1. Design SOS T-Shirt using Microsoft Office 2000. Several designs are available and ready for printing. See attached Word files (design 1, design 2, design 3).
(1) Open Word or PowerPoint.
(2) Click "Drawing" button on the standard toolbar or click "View"--"Toolbars"--"Drawing" to active Drawing toolbar.
(3) Click "Insert WordArt" button (it is a big and italic A.) on the Drawing toolbar to open "WordArt Gallery".
(4) Choose one of the designs from the "WordArt Gallery" and click "OK". The window "Edit WordArt Text" will pop out.
(5) Type any English and/or Chinese words into the "Edit WordArt Text" window. You can choose different fonts and sizes. Click "OK" to insert the words into the Word or Powerpoint file.
(6) If you want to insert a picture to your design, click "Insert Clip Art" button on the Drawing toolbar and double click anything from the "Insert ClipArt" window.
(7) Go to the Word or Powerpoint file. Adjust the size and location of the WordArt and ClipArt that you have inserted. You can do any edit or format to the design.
(8) Important: flip all the WordArt and ClipArt that you have inserted. Click one of the WordArt and ClipArt to select it and then click the "Flip Horizontal" button on the "Drawing" toolbar. If the "Flip Horizontal" button is not on the "Drawing" toolbar, click "Tools"--"Customize..."--"Commands"--"Drawing" to find the "Flip Horizontal" button and drag it into the "Drawing" toolbar for future use.
(9) Save your file.
- Buy T-Shirt Transfer Sheets from OfficeMax, Office Depot, or Wal-Mart.
- Print your design onto the T-Shirt Transfer Sheets.
If you have an ink jet printer, you should buy the "T-Shirt Transfer Sheets for Ink Jet Printers."
If you have a laser jet printer, you should buy the "T-Shirt Transfer Sheets for Laser Jet Printers."
Identify the face and back of the T-Shirt Transfer Sheets. You should print your design on the face of the sheet. See instruction of the product for detail.
4. Iron the design from the Transfer Sheet to your T-Shirt. See instructions of the product for detail.
(1) Position the Transfer Sheet with the printed side down onto your white T-Shirt.
(2) Place the iron with highest temperature setting on the sheet and press down firmly and hold for 10-20 second to transfer the design to your T-Shirt.
(3) Let the transfer cool completely before removing the sheet from the T-shirt.
