On March 31, 2007, a rally was held in Vancouver's Chinatown to support the twenty million Chinese people who have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Falun Gong practitioners, many public organizations, former members of Parliament (MP), human rights lawyers, and writers participated in the rally. Some figures who could not attend sent support letters to the rally.

The rally was magnificent, and the righteous atmosphere of “Heaven destructs the CCP and its final day is coming” permeated Chinatown.
Susan of the Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP, Vancouver branch especially mentioned in her speech that since the CCP’s crime of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners was exposed and confirmed by Canadian independent investigation reports, the unprecedented evil has shocked people. People recognize the CCP’s nature of violence and evil. The number of people quitting the CCP has increased from 20,000-30,000 to 30,000-40,000 each day, and over one million every month.
Renowned Chinese lawyer Guo Guoding said in his speech, “The history of several dozen years shows that the CCP is a totalitarian and violent regime. From the anti-rightist movement to the persecution of Falun Gong, and the imprisonment of human rights lawyer Gao Zhisheng and Guo Feixing, the CCP has persecuted and killed people for many years. In China, human rights lawyers do not have human rights. How is it possible that the general public has human rights?”
Simma Holt, former Member of the Canadian House of Commons and Member of the Order of Canada, Fred Muzin, president of the Hospital Employees' Union in British Columbia, Annia and Burnad, businessmen who immigrated from Poland and suffered there from the controlling communist party, and Liang Song, a freelance writer, gave speeches and congratulated those who quit the CCP. They said that those who have quit the CCP represent China’s biggest future asset.
All speakers strongly condemned the CCP’s persecution of people, especially Falun Gong. Fred Muzin said that for several years everything that Falun Gong practitioners have told us is true. He represented 42,000 hospital employees and supported the protest.
Canadian MP Bill Siksay and Penny Priddy sent congratulatory letters to the rally.
MP Bill Siksay wrote that Chinese people face big challenges in getting their basic rights. Many are suffering persecution, especially Falun Gong practitioners. The Canadian government should take action. He supports the call for an end of the persecution of Falun Gong.
In watching the rally, four or five Chinese people had a strong debate in crowds. One middle-aged and one senior-aged man explained the facts to those who made negative comments toward Falun Gong at the rally.
The senior-aged man said, “I come from Beijing and was an official for several dozen years. I know the CCP very well. Falun Gong practitioners cannot speak out in China. If they speak out, they will be arrested and imprisoned. The CCP staged the self-immolation to slander Falun Gong. It is obviously staged. The burn injuries of a patient shown on television were completely wrapped. Another player was severely injured by burning, but the bottle of gasoline between his thighs was intact. The CCP makes many attempts to deceive people. The CCP media reported that Falun Gong practitioners surrounded the CCP compound during the “April 25” appeal. Actually, police purposefully led them to stand near the CCP compound. When the practitioners left, the ground was clean and even the policemen's cigarette butts were picked up.”
He said that all the information was available and he became clear after reading the truth-clarification materials.
Another middle-aged man was persecuted by the CCP and knows well the CCP brutality. He was very happy to see that twenty million have quit the CCP.
During weekends, Chinese people usually go shopping in
Chinatown. Many people there listened quietly and started to think. One
practitioner said that Chinese peoples' attitudes are obviously
changing.
