Clarifying the Truth to the World

At the recent Western US Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference, Teacher said, "(During this unprecedented tribulation,) every one of us is doing for Dafa things of Fa-rectification, Fa-spreading, and presenting the truth. We haven't been involved in political strugglesThis is because if the evil hadn't persecuted us, we wouldn't need to explain the truth to people whatsoever." Every political act is motivated by the performer's clearly defined political agenda. This has nothing in common with the clarifying of the truth by the Dafa practitioners, who have no political, financial or personal goals at all. All they demand are (i) restoration of dignity and honor to their cultivation practice and their esteemed teacher; (ii) releasing detained fellow practitioners; (iii) the legal right to publish Dafa materials; and (iv) an uninterrupted cultivation environment. Dafa practitioners inform the public of the truth only to the extent of the people and incidents involved in the evil suppression against the Dafa. Never do they show any interest in political issues related to the nation, society, and any country's governance. Nor are they even slightly concerned about any "hot-button" issues of interest to ordinary people. They stay away from those matters because as meaningful as they are to the ordinary people, they are totally irrelevant to cultivation. The current drive of clarifying the truth targets none other than Jiang Zemin, the chief representative of the evil force. This is not about politics either. In today's China, the rule of law allows no privileges to any citizen: he is only a public servant and one of the general public--however prominent his position might be or however powerful he is. Obviously, Jiang is no exception. Although he is the general secretary of the XX party and president of China, he still is an ordinary individual member among 60 million party members, and an ordinary citizen among 1.2 billion Chinese citizens. In violation of the Chinese laws and stubbornly going against the public interest, the evil force exemplified by Jiang is excessively persecuting Falun Dafa. It has committed a most shocking crime that has led to extremely serious consequences. "When being treated unfairly, people should be allowed to speak--this is a human being's fundamental right." (From "Teacher's recent speech at the Western US Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference") As members of the society and legal citizens of the country, the Dafa practitioners, in the face of a variety of persecution, have the rights and obligations--as bestowed upon them by the Chinese Constitution and laws--to stand up to expose the evil persecution and clarify the truth to the public. This also represents the allegiance of the Dafa practitioners in China to their homeland, as the clarifications will help the public come to understand the crimes committed by the wicked few, to stop the continuation of the evil, and to make the country return to normal. Throughout the clarification of the truth, Dafa practitioners amply demonstrate to the public their peacefulness and benevolence. Over-zealous speech and actions are not used. Nor does hitting back ever occur even when they are physically victimized. They harbor ill will against nobody when their homes are looted, their jobs taken away, and physical punishment are inflicted upon their bodies. This definitely is not something those ordinary people engaged in politics can do; in the present world, only the Dafa practitioners can show such nobleness. The evil force, however, is scared to death of the revelation of their brutality to the general public. It thus uses the groundless attack of "involving in politics" to keep the Dafa practitioners from clarifying the truth. They know their end is coming when their evil is fully exposed to the broad daylight--or when the general public gets to know the truth. The author believes, should any practitioner still have any misgivings on this point, it is high time for him to follow Teacher's advice and study the Fa more attentively. If he can truly understand the Fa within the Fa, seek within for causes of any problems, and be focused on improving his xinxing (the nature of the mind or the heart; moral character), he will be very clear about what to do--and will do a good job.
