On Monday Dec. 10, 2001, a celebration of International Human Rights Day was held at Boston University in Boston, MA. Boston practitioners joined other human rights organizations to celebrate this special day and the Falun Gong group was the largest represented. The event offered an excellent opportunity to spread Dafa and collect signatures for letters that are going to be sent to the President of Boston University as well as to professors in schools and universities in Mainland China.

Tables were set up on either side of the entrance to the university cafeteria in the Student Union building where Amnesty International and other groups gave out literature. The Falun Gong poster display portraying the persecution of practitioners in China was on the second floor of this building in the student lounge. One practitioner participated in a 2-hour panel discussion with four other Human Rights activists that evening. An experience-sharing candlelight vigil of practitioners and other Human Rights activists concluded the day's activities.
