Mr. Liu Qingying was arrested when she did shopping in a market. Without notifying her family, CCP authorities sentenced her two years of forced labor on October 30, 2008.

Ms. Liu Qingying from Kaifeng City Sentenced to Forced Labor

Ms. Liu Qingying is in her 60s, a Falun Gong practitioner from Kaifeng City, Henan Province. On October 13, 2008, after breakfast, she went to a nearby market to do some shopping. Liu Yuejin, an agent with the State Security Bureau and the Domestic Security Team in Kaifeng City , led a group of people to arrest her. They took her to Songmen Police Station, and then sent her to a detention center in Beijiao for a ten-day detention.

During the time that she was illegally detained, Ms. Liu's family did not know where she was. It wasn't until October 22 that the authorities of the Shunhe Police Department delivered two notices of detention to her family. At that time, Ms. Liu had been transferred to the Kaifeng County Detention Center.

On October 30, 2008, agents of the Chinese Communist regime sentenced Ms. Liu to two years of forced labor without notifying her family. She was then sent to the Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor Camp in Henan Province.

The authorities at the forced labor camp are severely pressuring Ms. Liu to be "reformed". She is locked in a small cell from morning till 10:00 p.m. every day. The guards threaten her, saying that if she refuses to give up her belief, they will send her to Xinxiang where she will be subjected to more severe persecution.
