(Clearwisdom.net) The lawless people who run Luquan Detention Center, Luquan City (formerly called Huolu County) committed countless crimes against Dafa and Dafa practitioners, persecuting them without restraint. In the following pages, I plan to disclose their vicious deeds, to eliminate the evil and awaken the public with all I have experienced and witnessed.
1. The Crimes Committed by the Head of the Detention Center, Zhang Weige
Since October 1999, Luquan Detention Center began detaining Dafa practitioners. It obtained a special permit to open a female jail (there was no female jail in the center before, which shows how vicious they have become), and they mixed male and female cells together into one section. The guards prepared clubs, shackles, handcuffs and other torture tools. Whenever they felt perturbed, they would brutally torture Dafa practitioners.
When practitioners were brought in, chief Zhang Weige would interrogate them, asking if they planned to practice the Falun Gong exercises in the center. If a practitioner answered "yes," they would be immediately back-handcuffed and shackled for over 10 days. Practitioners who have suffered this punishment are: Li Jianmei, Zhang Shun'e, Yang Runxia, Fu Xiuping, Qiu Yanshuang, Zheng Ronghua, Jing Yuehua and others. I was locked on the "tiger stool" (an extremely painful torture device) for a long time.
2. The Crimes Committed by the Deputy Chief Xie Meili
The deputy chief Xie Meili is ruthless in persecuting Dafa practitioners. He monitored Dafa practitioners closely to prevent them from studying the Fa or practicing the exercises. Once, practitioners had a group practice to resist the persecution. Xie Meili, along with several other guards, immediately rushed into the cell and beat the practitioners. He struck practitioners in the head and face with a high-heeled shoe. He forced practitioners to "drive the airplane" (a type of torture in which a person is forced to bend over and extend his arms vertically behind his back) until practitioners vomited from pain and exhaustion.
Xie Meili often beat practitioners with clubs. Once, he beat me when he was drunk. My head, ears, back, and legs were all extremely swollen. When practitioner Fu Xiuping (female, over 60 years old), who came from Yang Village, Luquan City, was asked if she would practice or not, she answered loudly, "Yes!" They beat her on the ankles and the lower legs with wooden sticks.
Xie Meili forced Dafa practitioners to run about 500 meters around the jail cells 40 times without stopping. When they found practitioners Li Jianmei and Zheng Ronghua reciting the Fa in their cell, they shackled and back-handcuffed the two practitioners and forced them to work with shackles on.
3. The Crimes of the Guard Wei Yanhui
Wei Yanhui is very cruel and ferocious. He is expressionless and laughs wickedly when beating practitioners. He often displays bizarre behavior, such as acting mentally ill, or pretending to be disabled. Such outbursts reveal his mental instability.
In December 2000, Wei Yanhui decided to vent his personal spite. He asked all Dafa practitioners to slap each other's faces and shout shamelessly, "I'm teaching you how to improve. I'm helping you to get rid of your karma!" If practitioners refused to do so, they would suffer brutal beatings by Wei and other criminals.
During the the Chinese Spring Festival of 2001, Wei Yanhui forced all Dafa practitioners to stand in the icy, snowy weather for more than 10 hours. Some practitioners suffered frostbite on their hands and feet. Practitioners would only be allowed to go back by pledging,"I will not practice." However, no one complied.
Wei Yanhui is very brutal at beating practitioners. He slapped Qiu Lihua in the face twice, making her almost faint. Her face swelled up immediately. He slapped Li Jianmei in the face twice, causing the corner of her eyes and mouth to bleed. In the winter, he dumped cold water and snow into female jail cells.
I was force-fed by Wei Yanhui and other criminals because I went on hunger strike to resist the evil persecution. Refusing to accept this treatment, I clenched my teeth shut. They pinched my nose with their fingers, slapped my face, and stamped their feet on my body so hard that they almost suffocated me.
