AFP: Japanese Husband of Falungong Member Urges Beijing to Release His Wife

TOKYO, May 27 (AFP) - The husband of a 37-year-old Chinese member of the Falungong spiritual group called on China Monday to release his wife, who was arrested in Beijing last week along with two other Japanese [practitioners].

Some Understandings of Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, I met a fellow Falun Dafa practitioner with whom I had been detained in a labor camp. I was greatly inspired by his understanding of sending forth righteous thoughts. Having read cultivation books before, he knew that when a cultivator reaches his final stage of cultivation, his master will tell him something truly important, which will be the power weapon that the cultivator can use to defeat the evil and reach consummation. When he learned of Master's Fa-rectification formulas in the labor camp, he was very excited. He calmed himself down and recited the formulas when he meditated, when he was persecuted by the evil, and even in his dreams. He kept reciting the formulas constantly until his mind became blank, clear and transparent. At that time, most of the other Dafa practitioners did not pay enough attention or paid no attention to sending forth righteous thoughts; they just tried to stop the evil's persecution in human ways. During that period of time, practitioners were tortured every day and some wrote the "repentance letter" [a form used by the evil to indicate that the practitioner has given up practicing Falun Dafa]under pressure. He acted according to what he had enlightened to, and in less than two months, he walked out of the labor camp in a dignified manner.

Clearly Recognize the Interference from the Old Forces and Deviated Notions

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, I was greatly inspired after reading the article written by a fellow practitioner entitled, "Looking Inward: My Relationship with the Old Forces and Their Deviated Notions." (http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2002/5/20/22228.html) I finally understood the reason why those things that were meant to be eliminated by my daily sending forth righteous thoughts still existed: it was because I did not look within myself. In fact, I did not have a clear understanding about what exactly the old forces were. Therefore, when I was sending forth righteous thoughts every day, it was done rather blindly, which in turn provided an opportunity for the evil old forces to remain and interfere with me. For a long time, I could not break through this barrier and could not find its cause.
