While Martias Slas was detained in Beijing after participating in a peaceful demonstration on Tiananmen Square on February 14, reporters from many news agencies interviewed Mrs. Slas. Major newspaper and TV stations all gave positive reports on the event. The Minister of Department of Foreign Affairs called Mrs. Slas and expressed that he would try his best to help Martias return to Belgium as soon as possible.
On February 15, Belgian practitioners welcomed Martias home at the Brussels train station. Major TV stations broadcast the event. Then VTR TV invited practitioners to a live interview at their prime time slot. Martias told the truth of Jiang regime's persecution against Falun Dafa and introduced Falun Gong to the audience. He further called upon the Belgian government and people, international organizations, and news media to learn more about Falun Gong and help stop the slandering and defamation of Falun Gong by the Chinese Embassy in Belgium. He further urged the Chinese government stop the persecution and killing of Falun Gong practitioners.
