[Changchun City, Jilin Province] Dafa Disciple Zheng Wei's Life is in Great Peril
Zheng Wei is from Jilin City. She has been to Beijing four times to safeguard Dafa and has joined the current of Fa-rectification. On October 1 of last year, she was arrested for going to validate Dafa in Beijing. She was first kept in a Beijing detention center, and then transferred to the Heizuizi Labor Camp where she was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor reeducation. During that time, she was subjected to various forms of torture: being shocked for as long as three hours with electronic prods, not being allowed to sleep, being forced to do overly large amounts of work, etc. Her health severely deteriorated. On October 15 of 2001, the evils once again tried to force Zheng Wei to break with Dafa. She insisted in her belief and her righteous thoughts. Therefore, Guard Li of the 1st Team tortured her with every possible means. However, after several days of suffering, she strengthened her righteous thoughts and completely gave up her attachment to life and death. She would rather die than betray Teacher (Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa) or Dafa. When her family members went to visit her, Zheng Wei told them how she was persecuted there. Director Xue from the Preliminary Section, together with a gang of police, frantically drove out her family members, pushing them and beating them. At the time, Zheng Wei said firmly to her family members, "I'm not afraid. I've given up the attachment to life and death for a long time now. With the existence of Teacher and the Fa (the principles; the law of the universe), I'm afraid of nothing."
Zheng Wei is still being detained in the Heizuizi Labor Camp. Her life is in great danger. All people and governments of goodwill in the world, please express your support for Falun Dafa disciples.
[Changchun City, Jilin Province] The Criminal Deeds of the Heizuizi Labor Camp
In this special period of time when the evil runs rampant, the Heizuizi Labor Camp in Changchun City is a typical example of the crimes being committed. Over a thousand Dafa disciples are being illegally detained there. Among them, the youngest is only sixteen years old while the oldest is over seventy. They are detained, tortured, persecuted, shocked with electronic prods, deprived of sleep, and forced to stand day and night (the longest was 7 days straight) simply because they practice Falun Gong and want to become good people.
The guards of the labor camp put big signs on firm Dafa disciples, on which there were words like "Down with x x!" The 6th Team is a dark den of the evil forces. In the mental hospitals scores of Dafa disciples have suffered from extended periods of severe beating, electro-shock, and torture. Yet, the vicious guards called their actions "saving Dafa disciples."
[Changchun City, Jilin Province] Dafa Disciples in the Tiebei Detention House Are Firmly Cultivating in Dafa
On January 18, 2001, the Tiebei Detention House conducted a mid-night interrogation of a Dafa disciple. Six malicious guards employed brutal means to torture him: Tiger Bench (sitting very still on a bench for long periods of time), electric shocks, etc. Consequently, for two months, he couldn't sleep or take care of his own life since his arms couldn't move. He couldn't eat, drink, or wash without others' help.
The vicious guards put fetters on Dafa disciples Liu Zhe (female), Zhao Guifeng (female) and Jiang Tao (male). As a result, they also couldn't take care of themselves.
Dafa disciple Wang Guangyou was bruised and lacerated from beatings; his flesh was torn and bone was exposed. Tian Zhonglin personally instructed the thugs to beat him. After that, they further tortured him on the Tiger Bench.
All Dafa disciples, who are illegally detained in the Tiebei Detention House, are firmly cultivating in Dafa.

[Changchun City, Jilin Province] Police Continue Brutally Beating Dafa Disciples
Police, from the Criminal Police Team of No.1 Department of the Changchun Public Security Bureau, continue brutally beating Dafa disciples. Many Dafa disciples have been severely wounded.
On September 9th, Dafa disciple Zhao Guifeng was interrogated at some unknown place. She was escorted back two days later. The vicious police no longer interrogate Dafa practitioners at the normal police office. Instead, they took them to a secret place on the hill of Jingyuetan in Changchun City. Practitioners' eyes were covered with cloth when they were taken there and brought back.
[Changchun City, Jilin Province] Dafa Disciple Zhao Guifeng Never Yields to the Brutal Torture
Zhao Guifeng, female, 41-years-old, works at the Changchun No.1 Automobile Manufacture Plant.
One day in mid September, eleven police took her to a restaurant in Shuangyang. They rented a room there and interrogated her. They employed brutal means including Tiger Bench, turning her arms from the back of her body to front after handcuffing her from behind, violently beating her back, legs, etc. They tortured her for a whole night.
However, she never yielded and now she still spreads Dafa to prisoners and teaches people to be good, all out of her benevolence, which she cultivated in Dafa. Some prisoners can recite over thirty poems from Hongyin (a collection of poems written by the founder of Falun Dafa, Li Hongzhi). They all respect her very much. The detention house was newly built, and very poor in condition. The police there treat Dafa disciples more brutally than prisoners. A cell can only hold twenty people, however, they put 47 people in it. The vicious police don't allow Dafa disciples to stay together. They also don't allow them to talk. Zhao Guifeng managed to find chances to exchange ideas with practitioners who were newly detained, encouraging them to firmly cultivate in Dafa, and never to change their minds in cultivation. She also taught practitioners to recite Teacher's articles "The Disciples' Magnificence" and "Dafa is Indestructible."
Supposedly she wrote a poem in the jail, which moved others to tears.

