1. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Yang Xuegui Is Put on Secret Trial in the Gansu Provincial Prison Hospital
Falun Dafa practitioner Yang Xuegui from Lanzhou City, Gansu Province has been forced to wander, homeless for his refusal to give up his belief in Falun Dafa. He was arrested on September 3, 2001 in Jinchang. After the exposure of the police brutality against him on the Minghui website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net) on October 22, 2001, the police secretly sent him to the No. 2 People's Hospital. The police had exhausted all possible means of inhumane torture in an attempt to force him to give up cultivation and reveal information about his fellow practitioners. Yang resolutely refused. The police handcuffed his hands behind his back, bent his calves under his thighs, and shackled his ankles to a bench for several days and nights. His eyes turned dark purple due to the beatings he received, and there were injuries all over his body.
The No. 1 Division of the Lanzhou Police Department sent him to the infamous Xiguoyuan Detention Center. In the dark and damp environment at the detention center, Yang became inflamed with scabies and was sent to the Gansu Provincial Prison Hospital.
On June 6, 2002, the Qilihe District Court and Prosecuting Council in Lanzhou City illegally set up a courtroom in the provincial prison hospital and secretly put Yang Xuegui on trial.
2. [Qinghai Province] Large Number of Falun Gong Truth-Clarifying Materials Distributed in a University in Qinghai Province
Around April 25, 2002, in Huangzhong County as well as around Duoba Forced Labor Camp, a large number of truth-clarifying Falun Dafa leaflets appeared. A broadcast of the truth about Falun Dafa took place three times, each lasting one hour. The evil forces were shocked and intimidated.
Recently the Xining City Police Department in Qinghai Province has gone unchecked in arresting Falun Dafa practitioners. The authorities claimed that they have caught the leaders who were in charge of producing truth-clarifying Falun Dafa materials. Still Falun Dafa materials, banners, and CD's that clarify the truth are being distributed everywhere.
Not long ago, on campus at a university in Qinghai Province, many Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials appeared. Falun Dafa practitioners have been clarifying the truth with rationality and wisdom. The "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] has been forced to chase one lead after another.
3. [Beijing] Falun Dafa Practitioners on Hunger Strikes Held Secretly in the Basement of Beijing Municipal Police Department Hospital
Many Falun Dafa practitioners who are on hunger strikes have been illegally held in the basement of the Beijing Municipal Police Department Hospital. Some of the practitioners have been on hunger strikes to protest the evil persecution for over six months. However the police simply will not release them. These practitioners have been force-fed and forcibly injected with medicine. We hope that people in all walks of life pay attention to this.
4. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Wang Guojian, Former President of Qianyuan Traditional Chinese Medicine Institute, Is Illegally Sentenced to Prison
Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Guojian from Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province is the former president of Qianyuan Traditional Chinese Medicine Institute. After July 20, 1999, Wang was once illegally detained on criminal charges for going to Beijing to file an appeal for Falun Gong.
In January 2001, Wang Guojian downloaded from the Internet and duplicated over four hundred copies of Falun Dafa materials. Unfortunately the police confiscated these materials. After being illegally held for over a year, Wang Guojian has recently received a three year prison term from the Yingze District Court in Taiyuan City on fabricated and unsubstantiated charges.
5. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Seventy-Two-Year-Old Female Practitioner Yu Yaling Sent Directly to Forced Labor Camp upon Illegal Arrest
On June 6, 2002, the "610 Office" immediately arrested 72-year-old female Falun Dafa practitioner Yu Yaling in Shijiazhuang City, just as she returned home from out of town. She was sent directly to the forced labor camp without being presented any legal documents to undergo so-called "reform through forced labor."
6. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Gansu Provincial Prison Hospital Falsifies Testimonies of "Death by Natural Causes" in Conspiracy with the No. 1 Detention Center of Lanzhou City
The No. 1 Detention Center of Lanzhou City (the infamous Xiguoyuan Detention Center) has tortured to death three Falun Dafa practitioners. Falun Dafa practitioner Zhang Fengyun (female, originally held in the 14th Team) was sent to Gansu Provincial Prison Hospital after she died from torture. Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Lanxiang (female, originally held in the 14th Team) died in the hospital two days after being sent there. Falun Dafa practitioner Wan Guifu (male, originally held in the 4th Team) was brutally beaten, causing severe injury to the internal organs in his chest. Wan was unconscious when he was sent to the hospital, and died three days later. These three practitioners died as a result of brutal torture, yet the Gansu Provincial Prison Hospital stated in their death certificates that it was due to "natural causes."

7. [Duoba Town, Qinghai Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Tang Fabang in Critical Condition after Hunger Strike Lasting Over Fifty Days
Recently, Falun Dafa practitioner Tang Fabang has been on a hunger strike for over fifty days in Duoba Town, Qinghai Province. Tang remains in critical condition. We call for the attention from all people.
8. [Huangzhong County, Qinghai Province] Police Officers Ransack Homes and Take Possession of Private Property
It is reported that the police have ransacked Falun Dafa practitioner He Wanzhu's home, and confiscated a TV set, a VCD player, boom boxes, recorders, and walkmans. Besides these things, the police also took 6,000 Yuan his two sons had saved from odd jobs they worked around town to pay back debts. [The average monthly salary of an urban worker is about 500 Yuan.] The police found 600 Yuan in his wife's wardrobe and tried to take it away as well. His wife (not a Falun Dafa practitioner) found out just in time, sternly demanded it back from the police, and resisted these barbaric acts.
The police also ransacked the homes of Falun Dafa practitioners Xu Xianglan, Zhang Huiqing, Hao Min and others.
9. [Yingyang, Henan Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Wei Chengde, Jing Lianxin and Others Abducted to Sanlizhuang Detention Center
Falun Dafa practitioners Wei Chengde, Jing Lianxin and other fellow practitioners in Yingyang, Henan Province were missing on June 5. Their family members said that they had been arrested and taken to Sanlizhuang Detention Center. It is the busy season for farm work, and the families are short of hands for harvesting wheat crops.
10. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Heilongjiang Institute of Science and Technology Violates Academic Conscience
Students in the Heilongjiang Science and Technology Institute in Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province have been forced to compose "materials" that criticize and curse Falun Dafa. Each and every student has to pass this test. Those independent-thinking students who refused to follow the crowd have received pressure from the school authorities, and the school used various methods in an attempt to brainwash these students.
