Tears came to my eyes upon reading Teacher's words on Minghui. It also led me to do a lot of thinking, which I would like to share with fellow practitioners here. Please don't hesitate to correct my mistakes.
Teacher says, "On the path to Consummation, there will always be tests to see if a person believes in the Fa at his core. That's why during various time periods there will definitely be people leaping out; this even includes those who performed relatively well before."
This part was especially touching to me. Several days earlier, our previous assistant, then widely regarded as being most resolute and diligent, was released from a "re-education camp through labor" ("labor camp" hereafter). He tried to make appointments with practitioners right afterwards. We, however, had gotten the news before his release that he was "reformed"; he himself had also sent out letters from the labor camp that contained such nonsense as "You all have attained your Consummation. You should quit cultivation now and hand over the books..." I heard another person even called from the labor camp saying that the people in charge of their conversions were treating them really well. This individual had previously chosen to go to jail rather than handing over his Dafa books. He had also gone on hunger strike for 10 days to validate Dafa while in a brief detention. When he was sent to the labor camp, he, in the hopes of holding on to the last residue of human beings, deviated from Dafa and broke down under the attack of "sugar-coated" shells.
Perhaps the most frustrating case for me is none other than my elder sister, who was also my previous assistant. Earlier this year, our whole family traveled to Beijing for appeals. As it turned out, only she and I managed to overcome a myriad of difficulties and eventually reached the appeals office. Then, she was so determined, so pure... Now, she is in a labor camp--and she too wrote that type of letters.
Teacher says, "In this vicious persecution, they have already reached a dead end, and all of the ways and words they've used to reform our students are but gimmicks for fooling kids." The letters written by the reformed people are surprisingly similar as if they were from one person. The words in the letters are exactly like what Teacher points out, "As for what those so-called reformed ones have said, on the surface they aren't against Master, but in their heart of hearts they are persuading people to stop practicing and studying [the Fa]."
Those "reforms" coming out to sabotage our cultivations now are actually damaging Dafa. We shall distinguish them from the standpoint of Dafa, and draw a line between them and us. Meanwhile, we cannot afford to indulge them, giving them the free right to misguide those practitioners who are either muddle-headed or still respectful of them. Every genuine practitioner shall stand up and take initiatives to deter their interferences and damages--their evil will be suffocated when we deny them the market.
It is probable that some of those "reformed" were once our close fellow practitioners. What I enlighten to is that it is a big test of our "sentimentality." When it comes to setting aside human sentimentality, it is crucial that we keep up our righteous minds, and behave as a Dafa particle every minute. This will ensure we are at our best.
Some "reformed" in my area turned their color when they were sent to labor camps following their trips to Beijing. Before they went to Beijing, they had said that they must go to Beijing to attain Consummation. Doubts must be cast on the purity of their purpose of going to Beijing and whether they had the determination to safeguard and validate the Fa. It was likely that they were hampered by their own attachments--when they had found themselves victims to intolerable loneliness and bitter incarceration. They may have been able to pull through in an adverse environment; however, confused and tempted by the seemingly benevolent rhetoric of people responsible for their conversions, they fell like flies at a mere thought of coming back to humans. They were eventually misled by their own attachments that had been amplified by the evil.
Several days ago, I found a perforation in the shoes that I bought only half a year ago. I was surprised. Then, I enlightened to it: there are still omissions on my path to Consummation. Recalling the little bit I have done about clarifying the truth to the general public, I felt ashamed as it was so negligible compared with the stories of those truly diligent practitioners and those jailed and purest practitioners looking forward to the ultimate relief from agony.
Reading Teacher's "Eliminate Evil" also made me feel I was shouldering mighty responsibilities. I decided to set aside all that belong to humans in me, to let go of the attachment to Consummation and individual cultivation level, and to do everything with the aim of validating the Fa, and saving the people.
