Three Dafa practitioners, teachers from Xinjiang, were arrested in Beijing last July when they went to appeal for Dafa. Local policemen from Xinjiang flew to Beijing in order to bring these practitioners back, and the practitioners were forced to pay for the plane tickets.
After arriving in Xinjiang, the three practitioners were sent to a mental hospital where they were mistreated in various ways. They were tied to their beds, forced to take medication, and had other extremely harmful medications injected into their bodies. In order to stop practitioners from struggling when they were tied up, the doctors put electrodes on their ears and shocked them with electricity. These three practitioners were tortured until they were half-dead and they all suffered extreme pain, yet each of them maintained the attitude of a cultivator at all times.
Because one practitioner refused to take the medication, the doctors used an iron bar to pry her mouth open. When the practitioner bent the iron bar with her teeth, the doctors tried to force a tube into her nostril. She struggled with all her strength, and recited Teacher's scriptures and poems from Hong Yin (A Collection of Poems). Her nostril started bleeding and she lost a lot of blood. The doctors injected powerful sedatives into her body. These sedatives would make an average person sleep for days but they had virtually no effect on her. Isn't this the power of Dafa?
This practitioner had a firm belief in Dafa, and even under such a difficult environment she treated everyone around her with great compassion and forbearance. She helped take care of a seriously ill patient for more than a month, helping her get dressed, eat, and even go to the bathroom. She introduced Dafa to the people around her and validated the Fa with her pure, compassionate heart. In order to prove that she was a completely normal and sane person, she participated in a cultural show held by the hospital. She sang, danced, and even played a musical instrument. This was clearly a normal person with many talents, not a mentally disordered patient.
Her deeds even moved the hospital directors. One of the directors asked her: "Do you want to promote the Dafa?" She replied: "Of course." The manager then gave her a chance to speak during a meeting of all the hospital personnel, which more than 20 experts also participated. This was a very good opportunity for her to promote Dafa. This opportunity was obtained through her great suffering, which would have been impossible for the average person to bear. This practitioner was kept in the mental hospital for more than 50 days.
Another practitioner tried to use her life to resist the evil forces. After being tortured in many inhumane ways, she banged her head against an iron wall many times. When the doctors discovered her doing this, they forced a lot of sedatives into her mouth. When she did the same thing again, she was stopped and they kept alive. This practitioner was sent to the mental hospital twice in one month, yet after returning home, she always resumed her practice and Fa study. At home, however, unable to deal with pressures from the community, her husband has become very angry with her, and she has had to face more tribulations. The decisions of just a few wicked people in the government leadership have been able to cause extreme suffering -- both mental and physical -- to our practitioners.
The third practitioner went through similar tortures with great compassion and forbearance. She was detained in the mental hospital for more than a month, and released only when her father became critically ill.
All three practitioners were fired by the schools that employed them; and they no longer have any source of income.
