March 15, 2002
To all Media:
Hong Kong Police claimed in a statement on March 14, 2002 that five police officers were hurt slightly during the removal of protesting Falun Gong practitioners. They alleged that some officers were kicked in the chest and one was bitten on the arm. Late last night, the practitioners in detention clarified the truth: "Falun Gong practitioners always behave in a peaceful way according to the principle of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." The claim that a police officer was bitten on arm by practitioners was pure slander that came from other motives. On the contrary, 9 practitioners were hurt by the police's actions. After the practitioners requested to go to the hospital for a check-up, the police intentionally delayed and tried to hide the truth. Regarding the above-mentioned parties' deliberate breaking of the law, Falun Gong practitioners reserve the right to sue.
Falun Gong practitioners are going to expose the brutal actions of the Hong Kong police. Details will be announced later.
