Ms. Wang Yujie and a companion were arrested in March 2010. Ms Wang's mother Chen Ye subsequently disappeared while trying to locate her.
Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Wang Yujie and Ms. Ma Yuanxin, from Wuhan City, Hubei Province, went to Hanzheng Street at around 9:00 pm on March 11, 2010. They were arrested by Bao Peiru from Manchun Police Station in Jianghan District, Wuhan City. The two practitioners were taken to the 1st Detention Station and detained for 15 days. On March 26, the 610 Office in Jianhan District, along with the police station, secretly transferred Wang Yujie and Ma Yuanxin to Erdaopeng Brainwashing Center in Jianhan District.
When Ms. Chen Ye, Wang Yujie's mother, went to the police station and asked about her daughter, the police claimed that she was at the brainwashing center. Ms. Chen then visited the brainwashing center and was told that her daughter was not there, but was being held at the 1st Detention Station of Wuhan City. Chen Ye then went to the detention station in Wuhan where the personnel again claimed that her daughter wasn't there and that she was at another location. Chen Ye tried for several days but was unable to determine the whereabouts of her daughter. Then, after March 17, Chen Ye hadn't returned home and there was no news about her. It is presumed that she was also arrested and detained.
It was heard that Ma Yuanxin had severe nosebleeds in the brainwashing center and her life was in danger. Liujiaoting Police Station and the local 610 Office sentenced the two practitioners to one-year of forced labor. They were then taken to Hewan Forced Labor Camp. The labor camp refused to accept them, but the 610 Office and Liujiaoting Police Station then forced the labor camp to detain them.
Baop Peiru, an officer from Manchun Police Station in Jianghan District, Wuhan City directly participated in the persecution of Wang Yujie and Ma Yuanxin.
