We, the over 100 Canadian Falun Gong practitioners currently on hunger strike on Parliament Hill, urgently appeal to our Government with all our heart and body:
1. Issue an official and public statement or resolution to express the Canadian government's strong condemnation against the recent "Shoot on sight" and "Kill without Pardon" orders towards Falun Gong practitioners issued by the Chinese President.
2. Initiate a resolution that strongly and specifically condemns the persecution of Falun Dafa in China at the annual meeting of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, starting on March 18, 2002 in Geneva.
Please note a general human rights resolution will not protect Falun Dafa practitioners in China. The Chinese president has groundlessly stated that "eliminating Falun Gong is improving China's human rights."
3. Stop China's misuse of their diplomatic immunity to incite hatred against Falun Gong amongst our fellow Canadians, via holding hate exhibitions and circulating hate literature to various levels of our Canadian society, etc. Directly communicate that such conduct violates our Canadian Constitution, regardless if it takes place inside or outside the Chinese Embassy or Consulates in Canada.
The above will serve to benefit all Canadian and Chinese people, and leave a dignified example for future generation. We trust our government will have the insight and courage to do what is right.
We are eagerly looking forward to seeing the results of these noble actions.
Sincerely,
All Falun Dafa practitioners on hunger strike on Parliament Hill.
