(1) Zhang Yunzhi, female Falun Dafa practitioner from Jili Village, Jincheng Town, was arrested for being steadfast in her cultivation and sent to a brainwashing class by the Jincheng Town Government. During the detention, Party Secretary Liu Guoping and director of security department Luo XX (the officers mainly in charge of persecuting Falun Gong), brutally beat and tortured Zhang Yunzhi for over 20 days. Her family members were not allowed to visit her during the time of her detention. She was detained in an extremely cold room of a retirement home, with nowhere to sleep.
(2) You Jingcai, male Falun Dafa practitioner from Jili Village and the husband of Zhang Yunzhi's was also arrested around the same time and sent to the brainwashing class. Secretary Liu Guoping instigated some goons named Liu Wen (Security staff of Yingcheng Village, Jinchengg Town), Liu Er, and Li Er (Security staff of Yanhe Village) to take turns in torturing You Jingcai. These thugs left him in a freezing cold mortuary room for over 20 days. They extorted over 4,000 Yuan (the average monthly salary in urban areas in China is around 500 Yuan) from him, and threatened to confiscate his farmland if he did not give them the money. They continued to persecute him after his release. They took turns going to his home to monitor his activities. The secretary of the village cursed You Jingcai's wife, Zhang Yunzhi, and slapped her face.
(3) Fu Zhiyi, male Falun Dafa practitioner from Garden Village, Jincheng Town, was arrested for going to Beijing to appeal in January 2001. He was illegally detained in Pinggu Detention Center in Beijing for three days. He was also illegally detained in Huludao Detention Center, Liaoning Province, for 15 days and in the Second Detention Center of Shuangcheng City, for over 20 days. During this time over 2,000 Yuan was extorted from him before his release.
(4) Zhang Lijun, male Falun Dafa practitioner from Shengping Village, Jincheng Town, was arrested and jailed in the Second Detention Center of Shuangcheng City for 15 days because of appealing in Beijing on November 18, 2001. Zhang was eventually released. During his detention over 3,000 Yuan was extorted from him. In January 2001, the town government officers once again arrested Zhang and sent him to a brainwashing classes held in Jincheng Town. Under the instruction of Secretary Liu Guoping, Niu Wen (Security staff of Yincheng Village, Jinchengg Town), Liu Er, and Li Er (Security staff of Yanhe Village) took turns brutally torturing Zhang for more than 20 days, and then left him to freeze in a cold mortuary room.
(5) Yang Juan, female Falun Dafa practitioner from Shengping Village, Jinchengg Town, was arrested and detained for appealing in Beijing in January 2001. She was subsequently sent to the Pingu Detention Center for refusing to reveal her name. From this point she was then transferred to Qinhuangdao Detention Center, where they succeeded in having her reveal her name. She was then transferred back to the Pingu Detention Center. After returning home, the officers from the 6.10 office in Shuangcheng City arrested her again, and detained her in the Second Detention Center for over 30 days. During this time several thousand Yuan was extorted from her before her release.
(6) Li Hancai, male Falun Dafa practitioner from Heping Village, Jincheng Town, was arrested and detained in the Second Detention Center of Shuangcheng City for 45 days for appealing in Beijing on November 18, 1999. Before his release, 10,000 Yuan was extorted from him in the name of "bail." Li was once again arrested and detained for a further 15 days for practicing Falun Gong on the 'Garden Bridge' in June 2001. Subsequently the village secretary Sun Jingui, and security staff Shi Baogui, ransacked his home and severely tortured his young son.
(7) Liu Yafang, female Falun Dafa practitioner from Heping Village, and the wife of Li Hancai was arrested and detained in the Second Detention Center of Shuangcheng City for several months for appealing in Beijing in May 2000. Persecutors extorted several thousand Yuan from her before her release. Jiang Zemin's criminal group destroyed her family. Liu Yafang and her family had to flee from their home and work in other places to make a living.
(8) Zhang Jiaqing, male Falun Dafa practitioner from Jinhe Village, Jincheng Town, was arrested and detained in the Second Detention Center of Shuangcheng City for one month for appealing in Beijing in May 2000. Zhang was detained in a senior's home in Jincheng Village for another 10 days by the township government. On July 20, 2000, Zhang went to Beijing again to appeal and was sentenced to one year in a labor camp without any legal procedures. Zhang was first sent to Wanjia Labor Camp, Harbin City for one month and then transferred to the Changlinzi Labor Camp. Zhang went on a hunger strike for 12 days because he was not released upon the completion of his detention term. He was then released as a result of his hunger strike.
