Around 6:00-7:00 PM on Feb 8th, more than 40 practitioners from Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver came to the Chinese embassy in Canada despite the fact that the temperature was below 10C. They came here to ask the Chinese government to stop the illegal and cruel persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners, and to allow a third party carry out an independent investigation of the self-immolation incident in Tiananmen Square and return the innocence of Falun Dafa.
Practitioners stood quietly on the road facing the Chinese embassy with candles in their hands. While listening to the Dafa music "Pudu", they forgot the freezing temperature. The large banners printed with "Falun Dafa" shone through the snowy background. Passing vehicles blew their horns as usual in support of the practitioners. People who were about to attend the activities in the embassy drove by slowly while several ushers at the entrance of embassy stared at the practitioners.
English TV station CTV interviewed practitioners for a report on the petition activity.
