1. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Police Arrest and Brainwash Practitioners
Recently, local police have begun to arrest large numbers of practitioners again. Each workplace has also arranged to have a few retired Party members and community center staff members monitor and track the practitioners' every move. During the past year, practitioners have compassionately clarified the truth, and many people have awakened and are no longer assisting the police in their persecution. However, out of greed, a few people are still helping the police in arresting practitioners for handing out and putting up Falun Gong truth-clarifying literature. After being arrested, practitioners are sent to classes held by the detention center for violent brainwashing. If they maintain their belief in Dafa, they are sent to a labor camp. Many male practitioners were directly sent to the Changle Labor Camp, where they were tortured and denied sleep for seven days and nights.
We hope that all practitioners will send forth righteous thoughts together to eradicate the evil and help the detained practitioners . At the same time, we would like to remind practitioners to be more alert and to maintain righteous thoughts at all times. Eliminate the attachment of zealotry and the mentality of showing off. Be truly responsible to Dafa, to yourself, and to fellow practitioners.
2. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Head of Detention Center Says to "Transformed People," "Cancer, go away, nobody wants to hear from you!"
Qing Yongjie and a few other "transformed people" from the Changle Labor Camp are being used by police to directly persecute practitioners. They insanely slandered Dafa and Master, and tortured practitioners by denying them sleep for seven days and nights. Facing their vicious actions, a practitioner said to Qing with dignity, "You have no right to talk about Dafa or Master. You are like a dog without a backbone, and I have nothing to say to you." The head of the detention center heard this and said to Qing, "Cancer, go away, nobody wants to hear from you!" Qing Yongjie then awkwardly left with an artificial smile.
3. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Practitioners Use Quick Thinking to Escape
Around 10:00 am on August 17, 2001, practitioners Peng Shiqing and Mo Liqiong used quick thinking to escape from their unlawful court trial. The police have offered a reward of 10,000 Yuan each for the capture of these practitioners.
Let us send forth righteous thoughts together to eradicate the evil and support these practitioners.
4. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Lawless Policemen Forcefully Take Away Practitioners and Ransack Their Homes
On May 17, 2001, policemen broke into the home of practitioner Liu Xia without any legal documents. They arrested Liu Xia, her husband, and practitioner Zhao Hongming while they were printing Dafa truth-clarifying literature. Some policemen lying in wait arrested practitioners Jiang Minyue and his wife Sun Yanbo as they paid a visit to Liu Xia's home in the evening. The police also confiscated many Dafa books, videotapes and audiotapes, truth-clarifying materials, a laptop, a laser printer, and other equipment. They also took the family's valuables, contingency money, and the money the practitioners carried with them. We hope that kind-hearted people from all over the world will pay attention to these practitioners' situation and help protect them from further persecution.
5. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Police Openly Ransack and Loot Practitioners' Homes
At around 1 am on July 22, 2001, thirteen to fourteen police officers from the Pingdu City Police Department and Renzhao County Police Station stormed into Dongzhaojia Village. The police were led by the village's Party Secretary, Zhao Yanke, and village Secretary, Zhao Yongjun. They entered practitioner Dai Juye's courtyard by climbing over the part of her roof that extended past the wall. They broke down the door, entered the house and arrested Dai Juye. They also ransacked the house and took away 120 Yuan. (Yuan, Chinese currency. The average monthly income of an urban worker is 500 Yuan. )
The police then broke into practitioner Zhao Yougong's home by climbing over the walls of his courtyard. After discovering that Zhao Yougong was away appealing for Falun Gong in Beijing, they handcuffed his wife and hit her when she called out. They ransacked her house, confiscating 1,200 Yuan and a color TV. The police also tried to force his wife to give them the family's motorcycle. Zhao's child was so frightened that he ran out of the house, but he was chased down and brought back. The police closely monitored the child and forbade him from calling out. They knew that what they were doing was wrong and did not want anyone to find out.
The next night at around 1 AM, again led by Zhao Yanke and Zhao Yongjun, these policemen went to practitioner Zhang Yuying's home. The police took her away by force, ransacked her home, and confiscated her motor scooter.
These policemen then broke into practitioner Zhao Minxiang's home by knocking down the security door and window. They took away and handcuffed his daughter, who was asleep and dressed only in her underclothes at the time. When her son protested, he was beaten.
The police also forced their way into Sun Kelin's home while he was away appealing in Beijing. They took everything of value, including a television, and even beat his wife in the process.
The above-mentioned practitioners have been forced into the brainwashing class sponsored by Pingdu City Pantao County.
6. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] The Ordeals of Farmer Wang Xiyu
Practitioner Wang Xiyu from Xiaoge Farm of Pingdu Township was detained for 30 days beginning on June 29, 2001. Her "crime" was her persistence in cultivating Dafa and exposing the crimes of Jiang Zemin's gang. When her term was up, she was not released, but instead she was formally arrested on July 29, 2001. During this entire time, her family has been forbidden to see her. Currently, Wang Xiyu has a disabled husband and two young daughters to look after. Her younger daughter is in junior high school, and her older daughter has been forced to take up the burden of running the household. It is not difficult to imagine this family's difficult situation.
Practitioner Wang is currently in prison, and her future is uncertain. We hope that people from all around the world will be able to lend a helping hand and stop the persecution.
7. [Guangdong Province] Couple Arrested, Leaving Five-Year-Old Child at Home
A practitioner couple was recently arrested. The husband, Zijing, was first arrested and later released when he went to Beijing last year to appeal for Falun Gong. This year, he flew to Beijing on a business trip and was arrested as soon as he arrived. Because Zijing refused to cooperate with the police, his house was ransacked, and he and his wife Meihua were both sent to Xili Prison in Shenzhen City. They have a five-year-old child who is currently attending the kindergarten run by Zijing's company. The company says that if no one can look after the child, then he will be sent to a foster home.
A practitioner from Guangdong Province was arrested in 1999 for displaying a banner in Tiananmen Square. This practitioner was held in the Shaoguan Prison for a year. He continued to clarify the truth about Dafa after being released in June this year and was again arrested in Nanjing.
