1. [Northeastern China] Truth of Dafa Is Spread to Thousands of Families and Is All Over the Streets and Lanes
After Teacher's new article "The Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciples" was published, practitioners in northeastern China, through studying this and other articles on Minghui Net repeatedly, decided to step forward. They have utilized various forms to "Clarify the truth thoroughly, eliminate the evil with righteous thoughts, save all beings, and safeguard the Fa with determination." These days they are putting up Dafa posters everywhere. In some residential areas more than two types of truth-clarifying materials are posted outside the door of each family. Outside the doors of some families three to four different types of materials are posted. Today on streets and lanes, on utility poles, on public telephone kiosks, on trees and in all parks, Dafa posters and banners are everywhere. This has helped deter and frighten the evil effectively.
2. [Northern China] Over 60 Practitioners Hold a Falun Dafa Conference
In a northern city of China over 60 practitioners successfully held a Fa conference on August 18. Together they studied Teacher's recent new articles and the latest article "Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciples". At the conference, practitioners eagerly gave their speeches, exchanged some of their personal experiences and understanding of Teacher's latest articles. The practitioners realized the significance of taking part in the Fa-rectification for a Dafa disciple and the magnificent mission of Dafa disciples in the Fa-rectification period --"clarify the truth and save worldly people;" in this process we fulfill our sacred wows. Through communication, participants also realized the importance of elevating as one body; the more perilous the environment, the more important the group Fa study and communication among one another. In the conference, participants sent forth righteous thoughts together to eliminate the evil. The Fa conference ended successfully.
3. [Beijing, China] CCTV Has A Guilty Conscience and Edited the "Self-Immolation" Videotape Again to Cover up the Loopholes of Fabrication
A few days ago, CCTV broadcast the trial process of the "Tiananmen self-immolation" case. In the program they inserted the video record of "self-immolation." I found that all the suspicious elements that Minghui pointed out had been cut. Notably, the scenes in which Liu Chunlin was being attacked by a heavy object on her head were cut out completely. This once again exposes the truth of the forging and fabrication of the "Tiananmen self-immolation incidence."
All kindhearted Chinese people, please think it over! Who benefits from the "self-immolation incidence"? Who is laughing wildly behind the scenes? How much more persecution has Falun Gong suffered since this incident? Would any genuine Falun Gong practitioner do such a foolish thing as to sadden one's own people and strengthen the enemy?

4. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Urgent Appeal: Please Help Dafa practitioners On Hunger Strike for One Month and In Danger of Death
Dafa practitioners Wang Yan and Quan Ruilian were taken away illegally from their homes on July 17. Since then they have refused to eat anything. They protested their illegal detention through the means of a hunger strike. Now their lives are in danger and they are on the verge of death. Due to not eating or drinking water, their limbs have become numb and they cannot move or speak. Despite their grave situation, the police still ask their family members to submit money to "rescue" them.
We hope to get help and support from all kindhearted and upright people.
5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Dafa Pictorial Board Outside the Gate of Chuangchun City Police Department Attracts Thousands of People
Recently Changchun City Police Department held a so-called "Severe Attack" pictorial display. They displayed many pictorial boards on the walls outside the gate. Dafa practitioners fully applied their wisdom, making a pictorial board in the same size of those boards, containing some pictures of Dafa practitioners who were tortured to death and who have become legends. This board attracted thousands of people and it was kept there for a whole day. Practitioners also put up Dafa banners on the utility poles and office buildings in the yard of police department. Throughout these activities, practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts which helped accomplish their objectives while under the watch of guards.
6. [China] Jiang Zemin Clique Concocts False Evidence of Violence and Plots to Frame Up Falun Dafa Practitioners
According to inside sources, Jiang Zemin's clique has recently spread new lies inside the police system. For example, XX place has found a bomb with a note: "We will take action if Falun Gong practitioners are not released"; XX warders or policemen got an intimidating phone call saying "Be careful of your head if you continue to persecute Falun Gong practitioners," etc. The media are also ready to make trouble.
This is another sign of the unceasing persecution after the order of
"repress more severely" was issued by Jiang Zemin's Highest
Procuratorial Ministry and Highest Court. A few days ago, Jiang Zemin's clique
fabricated some more stories of "self-immolation" and
"self-injury" and put them on TV, but the masses are not being cheated
anymore. Especially through practitioners' clarifying the truth, people have
become tired of the false propaganda on TV. People know that Falun Gong
practitioners will not fight back when beaten or abused. People all over the
world also know the peacefulness and compassion of Falun Gong.

7. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Police Arrest a Female Falun Dafa Practitioner for no Reason
The Police arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Lu Guirong, female, 61 years old, and took her away by force for no reason while she was walking on street. They tried to force her to admit that she was the organizer of the practitioners who had been to Beijing to appeal. Lu Guirong strongly objected to the false charge, so the police beat her brutally. She is still illegally detained.
8. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] A Falun Dafa Practitioner Is Imprisoned Beyond His Detention Term and Police Request Ransom Instead
Falun Dafa practitioner Jiao Shoutong has been illegally imprisoned in a labor camp for nearly half a year longer than his actual detention term. The camp planned to release him but the Yushu Police Department did not agree. Instead they demanded 3,000 RMB Yuan (about US $360, over half year's income for an average urban worker). His wife managed to collect 1,000 Yuan by borrowing from several people, but the Police Department still did not agree to release him.
9. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] The Chief Criminal Jiang Zemin Will Possibly Come To Changchun And We Propose Falun Dafa Practitioners Send Forth Righteous Thoughts All Together
It was reported that the International Automobile Exposition would be held in Changchun City, Jilin Province on August 24, 2001, and that four presidents from Audi Automobile Inc. of Germany would show up. It was also rumored that Jiang Zemin himself would come to Changchun. Jiang started his career at the China No.1 Automobile Manufacturing Factory in Changchun. Audi Company is the collaborating partner of the factory. We propose that all Changchun Dafa practitioners send forth righteous thoughts on that day. In addition, it is a good chance for us to spread Falun Dafa to international visitors and professionals in the automobile industry.
Over 40 million Yuan (about US $4.8 million) was spent to set up the building for the Exposition. This money was spent in spite of the fact that the average salary in Jilin Province is 3rd lowest of all of the provinces in the whole country. Many people live well below the poverty line.
10. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Police Abduct Falun Dafa Practitioners; Over 200 Practitioners Are Imprisoned In A Labor Camp
Recently, police from Anshan City illegally arrested and persecuted practitioners who were determined in practicing Falun Gong. The police there entice people into reporting practitioners who clarify the truth of Dafa by offering a reward of 500 Yuan. The police also listed the names of 11 practitioners, thereby forcing them to stay away from their own homes. The reward for each one arrested will be 30,000 Yuan. When they arrest Dafa practitioners, they knock on the door at midnight. If the practitioner resists or does not respond, they ram the door in or pry it open. People are angry but don't dare to speak out.
There are over 200 Dafa practitioners imprisoned in the labor camp. The three detention centers also have many Dafa practitioners.

The vicious policemen who brutally beat Falun Dafa practitioners Zhang Yufeng (female) and Liu Zhe are: Li Shichang, the vice director of the No.1 Division of the Police Department, Li Qingtao, a section head of the No.1 Division of the Police Station and Zhang Zhengzhen, a policeman in the Division. Practitioner Liu Zhe was arrested twice. The first time a spy who was especially recruited by the police reported her. The spy's name is not yet known. The second time, the police in No.1 Division gave a monetary inducement to the teacher in charge of Liu Jie's son's class at school for reporting Liu Jie's whereabouts.
