Case Description:
Ms. Luo Zhaoxiu, 76, from Xingou Village, Hucheng Township, filed a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin on June 26, 2015. She was harassed at home by county, township, and village officials for an extended period of time. Ms. Luo’s grandson, Chen Dong, is an auxiliary police officer at the Chengxi Police Station in Huarong County. Her son and daughter-in-law were afraid that their son would lose his job and strongly opposed her practicing Falun Gong. Her son smashed and destroyed her electric bicycle and did not allow her to go out. When he saw her reading a Falun Gong book, he would grab it and tear it up. Seeing that she had not given up practicing Falun Gong, her son cut off the electricity at her home this year. Ms. Luo had to go live with her daughter. She passed away in March 2022.
