Ms. Liu Hefang Tortured at Shimahe Women's Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing City

Ms. Liu Hefang, a Falun Gong practitioner who worked at Jialing Factory in Shapingba District, Chongqing, has been jailed at the Shimahe Women's Forced Labor Camp in Jiangbei District since September 18, 2009. During the last two months Ms. Liu went on a hunger strike in protest of the persecution. She was brutally force-fed many times by the police, causing the food they forced down into her stomach to burst out from her mouth.

In prison, Ms. Liu often tells people, "Falun Dafa is good!" Because she continuously clarified the truth about Falun Gong to the drug addicts. The guards became scared and tortured her using all kinds of cruel methods. Facing such torture, Ms. Liu didn't give up. Therefore the guards put Ms. Liu into a small cell.

Ms. Liu is still being held in the small cell. Her body is very weak due to long-term abuse. She needs others to hold her when she uses the restroom, and she cannot manage her daily life.

At 7:30 p.m. on August 18, Liu Xueru, head of Zhanjiaxi Police Station in Shaba District, Chongqing, along with over twenty police officers, arrested Nine Falun Gong practitioners, when they were taking a break in front of the Cultural Building of Jialing Factory, a leisure place for the employees. Ms. Yang Hongying, Ms. Liu Hefang and Ms. Li Guilan were detained at Baihelin Detention Center for fifteen days. Then the police directly sent to the Shaba Women's Forced Labor Camp for one year of forced labor.
