Police Touched by Practitioners' Compassion

A few practitioners from Guang-han City of Si-chuan Province including Ms. Xu Yun-fang and Mr. Zhuang Jian have always treated the police officers with compassion and tell them the principles of Falun Dafa since they got arrested in last October when they were exchanging experience at the home of practitioner named Zhang Tian-long. The police officers treated them badly in the beginning. Later, they become touched by the kindness of these practitioners. Practitioners have started to learn, practice and teach Falun Gong in the detention center with dignity. The police officers and even the head of the detention center become respectful to them and no longer disturb them.

Practitioner Jiang Guo-zheng was detained for 15 days for protecting the arrested innocent practitioners in the Qiao-tou Park on February 20. After he was released, over 20 practitioners held an experience sharing conference at his home under the surveillance of plainclothes agents at the door.

2.[Beijing] Practitioners under Intense Surveillance

Before the Session of the People's Congress was held, almost all practitioners in Beijing had been questioned and warned by the officers from the street offices and police stations. The practitioners were required not to appeal and practice Falun Gong in public areas during the "Two Sessions". If a practitioner refused to do that, he/she would be closely monitored and forced to write a pledge that he/she would not go to appeal for Falun Gong and not practice Falun Gong in public areas etc.

The practitioners could not accept the facts that they were not allowed to go to appeal. Appealing is the constitutional right of every Chinese citizen.

The police took some practitioners who refused to write the pledge to the police station and worked on them day and night. Later, the police told them they would be allowed to go home even if they just verbally promised not to appeal. However, police officers would then go to practitioners' homes to monitor them everyday. The police officers would follow the practitioners whenever they went out including going to the market. A police officer told a practitioner, "I feel relieved upon seeing you. Otherwise, I would become nervous because I do not want you to go to appeal for Falun Gong again. If you go to appeal, my boss would punish me and I might lose my job etc..."

Therefore, these police officers worked very diligently although they knew well in their hearts that Falun Gong practitioners are all good people and it was unfair to treat them like that. But they said that they had to do their jobs assigned by the higher authorities.

Now it is the eighth day of the Session of the People's Congress. The police officers are still closely monitoring the practitioners. They have severely disturbed practitioners' normal lives. They are violating the law.

3. [Beijing] Practitioners Have Been Trying to Appeal to "Two Sessions"

During the "Two Sessions", practitioners from all over the country have been trying to report the truth of Falun Gong to all levels of governments and representatives of the "Two Session" through all kinds of channels, and appeal to them to return innocent to Falun Gong and its founder.

Beijing is still the focus although all levels of police officers were ordered to control its local practitioners well. Tiananmen Square, The people's Auditorium and the Standing Committee of the People's Congress are the focus of the focus. On one side, there are police officers and plainclothes agents; on the other side, there are sincere and honest Falun Gong practitioners attempting to report their opinions to the central authorities.
