Within two weeks after Ms. Li Feng was arrested, she is covered with scars all over her body as a result of tortures by police. Her sister, a sixty-year old woman, was beaten by the local police when she asked for Ms. Li's release.

Ms. Li Feng Tortured at Xifeng Detention Center in Qingyang City, Gansu Province

On the morning of April, 3, 2008, when Ms. Li Feng and Ms. Qi Huirong were at home, they were arrested by over ten police officers from Northstreet Station and Xifeng District Branch in Qingyang City. The police also went to Ms. Li Feng's hometown and forced her husband to sign paperwork. They claimed that Ms. Li was arrested when she was distributing materials about Falun Gong.

Having been tortured in Xifeng District Detention Center for a long period, Ms. Li Feng is covered with scars all over her body. Police officers beat Ms. Li's mouth which became swollen. With teeth hurt and fell out, she could not eat. The police also lie about Ms. Li going on a hunger strike. They declared that, "It is not a big deal to beat Falun Gong practitioners to death. Instead of punishing us, the superior level will encourage us with bonus."

Ms. Li Feng was tortured in this manner within two weeks after she was taken to the detention center. Her sister is in her sixties and worried about Ms. Li Feng's health. When she went to the local Northstreet Police Station to ask for Ms. Li Feng's release, she was brutally beaten by the chief of the police station and three or four other police officers.
