(Clearwisdom.net) On the Internet, I read another report about the mass murder of 16 students, teachers and a policeman at a school in Erfurt, which has dominated the news reports since late April when the tragic event occurred. The news reminded me of the terrorist attack in New York. One of our practitioners had written a report about the incident, in which she mentioned that she visited the scene of the disaster, where the victims' photos were lain in memory of those who had lost their lives. The practitioner placed a Falun Gong newspaper beside them, the title: "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance." Hearing the story reminded me of these words of Master Li, "The world needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance."
I believe I can understand the Erfurt residents' bewilderment, shock and sorrow. I feel very much like they must feel whenever I read reports about the persecution, torture and cruel murder of women, men and children who practice Falun Gong in China.
Then, a wish arose from deep in the bottom of my heart - spreading the truth of Falun Gong to the people in Erfurt.
Many fellow practitioners thought that the idea was very good. Thus, they supported me and were happy to join in. We rented a car and prepared a large banner reading "The world needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance." There were also many practitioners coming from other cities. The location of our activity was near a square tower in front of a huge cathedral, the same site where we held an activity last July. When police passed by and asked us why we organized our photo exhibit, I told them something about Falun Gong, its principles and the persecution happening in China.
We demonstrated the exercises to the people there, distributed materials and talked to people from various countries. Some Chinese practitioners made bookmarks at the booth, attracting a large audience.
Standing in front of our SOS banner, people quietly watched us perform the graceful Falun Dafa exercises. I believe they must have felt our peacefulness, and known that this is what we have achieved through our understanding of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.
Judging form their happy faces after reading our large banner, we could tell that they supported us. I thought to myself that these people might go home and mention us to their family members. They might say, "Yes, the world needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance!"
We sent forth righteous thoughts every half hour. We understood that our getting together there was not just for an Information Day, but also for sending righteous thoughts together.
Finally, some practitioners signed their names on the banner reading "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance," and then took the banner to the school where the murder case had taken place several weeks ago. This was a spontaneous idea, which seemed to tell the people in deep grievance that it would be wonderful if all the people could behave themselves with Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. This symbolized that the evil would never overpower the kind.
As I stood in front of the school and looked at the banner reading "The world needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance," I was deeply moved, and further understood why I it was that we arranged this Information Day.
