Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionateáreminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

The head of the "610 Office" in Lindian County, Heilongjiang Province actively persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. In early June of 2002 he died in a car accident. The head of the "610 Office" in Taikang County, Heilongjiang Province was also actively involved in persecuting Falun Dafa. He was hit by a car and is now in a hospital.

In December of 2000, Yu Chuanqiang, a policeman at the Dafangshen Town police substation of Dehui City, Jiling Province illegally arrested and detained two Falun Gong practitioners who were distributing truth-clarifying materials. One of them was fined 4,000 Yuan. In the spring of 2001, a villager struck Yu with an axe on the back of his head because he had not handled his case fairly. Yu ended up having to pay 25,000 Yuan to compensate the villager for his losses and to keep his own job. Soon thereafter Yu lost money again--he had to pay several thousand Yuan for his son's throat operation.

Wang Chengshen, the deputy director of the Public Security Bureau of Dehui County, Jilin Province, is also known for his persecution of Falun Gong. He committed all kinds of crimes against Dafa practitioners hoping to gain some political benefit. He ordered police to abduct practitioners and search their homes. He, however, didn't get the money or other benefits he dreamt of. Instead, he was ordered to step down from his position as deputy director with short notice.

Chen Ming, a policeman at the Public Security Bureau of Luchuan County, Guangxi Province, also actively persecuted Dafa practitioners. He was demoted to a remote village to perform his duties.
