Several people were chatting about Falun Gong. One officer from the railroad police department said, "Recently, we have received many VCDs. They are all about Falun Gong," Another person said, "My relative gave me a Falun Gong disc. I have not seen it yet." The officer said, "You should look at their VCD. It is evidence-based and reasonable. It is quite good and worth watching. You should be hurry back home and watch it."

2. [Yangzi, Shandong Province] Jiang's New Law -- Visiting During New Year Incurs Fines

During the 2002 Chinese New Year, several villagers who do not practice Falun Gong went to visit a practitioner's family. They were watching television and playing cards when the police came in unexpectedly. The police forcefully took the practitioner away and fined the villagers about 2,000 Yuan per person. The police fined citizens for no reason and disturbed their New Year.

In Jinan City, Shandong Province, the police arrested female practitioner Tian Fengying during the Chinese New Year.

3. [Beijing, China] Authorities from Panzhihua City's Liaison Office in Beijing Insult Female Falun Dafa Practitioner

In January 2000, the practitioners from Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province went to Beijing to appeal and were sent to Panzhihua City's liaison office in Beijing. It was bitterly cold in Beijing with ice and snow on the ground. They forced many practitioners to take off their overcoats and shoes, and left them with only a single layer of clothing. When they saw a young female practitioner, they stripped her down to only her bra and underpants. She was crying and struggling. The policemen maliciously stared at her and laughed.

I am a handicapped, lonely man of more than 60 years of age. Before I practiced Falun Gong, I was dependent on a wheelchair for 8 years due to a stroke. I had no children, and after my wife died, I could not take care of myself. I lived a life that was worse than death. When I started to practice Falun Gong in 1996, my body changed dramatically. Not only were many of my diseases cured, but also I could walk to the park independently. Falun Dafa gave me a brand-new life.

However, I was arrested many times because I persisted in practicing Falun Gong. My home was searched many times. Recently, they took all of my life-savings. They do not care about whether I live or die. This is indeed inhuman! I hope kind people in the world could say some fair words for me.

6. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Police Arrest People and Search Homes, Terror Covers Changchun First Automobile Factory

Since March 5, 2002, when Changchun Cable TV broadcasted the truth of Falun Dafa, terror has covered Changchun. The loud sound of police sirens is everywhere on the street, day and night. Many practitioners have been forcefully taken from their homes for no apparent reason, sometimes in the middle of the night. The Jincheng Police Department again closely followed Jiang's regime and has committed enormous crimes against the residents in the Changchun First Automobile Factory's residential area. They called upon the residential office, local police station, and some neighborhood thugs to break into Dafa practitioners' homes and conduct illegal searches. They tried to force practitioners to write their attitudes regarding the incident of cable TV and sign their names. When the practitioners refused, they ordered the police and the thugs to forcefully drag the practitioners into the police cars. Some practitioners were only wearing one layer of clothing when arrested. According to several sources, more than ten practitioners were illegally kidnapped, and their homes were confiscated, including elderly people who are seventy or eighty years old. More residents' phones were tapped and monitored around the clock. The phone switchboard of one residential area was even changed from being computer operated to having human operators. Many practitioners were forced to become homeless.

7. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Shuangyang District Police Illegally Arrest 70 Falun Dafa Practitioners

In Shuangyang District, Changchun City, the police have been madly arresting practitioners since March 8, 2002. They arrested around 70 practitioners and illegally detained them at the Shuangyang Detention Center. They are to be detained for 15 days. After 15 days, the officials will release those who write statements promising to quit practicing Falun Gong. Those who refuse to write such statements might be sent to labor camps. Officials will take other measures towards those practitioners from whose houses they uncover any Falun Dafa materials. They will not allow family members to visit practitioners. Now the police department and the local police stations have ordered that each officer has to catch several practitioners.

Some evil people borrowed ladders from firefighters and climbed into a practitioner's home from the sixth floor window to arrest the practitioner. Those practitioners who were not arrested often had many police coming to their houses several times a day. Many practitioners have been forced to become homeless. We would like to ask all practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts to eradicate the evil that persecutes the practitioners.

8. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Plainclothes Police Drive Taxi to Lure and Arrest Falun Dafa Practitioners

Changchun plainclothes police drove a taxi to lure and arrest Falun Dafa practitioners. Many public phones are tapped and monitored. Police continuously patrol at nights. Practitioners should pay attention to their safety and keep righteous thoughts at all times to eliminate the evil.

9. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Changchun 610 Office Holds Another Brainwashing Class

The Changchun 610 Office illegally ran another brainwashing class at the Jilin Province police reception center located near Tiebei Switch Factory. (The 610 office is an agency specifically created to persecuteáFalun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.)They have detained many practitioners there.

11. [Dawei Township, Emeishan City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Ma Yuman Arrested

At around 10 a.m. on January 9, 2002, when Ma Yuman, a Falun Gong practitioner from the 5th group of Linci Village of Sichuan Province, clarified the truth about Falun Gong to people and distributed truth-clarification CDs, a wicked person reported him to the police. Later, three policemen and an official arrested him. No one knows his current whereabouts. We hope that Dafa practitioners can help look for him.

12. [Hailun City, Heilongjiang Province] Two Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested and Sent to the Second Detention Center

Wen Jitao, a Falun Gong practitioner from Hailun City, Heilongjiang Province, was arrested and beaten by the police, and sent to the Second Detention Center in early March. In addition, Ding Jun, a practitioner from Kaoshantun Village, Dongfanghong Township, was reported by someone on the afternoon of March 12. He was arrested and sent to the Second Detention Center as well.

13. [Chongqing City, Sichuan Province] Tongnan County Officials Extort Money and Valuables from Falun Gong Practitioners

The evil forces in Tongnan County of Chongqing City arrested a large group of Falun Gong practitioners in 2001 and detained them in the County Detention Center to extort money and valuables from them. Everyone had to pay 3,000 Yuan in order to be released [the average monthly salary of an urban worker in China is about 500 Yuan, but only 200 Yuan for a rural worker]. In addition, the police also charged 30 Yuan per day per person for "living expenses." For the practitioners from poor, rural areas, it was very difficult for them to pay this, and it put them in difficult circumstances.

14. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] The Anshan Forced Labor Camp Has No Regard for Falun Gong Practitioners' Critical Health Conditions and Arrest Practitioners Who Had Been Released on Bail to Get Medical Care

Liu Suhuan, a Falun Gong practitioner from Anshan City, Liaoning Province, had been illegally detained at the Anshan Forced Labor Camp for over a year. In order to oppose the illegal detention, she went on a hunger strike. Four days later, her health had deteriorated to a dangerous state. Because the Anshan Forced Labor Camp had tortured one practitioner to death before, they were afraid of being held responsible for Liu's death, so they released her. Recently, after Jiang Zemin gave the order of "kill without pardon," they forcibly carried Liu back to the labor camp with no regard for her critical health condition.

Something similar happened to practitioner Zhang Guanghong. He had been released on bail to get medical care due to symptoms of diabetes during his detention at the labor camp. About ten days after his release, the labor camp officials arrested him again.

15. [Liaoning Province] Please Pay Attention to the Current Situation of Practitioner Wang Lin

Wang Lin, a Falun Gong practitioner from Dalian Bay, was arrested by the Frontier Defense Police Station in Dalian Bay in January 2002 and illegally sentenced to forced labor camp for distributing Dafa truth-clarification materials. In December Wang's father grew seriously ill, so his wife went to the forced labor camp in hopes that Wang might be able to come home to see his father. When his wife went to the camp, however, she found out that Wang had been illegally transferred to Guanshan Forced Labor Camp in Changtu, Shenyang City on December 5 for further detention and persecution, because he was determined in Dafa cultivation.

Geng Yongfeng, director of the police station, who illegally arrested Wang Lin, has now been dismissed. Geng had illegally arrested many Dafa practitioners and sent them to detention centers or forced labor camps.

