Swedish Falun Gong members are staging a 48-hour hunger strike to show sympathy with Falun Gong members in a labour camp in China who have been on a hunger strike for more than 20 days.

The protest, which is taking place outside the Chinese embassy in Stockholm, aims to attract attention to the problems that the 130 members in China are facing. The protest was launched today (24 August).
