(Clearwisdom net) The district government in Longquan District of Chengdu City has been commended by authorities at the provincial, state, and national levels for its "outstanding" performance in persecuting Dafa practitioners and preventing their going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa.

Here is some evidence to show how vicious the district government is.

1. Since July 20, 1999, the authorities have conducted several thorough searches for Dafa practitioners. All practitioners have been forced to give statements, to write guarantee letters renouncing their belief in Falun Dafa, and to hand in their Dafa books.
2. After three practitioners were sent back to the district in December 1999 for appealing to higher authorities, more than 10 other practitioners in the district were immediately arrested (including a pregnant woman). Respectively, they were illegally detained for 15 days or 30 days, or sent to labor camps for one and a half year terms, or fined heavily. At the same time, authorities began another round of persecution, searching for Dafa books, confiscating the property of Dafa practitioners, threatening practitioners with serious punishment, and so on. The three practitioners who went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa for the first time suffered such persecutions as being illegally detained, fired from their jobs, fined up to 20,000 Yuan (about 2500 US dollar) and so on.
3. Cheng Zhan, a Dafa practitioner, was arrested after being released from a detention center. His home was also searched again. His computer, printer and other property, worth a total of about 10,000 Yuan, were confiscated. After holding a 9-day hunger strike, he was sent to the Ziyang labor camp. Although his wife didn't go to Beijing to appeal for Dafa, she was detained illegally for 15 days and was fined 3000 Yuan. After she was released, she was forced to write a "guarantee" statement or she would lose her job.
4. Zhao Benyong is a practitioner and a teacher at the Aerospace College. The college authorities illegally confiscated his bankbook with an account of 1400 Yuan and a private loan statement of 5000 Yuan. Almost one year's salary and bonus were withheld by his employer. His freedom was also restricted. He was not allowed to visit his wife who was illegally imprisoned. Later he was expelled from his job. He was forced to leave home and wander around after the police tried to break into his home at midnight to arrest him. His nine-year old son was left behind without his parents to watch him. His parents were left without financial support.
5. Yuan Bin, a practitioner from Luodai Middle School, was illegally detained for 40 days and then was sent to a labor camp. He has suffered all kinds of torture and has been held in the labor camp for more than 6 months.
6. The education department of the district distributed books that slander Falun Dafa to all students in the district and forced teachers and students to sign their names to documents defaming Falun Dafa.

In this small district, Dafa practitioners Cheng Zhan, Yuan Bin, Xie Hongming and He Yongming and others have been sent to labor camps. More than 50 families have had their property confiscated, and been fined. They have also been tortured using countless methods. However, "Good is rewarded with good, evil is met with evil." All malevolent people involved in the persecution of Dafa practitioners, including the district government, district politics and law committee, district police department, police stations and authorities from individual companies and units, have started to receive retribution.

1. As for the district education system that has persecuted the Dafa practitioners most severely, in September 2000, a tourist bus carrying the people from the district education system fell into the Shenzhen River. Three persons died on the spot. Several other persons became comatose. Nearly 10 others were injured severely. Among those who died Mu Xiupin, was the previous principal of Damian Middle School. This middle school had fired two Dafa practitioners, Huang Yan and Wang Xueming, and transferred 20,000 Yuan in fines from the school to the Dafa practitioners.
2. Hu Chengyong, the previous director of the education department, has been involved in, and has directly plotted the persecution of Dafa practitioners in the district education system. He suddenly lost his position for some other reasons and can no longer be so domineering.
3. After Longquan forest policemen shot a Tibetan and killed him, more than 200 Tibetans stood up against the authorities. The major leaders from the Longquan district government branches, including the district department, politics and law committee and police department were beaten and received bloody noses and swollen faces.

Now, more and more people who still have righteous thoughts have stopped persecuting Dafa since they have come to know the truth. They keep their distance from the wicked people to avoid the retribution.

We, Dafa practitioners, warn sternly with benevolence: if the people who have persecuted us continue their behavior, larger scale retributions will come and no one will be left out.
