A Brief List of the Persecution Cases in Guan County, Shandong Province in June 2009
The following is a brief record of the persecution cases committed by 610 Office in Guan County, Shandong Province in June 2009.
Around June 5, Liaocheng City Intermediate Court rejected the appeals filed by Falun Gong practitioners Wang Hongchao, Cui Yuezhi, and Zhang Qiaohuan. This court decided to uphold the original eight-year sentences handed down by Guan County Court for each of them. They were subsequently transferred from the 610 Office to the forced labor camp in Jinan City.
On June 10, a key government official of Guan County along with Xu Shuman, chairman of the city's People Political Consultative Conference, went to inspect the cable TV issues in villages. In fact, they supervised the confiscation of ground satellite receiving antennas in order to stop civilians from watching overseas programs.
On June 16, the County 610 Office gathered representatives from all of the lower level 610 Offices to intensify the policy made by the upper level of the 610 Office to arrest those of whom they were suspicious.
When Some people asked Han Jinfang, the local CCP Political and Judiciary Committee secretary and Ren Guangmin, the 610 Office head why they were so wicked against Falun Gong Group, they replied that it was for the 60th anniversary of CCP's control of China, the 11th National Games, and the ruling of Chinese Communist regime.
On the morning of June 12, as the CCP officials were busy with promoting their persecution of Falun Gong at Guanzhou Hotel, Mr. Li Ruyao's wife from Lilu Village, Guancheng Town, who was in her ninth month of pregnancy, was abducted by more than twenty people from the township hall. They forcibly dragged her to the Maternal and Pediatric Health Center for a forced abortion. Six or seven muscular men held her down on a bed and injected the medicine for induction. She attempted with all her might to break loose but to no avail. One hour later, both the mother and the unborn infant were killed there. As a result, more than a dozen of journalists from different medium tried to investigate the tragedy. Therefore, Hong Yuzhen, the CCP secretary in Guan County, issued a deadly order that they would go to all lengths to stop Li's family members from talking to the reporters. All the local police were dispatched to arrest and kill anyone who dared any attempt.
On the evening of June 19, Guan County TV station broadcast the news of "political achievement" exhibit held on June 12 and the signatures collected in Guan County that "supported" the persecution of Falun Gong.
On June 22, a Falun Gong practitioner from the Scientific Association of Guan County, Du Yunzhu, died after suffering from long-term torture.
On the afternoon of June 26, the 610 Office held another meeting at Guanzhou Hotel Conference Room 1. Ren Guangmin, along with Ma Wenchang, the head of the brainwashing center, Shi Xuezeng, the deputy head of the 610 Office, Xue Lianchun, the deputy police political commissar designed plans against 128 Falun Gong practitioners. They decided that they would strictly follow the "four clipping one" policy with those practitioners on the black list. They claimed plainclothes agents from the central 610 Office would soon make unannounced visits to Guan County, so they should make sure that that no truth clarifying materials by Falun Gong were seen anywhere again. Once it happened again, the official in charge of the area would be punished.
From January to June 30, 2009, dozens of Falun Gong practitioners were arrested. Six of them were sentenced to forced labor; three others were sentenced to prison terms; one was tortured to death.