[Changchun City, Jilin Province] Expose the Crimes of Wang Jing, a Policewoman of Changchun Labor Camp
Wang Jing, a policewoman in Team 4 of Changchun Labor Camp tortured Dafa practitioners:
In November 2000, Liu Xinli (female) became mentally disordered from torture by Wang Jing. Driven by this suffering, Liu wrote the statements against her will, promising to stop practicing Falun Dafa. From then on, Liu lost more freedom. Under such circumstances, Liu felt that being alive was worse than being dead, so she pounded her head against a wall. The doctor came to examine the wounds. The next day, they escalated the persecution against Liu. Wang Jing asked some people to tie Liu on the "death penalty bed," with her hands and feet fastened to it. She could not move at all, and suffered unbearable pain from the inhumane torture. When the provincial officials came to inspect the labor camp, Wang Jing, fearful of being exposed, covered Liu's eyes with a hat, and hid her. At night, Liu was taken back and tied on the bed again, having no freedom at all. Liu was denied food and water, and was tortured this way for over a week. Later, the police were scared, so they released Liu after her physical examination.
[Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Talented Ph. D Graduate in Harbin Illegally Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison
Recently, Han Li, a Ph. D graduate from Harbin Industrial University in Heilongjiang Province, was unlawfully sentenced to 15 years in prison in Nangang District People's Court of Harbin City. Han Li was arrested on December 2000 while he was validating Dafa. He has remained in custody ever since. Nangang District Court in Harbin did not dare to hold a public trial because they could not find any criminal evidence. According to the officials in the court, they are not required to follow any due process of laws, since Han Li has been labeled as a "political offender." A Ph. D graduate suffered inhumane torture only because he persisted in his personal faith. This is another crime that Jiang Zemin and Luo Gan have committed against the country and the people.
[Yun County, Hubei Province] Dafa Practitioners' Righteous Voice Resounded at Hubei Public Trial
On September 27, 2001, a public trial was illegally held in Yun County, Hubei Province. With the excuse of "practicing Falun Gong," they illegally sentenced one Dafa practitioner to 3 years in prison, and another Dafa practitioner, Xu Xudong, to 5 years in prison. During the trial, the righteous Dafa practitioners shouted openly, "Falun Dafa is good! Restore the reputation of our Teacher Li Hongzhi!" Each practitioner was soon attacked by five or six policemen, who covered their mouths, and beat them viciously. The policemen tried to suppress the righteous voices, but the result was exactly the opposite. Their shameless actions were criticized by people, and inspired people's respect toward Falun Dafa practitioners.

[Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Police in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province Illegally Detain Liu Hong in a Labor Camp and Extort 1,600 Yuan
Dafa practitioner Liu Hong, a farmer in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province was arrested on September 22. On the same day, she was illegally sentenced to 3 years of forced labor re-education without any legal procedure. Currently, she is detained in Liaoning Provincial Sanjia Labor Camp.
52-year-old Liu Hong supports her son and daughter. Her husband is deceased. Her son is a student in Nanjing University. In order to pay for her son's college expenses, she built a plastic shed for planting vegetables with the help of her relatives and friends. Liu and her daughter had to live in the shed to save money. Liu worked hard everyday, but her mind was focused on cultivating in Falun Dafa. However, the police arrested Ms. Liu, as an attempt to warn other practitioners. The police beat her, and confiscated 1,600 Yuan RMB [about 8 months average income for a farmer], which she saved for her son's college tuition from selling vegetables. The police station officials justified that she had earned the money from illegally selling Falun Gong propaganda materials. These vile police withdrew the money right away and extravagantly had a meal to "celebrate." Upon seeing this, the local people said, "What kind of society is this?!"
[Hunchun City, Jilin Province] The Police Station Officials Use "Psychotropic Drugs" on Dafa Practitioners
A few days ago, an article "The Record that Jilin Provincial Hunchun City Police Station Officials Persecute Dafa Practitioners" was reported on the website. On the basis of this, we made further investigation. We have learnt that the vile officials in Hunchun City Police Station used extremely brutal and vicious means to persecute the detained Dafa practitioners. They beat them, and also force-fed them with alcohol and mustard oil [Note: very spicy and burns] (The police security section chief, Yao, claimed this to be his new invention). They cuffed the practitioners' hands behind their back and hung them in the air. Then they tied one of their feet, and made the other foot unable to touch the ground. They were tortured this way for at least one day and one night, sometimes as long as four days and four nights. Upon seeing that Dafa practitioners are still so steadfast, they thought of even more contemptible means. They infused a kind of psychotropic drug into watermelons which Dafa practitioners were asked to eat, in an attempt to weaken Dafa practitioners' will. We hereby warn the practitioners to maintain righteous thoughts all the time. Once the righteous thought comes forth, no drug will take effect.
[Hunchun City, Jilin Province] Hunchun City Police in Jilin Province Ransack Dafa Practitioner's Home in Broad Daylight
On October 24, 2001, Hunchun City police in Jilin Province, headed by political security section chief Yao, illegally ransacked Wei Jinquan's home. Wei Jinquan clarified the truth to the people. Wei Jinquan and his wife were not at home, only his second elder brother was in. Without permission, the police illegally looted property worth 20,000 Yuan from Wei Jinquan's home.
According to the Chinese constitution, the citizens' home, personal rights and personal legal earnings are protected by law. However, these vicious police illegally looted Wei Jinquan' legal property. They violated the law while supposedly enforcing the law, which has caused great indignation to the surrounding people and to the world.

