(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Falun Dafa practitioner; I was arrested while clarifying the truth of the persecution of Falun Dafa during the Chinese New Year in February of 2002. I was later taken to the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, to serve a two-year term. I personally witnessed many of the atrocities committed against Dafa practitioners by the 7th Brigade guards at the Wanjia Labor Camp
Initially they would put on a friendly face to persuade Dafa practitioners to abandon their belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance." If that failed they would use four collaborators [former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture] to attempt deception. If Dafa practitioners were firm and unyielding, they would reveal their vicious nature and the torture would begin. Each day, department head Zhao Qingyu in administration and warden Yao tied two Dafa practitioners' hands behind their backs and hung them in the hallway with their toes barely touching the ground for an entire day. In the evening, they used electric batons to shock them. They specifically shocked certain acupuncture points to intensify the pain. They yelled as they shocked the practitioners, "Are you giving up? If you don't, we will beat you to death. You will die for nothing as nobody will know." Dafa practitioners' bodies were often covered with bruises and blisters from the shocks. When the guards got tired, they found some convicts to continue with the torture. The convicts dared not disobey the guard's orders, and beat the practitioners hard. Some Dafa practitioners received a black eye while others were beaten so bad they could not straighten up. Some were shackled to iron chairs for two weeks and not allowed to sleep. As soon as they closed their eyes they were immediately shocked with electric batons.
At the 12th Brigade, the Dafa practitioners who were steadfast were forced to sit on plastic stools from 8 o'clock in the morning until midnight. They were only allowed to get off at mealtimes and to use the toilet. They were not allowed visitations by their relatives, nor could they accept food sent to them. Harbin Dafa practitioner Yu Xiulian was forced to sit on the iron chair for seven days straight. Her feet and legs became so swollen that she could not wear shoes. Li Jing was shackled to the iron chair for ten days; her face and neck were also covered with open wounds as a result of the electric shocks.
At the 7th Brigade at Wanjia Labor Camp alone, the cases of persecution were too numerous to mention. I witnessed all this in less than half a year. I hope all human rights organizations around the world can pay special attention and put a stop to this persecution.
