Domesticl Security Agents in Shuangcheng City Arrest Mr. Jia Shuangyou and His
Wife
Mr. Jia Shuangyou and his wife have been arrested and detained several
times since the persecution of Falun Gong started in 1999. Their
daughter passed away in terror. On January 16, 2009, the couple was
abducted again by the police.
Falun Gong Practitioners Abused in Mental Hospital in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi

Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Jiang Xiaoying and Ms. Wang Ying have
been detained and treated as mental patients by the CCP agents in
Jiujiang City for long periods. Both of them have been forced to
divorce their spouses.

Around 7 p.m. on January 16, 2009, Dong Huiqun from the Domesticl Security
Team in Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province, and Jiang
Hongwei from the
610 Office, together with four or five other police officers, broke into
the home of Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Jia Shuangyou and
illegally arrested him and his wife, Jiang Xiuzhen. They were not given
a chance to ask questions or even grab an overcoat. The couple even lost the
slippers they were wearing in all the uproar.
The police dragged them to the police car. They then ransacked the
couple's home, taking their computer, printer, some personal items, and
twenty thousand
yuan. The couple have been detained in Shuangcheng City Police
Department
ever since.
Mr. Jia and Ms. Jiang are both around 50 years old. They lived just
outside North Gate of Shuangcheng City. They were frail and had many
illnesses before they began to cultivate. Ms. Jiang had chronic bronchitis,
a rather prevalent illness in Northeastern China. She had a hard time
breathing in the winter and had been suffering from this all her life. When
she began to cultivate, like a miracle, the illness disappeared. She no
longer coughed or wheezed. Witnessing this, both her husband and daughter
began to cultivate.
Since the Chinese Communist Party began its persecution of Falun Gong in
1999, the couple have been arrested and detained several times. Once Ms.
Jiang was jailed in Wanjia Women's Forced Labor Camp and Mr. Jia in
Changlinzi Men's Forced Labor Camp at the same time, leaving their teenage
daughter on her own. Missing her parents, along with all the terror she
faced, she developed chronic depression, became very sickly, and suffered
from many illnesses. She passed away on December 11, 2004, at the age of 22.

The 5th People's Hospital in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, is a mental
hospital in Jiujiang City. Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Jiang Xiaoying and Ms. Wang Ying have been detained at the hospital and treated as mental patients by the CCP
agents for long periods. Both of them have
been forced to divorce their spouses.
Ms. Jiang is over 50 years old. She is a nurse at the 5th Hospital. Because
she would not renounce her belief in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance, her employer
and the Jiujiang City

Office, conspired to send her to a forced labor camp. After her term at the
labor camp ended, the director of the hospital imprisoned her in the No. 2
Section in the hospital. While she was there, she was tied down and injected
against her will with drugs that damage the nervous system. The director
instigated other patients to attack and isolate her. For several years, she
wasn't allowed to see any of her family members. Ms. Jiang asked to be released
many times, but a staff member in the health safety department, surnamed, He
threatened to send her back to the labor camp if she continued to speak out.
Ms. Jiang's brother requested ten days of vacation from the hospital for Ms.
Jiang on January 22, 2009, in order to take her home to Duchang County for the
Chinese New Year. He was forced to guarantee in writing that he would bring her
back to the hospital after ten days.
Ms. Wang Ying is middle-aged. She is employed at Jiujiang City Civil
Administration Bureau. She was taken to a forced labor camp because she
practices Falun Gong. When her term ended, her employer tried to force her to
accept a lump sum payment and retire early. When Ms. Wang refused, her manager,
surnamed Long, forced her into the 5th People's Hospital. The manager claimed
that if she agreed to the lump sum payment, they would immediately go to the
hospital to seek her release.
On January 21, 2009, Ms. Wang's ex-husband, Xu Zenghan, went to the hospital
to request her release. The head of the health safety department turned him
down. Xu Zenghan told the official that hospitals cannot detain people. If Ms.
Wang was not released, he said he would sue the hospital. The official told him
that Ms. Wang was not being detained at the hospital, rather, she was being
hospitalized. If her employer could pay the medical fees (over 4,000
yuan),
then they would release her. Afterwards, Manager Long at Ms. Wang's place of
employment, the city's Civil Administration Bureau, agreed to pay the fees.
On the afternoon of January 22, 2009, when Ms. Wang's son and his aunt went
to the hospital to take Ms. Wang home for the Chinese New Year, the health
safety department head said that Ms. Wang's employer had taken her to the
hospital. The manager had to sign the release form and take Ms. Wang away
personally. The head said that the 610 Office had told hospital officials
numerous times that they could not release her casually, because Ms. Wang
practiced Falun Gong.
On the morning of January 23, 2009, Ms. Wang's son and his aunt went to the
Civil Administration Bureau. The staff person responsible said that they had
already paid the hospital fees and whether the hospital releases the person or
not was not their business.
