Jiujiang City "610 Office" Agents Arrest 20 Falun Gong Practitioners in Jiangxi Province
CCP agents from Jiujiang Domestic Security Team, the CCP Political and Judiciary Committee, and the 610 Office recently commenced another round of persecution and suppression of Falun Gong under the pretext of "Olympic Safety" and "Harmonious Society." Besides sending citizens "public letters" via cell phone text message to emphasize the "urgency" of this campaign, they hired more than one thousand local security men--mostly jobless and retired people--to monitor, harass and arrest practitioners, in complete violation of the Chinese constitution.
So far, twenty practitioners have been arrested. They are: Zhou Meili, Lin Koulan, Zhang Daidi (all sentenced to forced labor), Chen Qing, Chen Qi, Yang Jinfen, Yang Yingping, Zhang Lihong, Wang Chunmei (Wang is now at the Majialong Forced Labor Camp), Wu Tenpeng, Gui Baihua, Lu Zhengxiang, Wang Shifan, Huang Kuanfa, Zhong Xiangwei, Wang Yuelan, Bai Hongjun, Liu Yizhi, Xiong Maofen (missing). Mr. Huang, employed at Jiujiang Third Textile Mill, was also arrested.
The agents intruded into a resident's home. One day in early April, the neighborhood committee head at the Ninth Textile Mill, accompanied by the Guanpaijia Police, broke into practitioner Lu Qingxiu's home at the 4th Building of the 9th Textile Mill. They took her Falun Gong books and other personal belongings. On April 18, they again broke into Lu Qingxiu's home with a master key. That same day, they invaded practitioner Tan Zhenghua's home with a master key and took all his Falun Gong books.
Around nine o'clock on April 28, 2008, Xunyang Domestic Security Team head Li Ming took policemen Kong Jiang and others and broke into Bai Hongjun's home at Jinjipo and took him away. Four police officers beat Ba to the ground and bound him tightly with rope. They also arrested practitioner Liu Yizhi, who happened to be visiting Bai. The persecutors eventually confiscated Bai's several computers and truth-clarifying materials. Since July 20, 1999, Bai Hongjun has been arrested several times and held against his will in a mental hospital.
At 7:00 a.m. on April 29, 2008, police went to exiled practitioner Zhu Shengli's rented home and seized Zhu's wife as hostage when they couldn't find him. Jiujiang County Domestic Security Department head Wei Qiang and another policeman then ransacked the home, seizing all Falun Gong books. It is believed that this was done under pressure from the supervisor of Jiujiang Police Department. Bai
Hongjun and Liu Zhiyi are now being held at Jiujiang Detention Center.