The director of the police station who illegally sentenced Dafa practitioners to forced labor camps is Zhang Wuhui.

16. [Guangdong Province] Several Falun Gong Practitioners Detained at the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp Have Their Terms Extended for Not Giving up Their Practice of Falun Gong

In the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp, practitioners whose terms have been extended for not giving up cultivation include You Xianbang (original term was from December 2000 to December 2001), Xie Hanzhu (original term was from December 1999 to December 2001), Ye Qiuan (original term was from February 2002 to February 2002), Huang Yutian (original term was from February 2000 to February 2002), Hong Haoyuan whose term is about due (original term was from March 2000 to March 2002), Chen Siguo (original term was from April 2000 to April 2002). Upright people from all walks of life, please pay attention to what is happening to them!

Falun Gong practitioners Dai Yongmei, Mai Chenying and Chen Yingqi, who were detained at the Sanshui Female Forced Labor Camp, have been illegally detained for an extra 8 months for not giving up their beliefs. In November 2001, they were transferred from the Sanshui Female Forced Labor Camp to Shaoguan Female Prison. The police at the Sanshui Female Forced Labor Camp said that they were sentenced to prison to be reformed. Kindhearted and upright people from all walks of life, please pay attention to what is happening to them!

17. [Tongzhou District, Beijing] Practitioner Yang Huirong Illegally Arrested

One night in early March 2002, police officer Jiao and other policemen of Tongzhou District in Beijing broke into practitioner Yang Huirong's home and illegally arrested her.

Yang is determined in cultivating Dafa and had been forced to become homeless for over a year to avoid being arrested. The local police had forced her family members to lead the way to Sanhe, Su County, Changzhou and other places to search for her, but were unsuccessful. Persecuting her has brought calamities to ordinary people. Once, when a police officer was waiting somewhere in an attempt to seize her, an old woman passed by, and the police officer jumped out and threw himself upon the old woman. Shortly after, he realized that she was not Yang Huirong, but the old woman had already been so startled that she became incontinent.

Before the police illegally arrested Yang, they sent Yang's daughter, Liu Ying, and another practitioner, Zhou Hongyun, to the Seniors Center in Tongzhou District. The police subjected them to the forced brainwashing classes that they had set up there.

18. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Police Openly Broadcast on TV: Rewards Will Be Given for Reporting Dafa Practitioners

As a result of the "Hubei Falun Dafa Day," practitioners in Xiantao City, Hubei Province stepped forward to clarify the truth in various ways and save people. They distributed Dafa truth-clarifying flyers, posted Dafa materials, distributed CDs, and hung up Dafa banners, which powerfully overwhelmed the evil.

The police were very scared. They made the rounds 24 hours a day and sent people everywhere to wait to seize practitioners. The police station decided that they must arrest the practitioners who make the truth-clarifying materials, but the evil's plots are not effective at all in the face of the powerful righteous thoughts of practitioners. Finally, after exhausting their whole bag of tricks, they incessantly broadcast on TV their order and notice: "Report one Falun Gong practitioner, and you will be rewarded 300 Yuan; seize one practitioner who posts Dafa materials or distributes Dafa flyers, and you will be rewarded 1000 Yuan." However, due to the practitioners' truth clarification, more and more people have started awaken. No one cooperated with the evil.

19. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Zhu Tianfu from Cheliu Township, Fangzi District Illegally Arrested

At around 9:00 a.m. on March 3, 2002, when practitioner Zhu Tianfu was doing some work around the house, suddenly a group of police from the Cheliu Township Police Station jumped over the fence and broke into his house. Without showing a warrant, the police forcibly arrested him. Now Zhu is being illegally detained in the Fangzi Detention Center, and his family members are not allowed to visit him. This was planned and directed by Wang Quanfeng, the wicked person who persecutes Dafa practitioners in the Fangzi District. We call for the help and attention of international organizations and people of goodwill.
