Wuhan City Police Detains Teachers, Parents and Children
On February 11, 2008, a group of parents, children and teachers were holding a "winter study camp" activity at Chailin Hotel in Yujiatou Community, Wuchang District, Wuhan City. The focus of their activity was to study the principle of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance and how to apply the principle in daily life in order to be a good person. In the afternoon, more than 10 police officers from the first Division of Wuhan Police Department led by Division Chief Lu, barged into Room 906 of the hotel and illegally detained teachers Ms. Chen Man, Ms. Xiong Yingzhi, a dozen or so children and some of the parents.
The police videotaped the children and the parents. A dozen or so children were isolated from their parents and the police shouted at the children whose parents were not present. The children were threatened and tricked into telling the police details about their parents and other children. Many children were so frightened that they cried. Most of the parents and children revealed their addresses or were recognized by the police. Elementary student Li Feiyang did not give out his parent's name, but told the police his school - Huapo Road Elementary School. Only when relatives objected strongly were the children allowed to return home.
That day the police arrested five Falun Gong practitioners. Among them, Ms. Chen Man and Ms. Xiong Yingzhi were detained; the three other practitioners were released from the local police station the same day.
On the morning of February 19, 2008, the police from the First Division of Wuhan Police Department used the excuse of holding a parents meeting for the freshman classes at Huapo Road Elementary School, to deceive Li Feiyang's mother into coming to the school. She was then forcibly taken to Yangyuan Community Brainwashing Center in Wuchang District, Wuhan City.
On February 19, a group of policeman rushed into Ms. Hu Huifang's home in Qingshan District and arrested her.
On the evening of February 20, 2008, large numbers of 610 Office personnel were closely monitoring Ms. Liu Hong's home in Shishang Xindu Neighborhood in an attempt to arrest her and her son, Shi Xiu. Ms. Liu Hong's husband, Shi Lei, was sentenced to 11 years of imprisonment in 2003 by Wuhan City 610 Office, which conspired with Wuhan Municipal Intermediate Court of the Chinese Communist Party. Mr. Shi is currently imprisoned at Shayang Farm.
Ms. Chen Man and Ms. Xiong Yingzhi are detained in Dongxihu District. Li Feiyang's mother is imprisoned at Yangyuan Community Brainwashing Center. Ms. Hu Huifang is imprisoned at an unknown location.
Beijing Police Arrests Falun Gong
Practitioners "So That the Olympic Games Can Proceed Smoothly"
The Olympic Games will be held in Beijing this year. The CCP has already started to illegally arrest Falun Gong practitioners en masse in the various districts and townships of Beijing. They claim that this is necessary for the Olympic Games to proceed smoothly.
Ms. Li Yuejin was an employee of the Wenquan Township Aerial Material Institute in the Haidian District. She was laid off several years ago because she practices Falun Gong. On February 19, 2008, about a dozen officers from Wenquan Township Police Station in Haidian District, Beijing City surrounded her home. It was said that police from the Haidian Police Department also participated. At that time, a five- or six-year-old child was also at home.
Ms. Li Yuejin did not open the door. The policemen tried to pry the door open. After they failed, they got an employee of a lock company to open the door. While this was happening, Ms. Li dialed "110" to report the incident to the police. However, when the "110" police learned she was a Falun Gong practitioner, they told her that she had to open the door.
The police forcibly entered Ms. Li Yuejin's home and searched it several times, but they did not find the "evidence" they wanted. They examined the computer in her home several times. The police said that the computer had software that could wipe out evidence of surfing the Internet, so they had to take away the computer away to be examined. After they took away Ms. Li Yuejin and her computer, the police informed her family that the computer contained information about Falun Gong. However, Ms. Li's family knows she does not know how to use the computer.
Ms. Li Yuejin is detained but her whereabouts are unknown. Her young child misses her and cries every day. Her elderly parents are so scared and anxious that they have spent their days in tears.
