Greetings to the Honorable Master Li and all,

I am a Toronto practitioner. Today I want to take this opportunity to share my experience in cultivation with you. Please correct me when I make mistakes in my speech.

Since April 25,1999, thanks to Master Li and his compassion, I started to think more and have more experiences in my cultivation. A lot of questions came to my mind, and I wondered once how and what to do under this totally new situation. I realized that I did not pay enough attention to the study of the law. Therefore, I spent lots of time to read over and over Master Li's works. After I gradually understood what was happening and what we should do, I started to overcome all kinds of difficulties to participate in spreading the law activities.

The large-scale group practice in front of the Parliament in Ottawa made people get a better understanding what Falun Dafa is. One MP volunteered to help us. On Nov 16,1999 he co-hosted a luncheon at parliament with Canadian practitioners. We went to Ottawa once again. This was my forth time going to Ottawa. I had to take my second day off with in a month. The company I work for is one of the largest mutual fund companies which is the best job I have had since I came to Canada in 1994. Many people are eager to get a position in such a big company. My colleagues told me that they do not dare to take offs even for their relatives' funeral. They didn't understand why I was enthusiastic in Falun Dafa. I gave my boss an Falun Dafa information package. My boss asked me whether my family members in China were persecuted. I said that was not the case. Why I did so was because I realized that how important the law is for a live. I don't want the Canadians to lose such a great opportunity to know so good a law. Although he still did not really understand the law, he showed his respect to me because of my firm belief. But I worked overtime on weekends to finish my work during my absence. I was praised by my boss and co-workers.

One day, my boss came to talk to me. He told me that when he first read the introduction of Falun Dafa, his impression was not very good. Now he changed his attitude because of me. Falun Gong is really a peaceful and beneficial teaching. Even he did not have time to practice then, but he allowed me to put China Falun Gong and Zhuan Falun in the office for others to borrow. Another day, when we were working in the office, there came a group of people outside my office. They shouted loudly and excitedly. My co-worker joked to me, "Are they from your group?" Before I answered his question, my boss said, " You can't say so. They are a very peaceful group." From then on, nobody has causally made negative comment on Falun Gong in the office.

Last December, four innocent practitioners were sentenced to jail in China. Toronto practitioners held a large-scale group practice in front of City Hall and unveiled the truth to mass media and society. It was Christmas season, and my boss read the news regarding Falun Gong from media and introduced Falun Gong to his relatives and friends. he also very concerned with those practitioners' future.

On the last day of 20th century, December 31st, 1999, I played Dafa music in my office. My co-workers said that this was the most beautiful music they had ever heard. My boss even came to turned the volume almost to the maximum, and the whole room was filled with the music. He said, " I don't mind that others say I love this music."

During the past year, I participated in many activities to spread the Law. I understood deeply that spreading the Law became an important part of my cultivation. Toronto practitioners took big bus to US and Ottawa to attend the experience sharing conferences and events to spread the Law. Every time, we introduced Falun Gong to the bus drivers and we usually gave them a copy of the book China Falun Gong as a gift. Our determination to the Law touched the bus drivers and has had impact on them. They gave us a lot of help and provide convenience and also showed their sympathy to Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Since last August, we started to contact with MP(member of parliament) and MPP(member of provincial parliament) and to introduce Falun Dafa. During this period of time, I understood that though they are the high officials in Canadian government, they are first of all humans. I should not treat them differently just because of their levels in the society. Many MPs and MPPs are very supportive. However, the contact with them was not very satisfied at the very beginning. After study of the law, I realized that I should treat it as part of my cultivation instead of everyday person's work. Things changed after I changed my mind. For example, I met a very influential MP not long ago. Our talk was very nice just like old friends. He gave us many very good suggestions on how to introduce Falun Gong to his colleagues and other people from various levels in the society. He wanted to take our materials with him as one of his holiday readings. When we stepped out of his office, we saw the taxi already waited there for a while.

Tests are still serious, and I have had hard time to pass some tribulations. Although I still have a lot of attachments, I am getting more and more mature. It seems that every cell in my body is melting into the Law. Luckily enough, we were born in such a special period of time when the great law is spreading in this world. Even more luckily, we have met Master Li. We must come out human's mentality and become great enlightened beings through cultivation. What I want to say today isn't how great I am. I just want to share my understanding how to get out of confusions and cultivate strive forward.
