During a press conference in Toronto, he told the journalists that he had been forced to sit on a very narrow low stool from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm every day; he was often brainwashed by the officials and denied any correspondence with his wife. The Toronto College Students' Administrative Council especially sent a representative to attend the press conference expressing their support to Lin Shenli.
