On September 11, 2002, over ten policemen surrounded the house of Dafa practitioners Lei Fuhou and Li Zaili, a couple from the Qingshan District, Wuhan City. The practitioner couple resolutely resisted the evils and left home on September 12 with righteous thoughts, thus being forced to become homeless. Though nobody was in the house, the lawless policemen pried the door open and illegally searched the house. The couple's work unit also illegally suspended their retirement pension. Those who participated in this arrest included persons from the No.1 Section of the Qingshan Police Precinct, Qingshan District's Xingouqiao Police Precinct, Qingshan District's Thermoelectric Factory and the factory's community.

Falun Gong practitioners were brutally tortured in Jiangxia District's Brainwashing Class in Wuhan City. Recently, the guards even went to Wuhan City's Yangyuan Brainwashing Class to "learn experiences,"[The experiences of how to torture Falun Gong practitioners -- translator] then use more despicable means to persecute Dafa practitioners, such as depriving Dafa practitioners of sleep for 24 hours; over twenty persons taking turns brainwashing Dafa practitioners, beating and kicking them, and forcing Dafa practitioners to stand, facing the wall, for long periods without a moment of sitting down.

It was said that Dehui City's Police Department in Jilin Province issued arrest orders for eleven Dafa practitioners, including Mr. Sun Qian, Ms. Zhang Wenfeng, Ms. Jiang Chunxian, Mr. Liu Baijun, Ms. Liu Dianling, Mr. Jia Yunxia, Mr. Hu Jie, Mr. Lin Hongfei and other three unknown practitioners. Now Dehui City's Prosecutor Department and Dehui City's Court are fabricating accusations and are attempting to aggravate the persecution against the eleven Dafa practitioners by holding an illegal trial.

Toward the end of 1999, practitioner Mr. Zheng Zhicheng from Shanhaiguan City, Hebei Province was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor. On December 3, 2002, after five months' detention in the local police department, Zheng Zhicheng once again was sentenced to three years of imprisonment in Tangshan City's Forced Labor Camp. During the detention, Zheng Zhicheng was inhumanly tortured. Consequently, right now he is very weak.

Since 1999, officials from Handan City's Power and Light Bureau have been following the commands from the local "610 Office" [An agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Whenever the sensitive days approach (such as a festival day or a political rally), officials strengthen their surveillance on all practitioners. Some practitioners were laid off from the bureau, and some were sent to forced labor camps.

Practitioner Ms. Huang Jinfen was detained in a detention center for a year just because she did not go to the so-called "Public Trial" of Dafa practitioners. After she was bailed out with a lot of money, she could not get employment and or a salary because she refused to write the "guarantee statement." (this statement forces Dafa practitioners to renounce their belief in Dafa, apologize for having practiced Falun Dafa, promise to never again associate with other practitioners or go to Beijing to appeal). Since January 2000 until today, no practitioners in the bureau have received any bonus (bonus is twice the amount of salary).

In October 2002, the authority of Nanmofang Township, Chaoyang District, created a document form defaming Falun Dafa and ordered all residents in the area who had practiced Falun Gong before to declare their stand and sign this form. Dafa practitioner Wang Yuling, who had been to Tiananmen Square to validate Dafa at the end of 2000 and had been sentenced to one year of forced labor afterwards, took this opportunity to expose the vicious persecution on the form. She also wrote a letter to Li He, the township's party committee director, telling him her personal experience of cultivating Dafa and exposing the persecution she had suffered. As a result, on October 28, seven or eight policemen led by Li Wantai from the Nanmofang Police Station broke into her home and illegally took her to the police station. They attempted to force her to write the so-called "repentance statement" [A statement to acknowledge remorse for practicing Falun Gong, to give up Falun Gong, and to never again associate with those practitioners who practice Falun Gong and/or go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong.]. She resolutely refused. She was later detained at Chaoyang District's Detention Center. At present, she has again been sentenced to forced labor.

On August 31, 2002, police from the Babaishang Police Station arrested Dafa practitioner Liu Guiqin from the Babaishang No.1 Primary School because she clarified the truth of Falun Gong to people. At the same time they ransacked her home. Up to now, she has been detained at Daqing City's Detention Center for almost four months. Recently, in order to further persecute her, the lawless personnel have been collecting so-called evidence and are scheming to sentence her to a prison term. Police from the Babaishang Police Station have been constantly interrogating Liu and trying to find out the source of the truth-clarifying materials. Liu Guiqin firmly resisted the evil.

Chen Yafan, female, is a resident of Hongwei Village, Daqing City. Since she turned against Dafa and got released in 2001 from Harbin City's Drug Rehabilitation Center, she has been closely collaborating with persons from the local "610 Office" and is frequently visiting Daqing City's Brainwashing Class, Detention Center, Forced Labor Camp, Harbin City's Drug Rehabilitation Center. She uses all kinds of vicious tricks to force Dafa practitioners to give up their belief. It's her suggestion to Daqing City's Forced Labor Camp to deprive Dafa practitioners of sleep and put them on the Tiger Bench torture instrument (see illustration on http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2001/11/24/16156.html). She also told policemen to beat up practitioners if they didn't compromise. She closely collaborated with vile person Wang Zhigang from Changchun City, obtained a lot of Dafa-slandering materials there and distributed them everywhere.
