Beijing: The banned Falun Gong movement in China has succeeded with a promotion-coup by broadcasting two videos on a TV-channel in Northeast China. This was confirmed by a TV-channel and by the spiritual movement today.
The videos were shown earlier this week on several channels, that can reach some million viewers in the city Changchun in Jilin province, according to Falun Gong's head office in New York.

In one video the official version contradicts itself by an event in January 2001, when two people died in Tiananmen Square in Beijing.

Despite the authorities cracking down on Falun Gong, the support for the movement is deeply rooted in Northeast China, especially in Changchun.

According to human rights groups estimations, hundreds of Falun Gong adherents have been sentenced to prison and thousands sent to labour camps.
