[Clearwisdom.net] We are an old couple. One of us is almost 70-years-old, and the other is over 70. At this age we expected to spend our remaining years in comfort, yet we had never anticipated abandoning our home and drifting to an alien land, living in a situation that does not allow us to go back home. The reason for our current situation is neither lack of financial support, nor accidents or strife among family members. Instead, our circumstances are caused by the suppression of Falun Gong, ordered by the political gang headed by Jiang Zemin. It is because we practice Falun Gong, because we are unwilling to give up Falun Dafa, and because we refuse to participate in the government-ordered brainwashing class that we had to choose this lifestyle in the autumn of our lives.
Since around the Spring Festival of 2001, in order to achieve their criminal objectives of "reforming" each and every Dafa practitioner away from Dafa and toward the government's ideology, Jiang's vicious group had planned, ordered, and convened brainwashing classes all over China.
Since a few days before this year's Spring Festival, the police from our institute's police station, street office personnel, and local residential officers repeatedly sent people to our home to "talk," to ask us to write "guarantee statements," to guarantee that we would not go to Tiananmen Square in Beijing to distribute flyers, to threaten us with loss of our apartment, loss of salary and to have us attend the brainwashing class. We have refused these requests firmly and clarified the truth to them.
As far as we know, this brainwashing class is extremely evil. They require each Dafa practitioner to participate in the class. Any practitioner who refuses will be violently arrested. Each brainwashing class lasts one week. Those who were still not "reformed" at the end of the class would be sent to labor camps. The "brainwashing techniques" were extremely despicable and brutal.
We will never participate in such a brainwashing class! Therefore we have chosen to run away from home, and chosen the way of "wandering the alien land," becoming homeless people.
While Leading a Wandering Life, Do Not Forget to Rectify the Fa!
The Master says, "Every person you come into contact with in society is someone to clarify the truth to, and what's manifest in clarifying the truth is Dafa disciples' mercy and salvation of the people of the world." [Master's article "To All Students at the Nordic Fa Conference"] We are "outside," contacting some relatives, friends and other people. They have been deeply influenced by the vicious propaganda, and know little or nothing about the inhuman tortures and persecution. We take this chance to clarify the truth to them. Through the example of our own experience we disclose all sorts of despicable means used by Jiang Zemin's gang to slander and disgrace Master and Dafa. We talk about our own improved health after practicing Falun Dafa, the improvement of our xinxing [mind and heart nature], and the facts that numerous practitioners were arrested and sent to brainwashing classes since the suppression of Falun Gong. The "Self- immolation Incident" (a government-staged burning of people in Tiananmen Square earlier this year) is also an important topic of clarifying the truth. With our endeavor they have become sober and realized the intent of the evil force. These people showed understanding and sympathy for our action of not cooperating with the evil. This has brought hope to their lives forever after. We will look for more work to do, will not wait, will not rely on others, and will live up to Master's expectations.