(9) Yu Lidong, male Falun Dafa practitioner from Jinhe Village, Jincheng Town, was arrested for appealing in Beijing in May 2000. Before his release 1,000 Yuan was extorted from him.
(10) Zhang Jiasheng, male Falun Dafa practitioner from Jinhe Village, Jincheng Town, was arrested and detained in the Second Detention Center of Shuangcheng City for one month because of appealing in Beijing in May 2000. Zhang was also detained in a retirement home in Jincheng Village for another 10 days. On July 20, 2000, Zhang went to Beijing again to appeal and was then sentenced to one year in a labor camp. Zhang was then detained in Changlinzi Labor Camp, Harbin City. They released him on August 5, 2001.
(11) Cong Yuchun, female Falun Dafa practitioner from Jinhe Village, Jincheng Town was arrested and detained in the Second Detention Center of Shuangcheng City, for one month for appealing in Beijing in July 2000. Several thousand Yuan was extorted from her before her release.
(12) Yi Fujin, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Yanhe Village, Jincheng Town, was arrested and detained in the Second Detention Center of Shuangcheng City for two months because of appealing in Beijing on November 18, 1999. Yi was then illegally sentenced to one year in Yimianpo Labor Camp, Shangzhi City.
(13) Che Yanhui, male Falun Dafa practitioner from Heping Village, Jincheng Town, was arrested and detained in the Second Detention Center of Shuangcheng City for one month because of appealing in Beijing in June 2000. Several thousand Yuan was extorted from him in the name of "bail," but they still detained him in Jincheng Police Substation for half a month. The police then forced him to pay extra money for his food. Che didn't have enough money to pay, so the police confiscated over 500 pounds of rice from his home.
(14) Yin Cuijuan, female Falun Dafa practitioner from Jincheng Village, Jincheng Town, was arrested and detained in the Second Detention Center of Shuangcheng City for one month for appealing in Beijing in June 2000. Thugs led by Secretary Liu Guoping brutally tortured her and extorted over 2,000 Yuan from her.
(15) Yin Guofeng, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Jincheng Village, Jincheng Town, was arrested and detained in the Second Detention Center of Shuangcheng City for one month for appealing in Beijing in June 2000 and was fined several thousand Yuan.
(16) Liu Guoshun, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Jincheng Village, Jincheng Town, was arrested and detained in the Third Detention Center of Shuangcheng City for one month for appealing in Beijing in April 2000. Liu was then illegally sentenced to one year in the Yimianpo Labor Camp.
(17) Han Guirong, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Shangtaizi Village, Jincheng Town, was arrested and detained in the Second Detention Center of Shuangcheng City for one month for appealing in Beijing in April 2000, and was detained in a retirement home in Jincheng Village for a further 10 days. In June 2000, Han went to appeal again in Beijing and was detained in the Second Detention Center of Shuangcheng City, for one month. Han was also fined over 10,000 Yuan.
(18) Wen Dongling, female Falun Dafa practitioner from Jincheng Village, Jincheng Town, was arrested and detained in the Second Detention Center of Shuangcheng City on August 4, 2001, for distributing Falun Gong, truth-clarifying materials. She is presently still detained.
(19) Sun Xueling, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Jincheng Village, Jincheng Town, was arrested and detained in the Second Detention Center of Shuangcheng City for two and a half months for appealing in Beijing on November 18, 1999. Sun was also fined ten thousand Yuan before being released.
(20) Zhang Xiutian, female Falun Dafa practitioner from Jincheng Village, Jincheng Town, was arrested and detained in the Second Detention Center of Shuangcheng City, for one month for appealing in Beijing in April 2000. Zhang was then detained in a retirement home in Jincheng Village for a further 10 days. After being released, Zhang was frequently harassed and was fined several thousand Yuan.
(21) Zhang Zhongtian and his wife, both Falun Dafa practitioners from Aiguo Village, Jincheng Town, were arrested and detained in the Second Detention Center of Shuangcheng City for one month for appealing in Beijing in April 2000. Zhang was later detained in a senior's home in Jincheng Village for a further ten days.
(22) Sun Xiuchun, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Aiguo Village, Jincheng Town, was arrested and detained in the Second Detention Center of Shuangcheng City for one month for appealing in Beijing in April 2000.
The criminal thugs in Jincheng Town, Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province ransacked practitioners' homes and robbed their personal belongings, including food. They tortured law-abiding practitioners just for peacefully going to Beijing to appeal to the Chinese government. Falun Dafa practitioners just want to uphold the belief of "Truthfulness, Benevolence, and Forbearance," clarify the truth of Falun Gong, and offer people salvation, but they were repeatedly detained, jailed in labor camps, and even tortured.
