Despite the persecution, some people have begun the practice of  Falun Gong in China since 1999. Ms. Lin Shuling did so and experienced great health and other benefits. Now she has been arrested and detained and her family cannot find out her location.

The 610 office proudly displays materials it has confiscated from peaceful Falan Falun Gong practitioner's homes. Considering that the practice has been persecuted for ten years, there seem to be a lot of materials.

Regaining Health by Practicing Falun Gong, then Arrested by Police

On April 29, 2009 Ms. Lin Shuling, a Falun Gong practitioner from Anqiu City in Shandong Province, was arrested by officers from the Anqiu City Police Department at her home. She is now in the Anqiu City Detention Center. After Ms. Li started practicing Falun Gong in 2005, her cancer was cured. Police officers who took part in the arrest terrified her by claiming, "Practicing Falun Gong is a crime. The Chinese Communist Party does not want you to practice. If you keep practicing, you are violating the CCP's directives."

Ms. Lin, 37 years old, is a resident of Sanli Village in Anqiu Township, Weifang City. Her sister began to practice Falun Gong and tried to talk to Ms. Lin into practicing as well. At that time, Ms. Lin said, "I don't want to practice. Whoever feels like practicing, go ahead. I don't believe in anything but money."

On December 16, 2004, Ms. Lin gave birth to her second daughter. At that time she was in great pain from an undiagnosed condition. Her lower abdomen was swollen and she lacked energy. The doctor's said it was the shifting of her uterus. She tried different kinds of medical treatments, but nothing helped. Her situation deteriorated. Then she was diagnosed with uterine cancer. In great pain, Ms. Lin wanted to end her life.

When she was desperate, her sister brought her the recordings of Master Li's lectures. Her sister told her, "Only Falun Gong can save you." Ms. Lin mumbled, "As long as my illness can be healed, as long as I live with a little bit less suffering, I don't care what you want me to believe, I've had enough."

With Falun Gong her last hope, Ms. Lin began to practice Falun Gong in the spring of 2005. By listening to Master Li's lectures, she understood that Falun Gong teaches people to be good, not to fight over fame and profit, not to fight with others over profits, to think of others, and to look within. She also came to understand that her illness was a result of her selfishness and jealousy.

Through the improvement of her mind-nature, miracles happened. Her health improved, her pain became less, and she could eat and sleep well. Now she is very healthy. She feels wonderful, and she and her husband are truly grateful to Falun Gong.

At 9:30 on April 29, 2009, Li Shenghua and other officers from Anqiu City Police Department broke into her home. They ransacked it, including her garage. They confiscated Falun Gong books and other items. At around 10 a.m., two police vehicles were dispatched by officials from the Chengguan Police Station. Quite a few officers broke into her home, which attracted many bystanders. According to Ms. Lin's neighbor, Ms. Lin's husband was then at work. The police told him to come home.  They tried to scare him, saying, "Did you know that your wife practicing Falun Gong is a crime? The CCP does not allow you to practice Falun Gong. As long as you practice it, you are against the CCP. Who comes to your home? You have to tell us the truth. If not, you will be arrested, too." Her husband said, "My wife did not commit any crime. The reason why she began to practice Falun Gong was because she was sick. It was Falun Gong that allowed her to live. Now she can take care of the children and take care of our home. Why are you arresting me? First of all, I don't practice Falun Gong. Secondly, I did not commit any crime. Why do you want to arrest me? As to who often comes to our home, well, we have so many relatives and friends, whoever comes is welcome here. My wife can go to their homes whenever she feels like it. We are free to do that." Just then, their four-year-old daughter, in tears, said, "My mom's illness got healed because of practicing Falun Gong."

Ms. Lin was detained separately and interrogated. She clarified the truth to the police officers and told them how Falun Gong had cured her illness and how Falun Gong teaches people to follow Truth-Compassion-Forbearance and be good. Hearing this, one police officer even said, "The CCP only teaches people to follow 'truth, compassion, and beauty.' Whoever follows Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is against the CCP!"

After the police illegally arrested Ms. Lin, her husband has to take care of their young daughter. He has tried to locate his wife, but the police refused to tell him where she is detained.

Evidence of Criminal Ransacking by Baoding City 610 Office (Photos)

At the end of April 2009, the Crime Prevention Office of Baoding City, Hebei Province (formerly the "610 Office"), confiscated materials and equipment from the homes of Falun Gong practitioners. The Baoding City Museum exhibited these illegally-taken items, included Falun Gong books, truth-clarification materials, computers, TVs, printers, DVD writers, radios, and satellite dishes. Images slandering Falun Gong were also displayed in the museum.

The exhibition is organized by law enforcement agencies, several companies, the Liaison Offices of several counties, cities and townships, and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) secretary of neighborhood committees.

Below are some of the items that were ransacked from Falun Gong practitioners' homes and displayed in the exhibition, clear evidence of criminal activity on the part of the "Crime Prevention Office."