On the night of October 11, Security Guard Zhang Youcai of Bahu Village, Erdao County Fengman District spotted two practitioners who were distributing Dafa materials. He took the practitioners to the village committee hall. Later, the village party secretary, Wang Tiemin, called the local police substation to take the practitioners for further persecution. This caused many difficulties for the practitioners' families.
[Shanghai] Authorities Arrest Practitioners Before APEC Conference
Before the APEC conference (around September 15, 2001), some Shanghai practitioners were arrested. Some were sent to brainwashing class and the others were detained. Many other practitioners were under close surveillance and lost their basic freedoms.
Yang Xiaoping and spouse were detained. Granny Ying Peiwen, who is over 70 years old, and a young female practitioner were also detained.
Police suddenly kidnapped two female practitioners, who were about 55 years old, as they were walking in the street with their family. Their family members were also arrested at the same time. One was released on the same day, another family member was released after 24 hours. Until now, the practitioners are prohibited from receiving visitors. According to the insiders, it is believed that they are detained in a new brainwashing class in Yangpu District.

On October 27,Wang Tao, a Beijing practitioner, was kidnapped while he was distributing truth-clarifying materials. We have no current information of his kidnapping. His brother (also a practitioner) has been illegally sentenced to 7 years. Their 60-year-old mother is now alone and has no other family.

[Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Anshan City Labor Camp Perpetrates a Fraud to Achieve Recognition
Anshan City Labor Camp of Liaoning Province held the third-term brainwashing class in September. There was a Dafa practitioner from Xiliu Town, Haicheng City, whose last name was Wang. In order to attain recognition and meet the quota required by the higher authorities, the Xiliu town government used a non-Dafa practitioner to replace Wang when they were unable to catch him. However, the replacement was recognized by the brainwashing personnel and they told the people from the Xiliu town government, "If you do things like this, we will expose you." Later, people from the Xiliu town government brought this fake practitioner back and sent another person who had already stopped practicing Falun Gong two years ago. Several days later, the Xiliu Town government brought fruits and moon cakes [a traditional Chinese cake] on the excuse of "conveying greetings" to shut up the brainwashing personnel. Several days later, the Haicheng city government and Department of Administration of Justice jointly brought fruits and moon cakes again to "convey greetings" to the brainwashing personnel in Haicheng City.
Anshan City Labor Camp is very evil. Some steadfast Dafa practitioners from other parts of the country were transferred to Anshan City. Li Huanbao, male, over 30, from Jinzhou City, Jinzhou Labor Camp was sent to Anshan City when Jinzhou Labor Camp authorities were unable to make him renounce Falun Gong.
The malevolent people who assisted Anshan Labor Camp in persecuting Dafa practitioners were: Zhang Qianfeng, Zhang Zhongrong, Wang Tianguang, Cao Wei, Li Yi, Gao Jian, Wu Xiaoxue, Zhang Yingtang, Hong Yun, Zhang Jingwu, etc.

Han Junqing, from Doudian Village, Doudian Town, Fangshan District, Beijing was sentenced to 1 year of forced labor in February 2000. During the time he was at Tuanhe Labor Camp, this person served as a so-called education helper and used vicious means to torture practitioners who refused to write guarantee statements. He used pins to prick the practitioners' bodies over a long period; some practitioners were pricked so much that there were wounds all over their bodies. This evil person was fired in February 2000. After he was released, he did not repent and mend his ways, but continued to help the tyrants do evil.
Zhang Wenlong, is from Yangtougang Village, Chengguan Town, Fangshan District, Beijing. He voluntarily deceived other practitioners in Tuanhe Labor Camp and used vicious means to torture the steadfast Dafa practitioners. For example, one time, a practitioner refused to accept his evil and heretical ideas; Zhang Wenlong tied this practitioner onto a bed and beat him up. This practitioner's backbone was fractured and the practitioner became disabled. Because of strong requests and protest from the relatives of this practitioner, on February 25, 2001, Zhang Wenlong and two other thugs were sentenced to prison.
The real purpose of Jiang, Luo and their accomplices devoting themselves to brainwashing is to make people give up their consciences and associate with evil people.
