[Minghui Net] Mr. Lai Zhijun, former vice head of Fenggang town (in Dongguan City) and a deputy director of the National People's Congress, also an excellent XX party member, was illegally jailed in Dongguan Detention Center because he firmly cultivated Falun Dafa. He insisted on practicing Dafa exercises while in detention.
Later, on March 29, 2001 he was transferred to Guangdong Labor Camp (located in Shanshui City). He was tortured to death about four to five days after he was sent to the labor camp.
The labor camp told his family that he had died of some illness and gave his family 400 Yuan RMB asking them not to tell the outside the truth. Because of the heavy block on the news, we didn't know about his death until recently. We hope that practitioners who know Lai Zhijun and all kindhearted people will carry out a further investigation into Lai's death and collect evidence that is needed for the trial of those murderers in the near future.
In separate news, the second section of the Shanshui Women's Labor Camp has been relocated to a site about 1 km away from the "Shanshui Experimental School" on the northwest side of the city of Shanshui, Guangdong Province.
