Summary:
For practicing Falun Gong, I was illegally detained at the Jidong Detention Center for 18 days in late September of 1999. An officer at the Political Security Section of Jidong Police Station named Liang Ziyi extorted 1200 Yuan [about half-year income for an average farmer in China] from me. After I was released, I went to Beijing on December 9, 2000 to validate the Fa at Tiananmen Square. For appealing, I was arrested by the Beijing police and brutally beaten. Policemen from Jidong Town sent me back to Jidong. Zhao Wang, the head of Piyang Police Station and an officer at the Political Security Section of Jidong Police Station named Li Qinghua each extorted 3,000 Yuan from me. I was detained in Jidong Detention Center for four months and was extorted 800 Yuan.

Summary:
On January 2, 2001 I left Jidong for Beijing to visit the Central Government Appeals Bureau in an effort to clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. I was arrested for appealing, which goes against the Chinese Constitution. During my arrest, a policeman named Meng at Jidong Police Station's liaison office in Beijing extorted 270 Yuan from me and then released me.
On the afternoon of January 4, Zhao Wan, the head of Piyang Police Station, led a team of policemen to my house demanding 3,000 Yuan in exchange for my jail time. I borrowed 3,000 Yuan to pay the policemen and thought that that would end the situation. However, the police came back for additional 1,000 Yuan, and then put me in the Jidong Detention Center for 100 days. I was forced to pay for all my meals, which cost me a total of 816 Yuan. Before releasing me, the police forced me spend another 15 Yuan to buy three pamphlets that defamed Dafa.

Summary:
Despite my little education, I could not sit at home while Falun Dafa was being persecuted and misunderstood by the Chinese government. Accordingly, I decided to visit the Central Government Appeals Bureau in Beijing to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. After arriving in Beijing, I was illegally arrested at Tiananmen Square. During the arrest, the policemen kept beating me until I lost my consciousness. When I came to, I was already in a police car being sent to the Changshan Forced Labor Camp. When my name and address were discovered, I was sent back to Jidong Village. The Assistant and the Secretary of the Head of Jidong Village awaited me at my home and demanded that I give them 3,300 Yuan. The Jidong Police Station extorted 2000 Yuan from me.

We traveled together to Beijing on July 29, 1999 to validate the Fa, but were illegally arrested in Beijing. Then we were taken back by a policeman named Chen from Yongan Township of Jidong County. Policeman Chen extorted 150 and 200 Yuan from us respectively. We were kept in Jidong Detention Center for three days. Jidong Police Station extorted 2,000 Yuan from each of us. In addition, Pinyang Police Station extorted 500 Yuan from each of us and forced us to buy Dafa-defaming pamphlets that cost 15 Yuan for each person. To this date, the Jidong Police Station still illegally holds our resident identification cards.