4. Other Criminals of the Detention Center
As most of the Dafa practitioners refused to cooperate with the vicious forces, they suffocated the evil by means of reciting the Fa, practicing the exercises and conducting hunger strikes. They effectively safeguarded the Fa and frightened the evil forces. Once, when the guards were examining the cells, they asked the practitioners to read aloud their prisoner numbers, but the practitioners firmly refused. They thought they were not guilty and shouldn't be treated as prisoners. The guards said, "What else would you like to be called then?" The practitioners shouted out together, "The Buddha light illuminates everywhere/ Propriety and justice rectify and harmonize everything. / Strive forward together, / A bright future lies ahead."(Unofficial translation of "In Harmony With the Fa" from Hong Yin) The righteous sound resounded in the evening sky and shook the building. Even the prisoners applauded. The guards murmured, "Ok, ok, ok!" and ran away. I remember the date was exactly July 20, 2000.
In July 2000 while I was being illegally held, I witnessed the persecution of ten practitioners who went to appeal in Beijing. They refused to tell their names and were transferred to Luquan City. They had been on hunger strike for 3 to 4 days when they arrived here, and some had been severely beaten in Beijing. Li Zhanguo, the director of the Police Department in Luquan City, gave orders to send Dafa practitioners to all police stations in the towns and villages under his jurisdiction. He then assigned several people to each practitioner, to beat them severely, and force feed and torture them excruciatingly until they revealed their names and addresses.
Although I was diagnosed with hepatitis, they not only didn't release me but also locked me to a "tiger stool" for a long time. I had to eat, drink and sleep in the chair. I could neither stand up nor lie down, and my feet were severely swollen. I went on hunger strike twice for 21 days and 9 days respectively. They were afraid I would die there, so they sent me for an examination and the results frightened them. I was diagnosed with serious contagious hepatitis. They were startled: how could such an "ill" person go on hunger strike for so many days? The supernatural Buddha Fa (Law) once again showed its power to them! Even so, they still refused to release me, and instead became more aggressive. Zhang Weige, the director of the detention center, ordered the guards to force-feed me, and charged the expenses to my account.
5. The Crimes Conducted by Political & Security Section of Luquan City Police Department and Dahe Police Station.
During the Spring Festival of 2001, I was arrested along with several other female practitioners when someone reported us for distributing flyers. Liu Sujun, Zheng and section chief Yuan from the Political & Security Section of Luquan City, together with Liu Fucun and Wang Yong'an from Dahe Police Station, interrogated us and tortured us brutally with electric shocks. Liu Fucun shocked my body all over with an electric baton, causing the skin of my thighs to peel off. He also forced me to squat with my knees bent, and deprived me of food and sleep. He handcuffed my wrists very tightly and pulled the handcuffs back and forth till my wrist began to bleed.
Liu Sujun struck my back, legs, hands and face with a mop stick, and shocked my body all over with an electric baton. He didn't allow me to use the restroom and deprived me of sleep. He brutally tortured me for over 30 hours. They tormented practitioner Li Jianmei for more than 10 hours with electric batons and cruel tortures such as forcing her to stand and squat for a long time. They shocked practitioner Li Huifang and handcuffed her two hands to two chairs on her sides. She could neither sit down nor stand straight, and when she nearly fainted, they even stabbed her with a needle. They tortured her for an entire day and night. They tortured Hu Xiufen, Jing Yuehua, Zheng Ronghua, Qiu Yanshuang, and Meng Hongxia for over 10 hours with electric shocks, handcuffing them, depriving them of sleep, and forcing them to stand and squat for a long time.
The above is just a fraction of the brutality I experienced and witnessed at Luquan City Police Department. There are still many more atrocities that have yet to be exposed. However, Dafa practitioners in Luquan City are not frightened by the vicious forces. They are fearless in clarifying the truth to the public, and continue to step forward, effectively safeguarding the Fa and frightening the vicious forces.
We sternly warn the authorities and policemen in Luquan City that "Good is rewarded with good and evil is met with evil" is a principle of the universe. If the vile persons still refuse to repent, retribution is awaiting them soon.
