February 6 and 7 are the scheduled meeting days for Australian MPs. In order to let them get the further understanding of Falun Dafa and know about the truth, many Australian practitioners from all over the country rushed to Canberra, the Australian capital, on February 6 and 7, 2001.
In front of the Parliament House there were Dafa flags fluttered in the wind, peaceful practice, and the pictures and banners showing the cruel persecution of practitioners by the Chinese government against Falun Dafa. This attracted tourists as well as the staff at Parliament House who came to watch during lunchtime. Many people supported us by signing the petition, and took away with them the latest literature of revealing the truth and exposing the evil.
During the activity, several practitioners exposed the inhuman persecution of Jiang Zemin's government against Falun Dafa practitioners from their own experience. Feng Xiaomei had been illegally and without due cause jailed for 8 months. She testified to both the mental and physical tortures she had suffered in the jail in China. Other practitioners related the facts that their relatives had been sentenced for 3 years in a labor camp because of their practice of Falun Gong. Each story that we have revealed to the world and each incident of Jiang Zemin's inhuman persecution against and harassment of Falun Gong was closely connected with the Australian people. Many MPs from the Australian parliament talked to the practitioners. They re-affirmed that Australia is a country of freedom, and you can freely enjoy and practice the belief in Falun Dafa. Some MPs were moved by another scene of the peaceful practice in front of the Parliament House saying, "You are always appealing so peacefully, Falun Gong is peaceful." Some MPs expressed their suspicion about the CCTV-reported news of the self-immolation incident in Tiananmen Square.
There were many western practitioners who participated in this activity outside of the Parliament House in Canberra, which made us feel the power of the truth. A single spark can start a prairie fire. The great mercy of Master is building the bright future of Australia.
