Chinese police have detained an American and a Canadian who staged a protest on Beijing's Tiananmen Square against China's ban on the Falun Gong spiritual movement.

The two were identified as Levi Browde of the United States and Jason Loftus of Canada.

About 500 Falun Dafa practitioners from the US, Canada and Taiwan gathered and exchanged experiences in Fa-rectification cultivation and clarifying the truth. The conference was concluded at 5:00 p.m. with the practitioners' chorus "Step on Return Journey," "Be Saved" and "Falun Dafa is good". After the conference, the practitioners held experience sharing in small groups until late at night.
