few days after returning home. Zhang Zhongzhen was the former deputy assistant for the Anqing City Falun Gong Assistant Center.
Ms. Li Jiyun, 69, lived in Fenxi County of Shanxi Province. She started practicing Falun Gong in 1994. Her home was always a practice site. After the persecution of Falun Gong started in 1999, as she was persistent in practicing Falun Gong, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents detained her for a cumulative total of over two years. These freedom deprivations occurred on July 20, 1999, December 1999, February 2000 and October 2000. In December 2004, she was illegally arrested again and detained five times by the lawless local people, and was sent for one year of forced labor. The persecutors extorted money from her family. Over the past seven years, local criminals kept harassing and threatening her. She suffered from severe mental trauma, especially during her month-long unlawful detention in December 2004. Her mental endurance reached the extreme limit, and she was very much afraid of being persecuted again. She passed away on April 21, 2006, soon after she heard that the evil would further escalate the persecution.
Ms. Liu Fuqin, 66, was a resident of Mulan County, Heilongjiang Province. She had several illnesses before she practiced Falun Gong, all of which disappeared after she started to practice in January 1996. On April 15, 2000 she went to Beijing to appeal. Local police detained her at the police station. After staging a hunger strike for twenty days to resist the persecution she left, but the police extorted 3,000 yuan from her. In December 2000 she went again to Beijing to appeal. Police from Qinhuangdao City arrested her and then sent her to forced labor for one year. As she was seriously ill and the forced labor camp had refused to accept her, people from a local custody center further detained for over three months. This brought her to the brink of death. She was not released until paying an extortion sum of 1,000 yuan as a "guarantee deposit." After she was sent back home, her illnesses recurred due to the persecution and she passed away on March 18, 2006.
Mr. Zhu Changsheng, 56, was a an employee from the Road Construction Machinery Factory in the Decheng District, Dezhou City, Shandong Province. He has suffered from the persecution since July 20, 1999. The evildoing people from the CCP harassed and threatened him many times, causing him and his family tremendous trauma. He had a sudden heart attack on May 15, 2006 and passed away.
Mr. Cao Wenhai, 56, was an employee in the Road Management Center of Suileng County, Heilongjiang Province. He started to practice Falun Gong in 1998, and his serious illnesses vanished. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, he was harassed and persecuted by lawless people from his work unit and from others. Under the pressure his illnesses recurred and he passed away in summer 2005.
Mr. Li Qinghua, 77, was from Nanyang City in Henan Province. Soon after he started practicing Falun Gong in 1996, all of his illnesses vanished. After July 20, 1999, due to the cruel persecution, he suffered from mental and physical trauma. He could not study the Fa and practice the exercises normally. His old illnesses recurred and he passed away in April 2004.
Ms. Chen Shumin, 75, was from Nanyang City in Henan Province. She no longer had illness after starting to practice Falun Gong in 1996. After the persecution started in July 1999 she also went out to clarify the truth. She was afraid to study the Fa and practice the exercises as usual because of threats from the CCP and others who did not know the truth. As a result, she suffered a stroke and passed away in February 2006.

On the afternoon of March 20th 2006, three men and one woman broke into Pan Xiaomin's home at Tonghua City, Jilin Province, trying to arrest her without a search warrant. On the same day, the police arrested Ms. Pan, claiming a search warrant would be issued later. In the Dongchang Police Station, Ms. Pan was cruelly tortured. She was handcuffed above a cement surface with her feet tied up. Her hands were separately cuffed to the legs of two chairs, mouth stuffed with a towel, and head covered with a black plastic bag. Then the policemen put on plastic gloves and shocked the soles of her feet with high-voltage electric batons. Ms. Pan's whole body was paralyzed due to the long and continuous electric shocks. She could not feel anything physically though her heels had been burnt black, her left eye-socket cracked and lips busted. Ms. Pan was unlawfully sentenced to serve in a forced labor camp for 18 months. Now she is under further persecution at Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp at Changchun City, Jilin province.
