Practitioners, through following the universal great law "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance," should open up the wisdom of ordinary human society and utilise, at will, any form conforming to the state of ordinary society to clarify the truth of Falun Gong to people around the world.
At present, we have entered a new stage of cultivation and rectification of Fa, which has very high and explicit requirements for practitioners of Falun Dafa -- "Prove the Fa with reason, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and offer people salvation with benevolence" (Teachers new article "Rationality" published on Aug.10, 2000). As practitioners, we must follow closely the process of Teachers Fa-rectification, since none of us can arrange the process of our cultivation ourselves. Only with the prerequisite of "Follow Teacher closely, steadfastly cultivating Dafa" can we keep our minds righteous during various tests, get over our tribulations, and improve our levels. On the contrary, if we cultivate according to our human thinking (which includes the "enlightenment" misinterpreted due to human emotions and attachment), it will be very difficult for us to see clearly the overall requirements of the entirety of process of Fa-rectification. Also, it will bring about damage to an individuals cultivation and the overall development of the Fa-rectification process if one is only concerned with his personal loss and gain related to his cultivation. In that case, we would surely lose the precious time for cultivation that Teacher has gained for us through his great efforts.
Weve had a definite navigation mark to "Follow Teacher closely, steadfastly cultivating Dafa," and that is the position of Minghui Net -- clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to people around the world. All activities, including facing the tests and improving our levels, should be embodied and fulfilled in the process of clarifying the truth. Teachers article published on July 20 clearly points out the requirements for us to go towards Consummation: "I also hope that in the future while clarifying the truth and appealing to the government practitioners will not in any way neglect the importance of studying the Fa."
The universal law cannot be clearly interpreted by the principles of the human world. The "truth" in ordinary human society may not necessarily conform to the universal qualities of "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance." Among humans, those who betrayed Buddha must have told the so-called "truth" to the demons. Yet, the so-called "truth" is just the most vicious words against "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance."
From July 20, 1999 till the time when Teachers article "Towards Consummation" was published, the malicious forces in human society have completely exposed their true colors. Yet, most staff in the governmental departments at all levels, who carry out the persecution of Dafa and Dafa practitioners under the control of those vicious forces, may not be demons themselves, but their behaviour is definitely a manifestation of demon-nature under the control of demons. We concern ourselves with facts and not with individuals when facing such persecution. Since its the evil forces, we wont give them any chance, and we will try to break free from their entanglement. Demons are also persecuting Dafa and Dafa practitioners by ways conforming to the state of ordinary human society. However, there are also corresponding forms to restrain evils in the human society. Thus, practitioners should clarify the truth about Falun Gong to people around the world by opening up the wisdom at the level of ordinary human society. We should make use of every possible means -- laws, disciplinary regulations, appeals and visits to the government, freedom of speech as stipulated by the Constitution, the system provided by the Peoples Congress, political consultation, united front, etc. In other words, we should make use of any reasonable and lawful means, but treat each case differently. We can adapt any form as long as they are peaceful and benevolent, as long as they can clarify the truth about Falun Gong, and as long as they can stop the demons from persecuting Dafa and Dafa practitioners.
Both Dafa and Dafa practitioners have always complied with regulations and abided by the laws, and they have never been against the Chinese government. This is an aspect of our cultivation that conforms to the state of ordinary human society. Similarly, we should also make full use of anything reasonable and lawful existing in the human society to safeguard Dafa, to prove Dafa, to enable more people to know the truth about Falun Gong, so that all sentient beings can be saved. The universal law creates everything in the human world. Although the human moral standards have been declining tremendously, some righteous elements still exist. At least, it [human society] is upholding justice on the surface. There still exists a breath of basic kind-heartedness left in human beings. Therefore, it is still possible that there is still some conscience left in human beings, except for those few malicious individuals. The purpose of "clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to people around the world" is to awaken the remaining righteous minds of humans. For those who cannot be awaken, they are given a last chance to place their own future positions in the universe. Although the universal law is benevolent and inclusive, the choice is left for humans to make.
In order to conform to this cosmic change of Fa-rectification in the human world, and to realize our pledge of "Assisting Teacher in the Human World," Dafa practitioners should fulfil our duty-bound mission by using ways and means complying with the ordinary human society. (These ways can be broken through and/or extended to some extent, but not to the extremes.) We should not "wait for" Consummation. Instead, we should advance "toward Consummation under the guidance of Zhuan Falun.
Everything we do should aim at clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to people around the world. In the process of doing this, the improvement of practitioners will be naturally achieved. We can no longer let our progress be obstructed by any human thinking and concepts. We should not lose our freedom casually (we should not use 'being arrested' as an excuse, instead we have to find ways to extricate ourselves from such a difficult situation). Every practitioner has become more precious in the process of clarifying the truth in the human world. Lets think about it. Under the present circumstances, who would be the happiest, if all Dafa practitioners were put into jail and lose their freedom? Wouldnt it be the few individuals who spare no effort to crackdown on Falun Gong?
As long as we can "clarify the truth about Falun Gong to people around the world," we can utilise, at will, the wisdom of everyday people. This is because practitioners true realm of thought lies in their hearts instead of the words they speak, especially the words they say to demons. Under no circumstances will we be controlled and made use of by demons to persecute Dafa practitioners and sabotage our normal cultivation environment. Some disciples, who had passed through the tribulation since July 20 last year and still steadfastly cultivate Dafa at present, have some worries. They are afraid that any improper action may negatively affect their cultivation process. Actually, Teacher has talked about this in his articles "Non-Omission" and "Expounding on the Fa." The side of his true/original nature should rise up to rectify the Fa when a practitioner faces long-term tribulations. Now that we have already been able to give up the attachment, we should then also give up the fear of an attachment itself: "Isnt abandonment without omission a higher sacrifice?" If we do not realize this point, it is quite possible to affect our cultivation and the process of improvement. Moreover, Teacher teaches us to "attain the righteous enlightenment of selflessness and altruism."
"Clarify the truth of Falun Gong to people around the world" is not as simple a sentence as it appears, because it is the requirement of the overall situation of Dafa. Besides the inner meaning that is currently beyond our imagination, every word we say and every material about the truth we hand out also have numerous inner meanings. It will play a great role in forming a material environment that accords with the requirements of "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance" in the microcosm of human society. Such a material environment is bound to influence human thinking and norms, and enable humans to be more and more sober in their minds. When the universal law descends all over the human world, this material environment will naturally dissolve in Dafa, and the sober-minded people will have their own future. Whats more, as practitioners, we must cultivate Shan (Benevolence). "To clarify the truth about Falun Gong to people around the world" is our duty-bound responsibility and indispensable requirement in cultivation. Disciples advancing towards consummation, your future world is filled with your benevolence, and you also have your own sentient beings in your world!
Besides, we should pay attention to the negative effect brought about by the attachment of having any intention in the process of "clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to people around the world." What we do may not be reflected on the surface or at the present time, since Dafa has its systematic arrangements. If we could "do it but with no purposeful pursuit," we can do everything well. We should "talk" not only to people around us, but also to all people from the cities to the countryside alike. Whatever we can do, well try to do. In the past, we were not afraid of "giving up what we had." Now, we should "use up all we have" to clarify the truth about Falun Gong to people around the world.
Our great Teacher has created the best for us, which can never be repaid enough. The present process of going towards Consummation and clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to people around the world is another precious opportunity Teacher has created for us through enduring a great deal. Let us "Follow Teacher closely, steadfastly cultivating Dafa" and strive forward with every effort until Consummation. We will never let the expectations of Teacher down!
